Comfy beds, VERY quiet room, comfortable temperature, friendly staff, and a nice lobby. The room darkening shades work well. Luggage storage is complimentary and easy to use. There's a bar and restaurant onsite.

The only problem I had is that it's kind of a long walk to downtown. I didn't have a car and couldn't get the bus app to work (that's Iceland's fault, not the hotel's) so it meant a bit of a haul to get to the sights.

Staff were great and helpful. 24h. Breakfast was ok, very basic but i can’t compare to other places in Iceland, so maybe it’s fine. Anyway, breakfast is a great option for this kind of trip. Location - 30 min from Center, same to BSI. Not too far, but not really pleasant if by foot in the rain and wind. So I’d say, value for money just don’t expect too much. Good that re.is considers Cabin as one of their pick-up drop-off locations, so it’s easy to arrange travel to the airport or some tour

Room was small for 3 people, nearly no place to store clothes. Kettle in the hall only, not in the room.

Cabin is a great hotel. This was our second time staying at this hotel. Situated on the outskirts of the centre, you get to walk through beautiful neighbourhoods and see artefacts like a piece of the Berlin Wall you just wouldn’t see if you stayed in the centre. The price is absolutely unbeatable for Reykjavik. If you are someone who is unfussy about hotels, this has everything you need. After all, if you’re coming to Reykjavik just for a hotel then you’re doing it wrong.

My only recommendation would be to have more plug sockets available in the rooms / near the TV. But it’s not a dealbreaker.

room was very clean and beds were comfortable. the bathroom suited its purpose and everything was clean when we arrived. check in was easy, simple key card entry system. Building was quiet and staff friendly and willing to help with any trip bookings and recommendations.

no safe in the room, very little floor space, no cupboard storage for cases or clothes. the location was a bit far but only 10 minutes or so to reykjavik centre by bus, this was fine once we got the hang of the bus system. as we stayed for only 3 nights this wasn't a big issue for us but if you are staying longer it might be better to look into bigger / closer accommodation.

Stuff at reception are exceptional people. Everyone we've met was super friendly, easy to communicate and very helpful. Lady made our check-in process after a long road to Iceland very smooth and pleasent. I'm addicted to tea and we were provided with cups and hot water any time it was needed. We've received useful hints about local places and in general enjoyed communication with stuff. Bed is cozy, there're two blankets. Room is very clean. Location is nice as you have an ocean view, there's a gas station and grocery nearby. Hotel provides free parking which is cool as I believe everyone travels on rented cars.

Mostly it's about the room size - it's tiny. BUT, you know what you pay for. It was stated in description, it's visible on photos and it was simply one of the cheapest offers on booking. Probably, a little renovation to shower would make sense.

The receptionists during the stay were very friendly. The room itself was small but comfortable which is the most important. Although the hotel is located a bit far from the city centre it is very convenient that the busses for tours/airport transfers pick up directly in front of the hotel! It is located close to the ocean to see the northern lights if you are lucky :)

If you wish to eat somewhere in the city centre, the hotel is about 20/30 min walk away. However a bus station is nearby.

The welcome at the check-in desk was nice. The staff there (on both days) were knowledgeable and very helpful. Really appreciate the good staff in this hotel in general. The room (triple) was not particularly new but it was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Rooms at the front have a nice harbour view. Everything worked perfectly in the room, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and functional. Lots of hot water quickly on tap and a large towel warmer in the room. A kettle was provided in the room I had, but no hair dryer. Breakfast was just fine - the selection was not large, but the food was of good quality. Except the orange juice (watery) and the coffee (not to my taste). The location was about 15 minutes out of town. There was a supermarket just a hundred metres down the road with a wide selection of groceries, and several restaurants nearby, although it is highly recommended to walk into town for eating. The free hotel WiFi for me was good, but strangely my wife had problems with her phone getting disconnected every couple of minutes. The hotel parking was convenient, and free.

I would love to have had a better coffee with the breakfast. This was to me the only negative with this hotel.

My view from the bedroom was fantastic looking over the water and the mountains. The beds i judged far too quickly as they were really comfortable. Breakfast was alright, nothing too special but there was a huge variety which was really good. The staff were great, they really helped me make the most of my trip, organising tours and just saying "go here, itll be good" which always helps.

The Wifi didnt connect all the way to my room which was quite irritating. And i wish i knew you could only chexk in after 3pm.

Very good location close to the heart of the city within a few minutes walk, very quiet area with some restaurants and cafes in the corner and with a supermarket about 3 minutes walk away. Many of the tour agencies offer a pick up right in front of the hotel or on the bus stop of line 12 which is about 10 minutes walk away. The staff are very welcoming and available to give you information about the island's attractions. Thank you and see you soon! :)

Hotel Cabin is great value for money if staying in the capital. Although basic, it is clean, very comfortable and has all you need for a short stay. The staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast and bar are convenient and reasonably priced.

The location is a bit outside the centre, but this is reflected in the price and the walk is not too far. There are also good bus options close by.
