Everything about this apartment was perfect. The bed, sofa, TV, cooking utensils, it really had Everything. The best thing of all was the view, there's nothing more peaceful than waking up, opening the blinds and admiring the view of the lake with the blooming city behind.. And of course with a cup of coffee in hand. If you stay here, I highly recommend you try one of the burgers from Skalli (restuarant/take a away opposite apartment) it's in my top 10 burgers I've ever had. The bakery a bit further down (next to bonus supermarket) also sells some gorgeous cakes and desserts. The amount of detail in the appartment block is also amazing, they have a telescope on the 4th floor, perfect for watching the northern lights or even just getting a closer look at the night time views of the city.

Nothing. I honestly couldn't find a single problem with the appartment.

Apartment is well equipped, you have everything you need, including kettle, microwave, additional pillows and blankets. TV have access to Netflix and YouTube, which was perfect for our evenings. It’s a big far from the city center but if u have a car that shouldn’t be a problem.

- when we came to the apartment, floor was a bit dirty in a way it wasn’t properly vacuumed, in the corridor was dust from the clothes I guess and on the kitchen floor was small pieces from the previous people (but I need to mention that owners were very nice and asked to solve this issue straight away) - in shower, there is no separation on the floor, so water always leaked to the direction of the toilet, was a bit annoying

The property was in a good location if you have a car- 15 minutes from any popular spots and plenty of parking spaces. The staff was very responsive via email and phone.

The room was not clean when we arrived. This was especially frustrating because we had requested an early check-in and were told that would not be possible because the room needed to be cleaned. When we arrived hours after the scheduled check in time, the pull out bed did not have proper sheets and was dirty. There was hair covering the walls and floors that was not ours, as well as dead insects on the walls. However, the staff responded right away to our email and call and arranged for the room to be cleaned the next morning

The apartment was great and the view is amazing. We had an issue when we arrived of having the wrong apartment than we booked but customer service helped fast over the phone in 15 mins we got into the right apartment. The apartment is very spacious and modern and had everything we needed. It has a small kitchen so we can cook something small inside. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was clean. There was washing machines in the corridor of each level with available detergent and ironing board as well. The customer service were very helpful and responsive. The building has a free parking spots and with the car was around 15-20 mins to the center. There is Bonus market right across from the street, which came very handy. Highly recommend the place!

The sleeping pillows could have been better, as they were a bit thin

It is conveniently located near grocery stores, parks, a local church we visited, close to the highway, and not a long ride to Reykjavik. It was quite comfortable and accommodated all of us (4 adults). Washing facilities were great! We enjoyed the fact that we had a stove top and oven. The management was always helpful and prompt to reply to any questions we had. They were more than willing to help resolve any issues we shared with them.

Garbage sorting wasn't so clear in the manual, but there were signs in the building that helped. Besides our neighbors above allowing their child for three nights to run back and forth at 3 AM and knocking things down, there isn't really anything we could say we reallt disliked.

The apartment is located a few kilometers away from Reykjavik, it is an ideal base to explore the western part of Iceland. Our room (nr. 305) was spacious, clean, well-equipped and we had a fabulous view over the lake and the mountains. The bed was very comfortable. There is a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bakery and a restaurant within walking distance from the apartment (we could see them from our window). There is a washing machine and a dryer on each floor which we appreciated a lot. We haven't met our host in person but she provided us with plenty of information. Check in was easy, simply by using the code we got. We highly recommend this place to stay to other travellers!

We stayed 2 nights in Blue Mountain Apartments, in room 503 with big windows. Easy check in and check out. Apartment was big enough, with comfortable bed. Extra bed was also comfortable. Everything worked great. Parking in front apartmens, nearby is supermarket Bonus. It was very quiet stay, there was washing machine in the hall, but we heard no noise inside.

We had to prepare extra bed alone, we came late and tired, otherwise not a big problem. A message to future guests, clean your dishes very good! Do not leave dishes in state that you would not want to receive!!!

Spacious, great views, good facilities. Great shower/bathroom. Good instructions from owner. Good parking. Shops close by.

Cleanliness - stains on blinds and ceiling. Windows noisy even when closed, kitchen roll had been stuffed into edges to reduce noise/draughts. Beds ok, sofa bed not provided with sheet and duvet a bit small. TV remote batteries dead, requested new ones but took 2 days. No housekeeping/fresh towels provided during our 6 night stay.

Property was modern well equipped (dish washing liquid and towels provided, kitchen roll, salt, sugar, small quantity of tea and coffee bags) and very comfortable. The views over the mountains were fabulous it was lovely seeing the sun rise. Opposite was a Bonus supermarket and bakery.

Although the heating system was very good in that it heated quickly and there were plenty of radiators (you will not be cold staying here) I found it difficult to control. The radiators were hot during the night even though I’d turned them down to frost stat, as a consequence I didn’t sleep too well.

Amazing view. Opening the blinds and seeing the sun rise above the snow capped hills and surrounding vista was truly awe inspiring. My boys loved it and we started each day refreshed and good to go. Warm and cosy throughout. We did not know initially but the location was ideal for getting out and around Iceland as we wanted - but one morning when we wanted to go into the centre of Reykjavik it was easy to drive in.

The kitchen area and resources needs some extra thought I think. It would have been nice to have another wire rack in the oven and also to have a metal tray in order to use the facility better and make more food in the apartment as there are not so many restaurants locally but there is a supermarket over the road. I found some solutions but it was not easy. Also having a fridge with a small freezer section within it would also have helped with shopping as again we could not purchase any frozen goods.
