Great room, we were given a 3 bed room which was quite big.

The room was freezing as their heaters are only on for 2 hours and if the card is inserted inside the room. We requested for 2 extra blankets which were given but not in good will. One of the reception ladies who did our check in was rude when speaking on the phone, however she was the one who upgraded us and allowed me to maintain the same room for the next reservation.

It was central and near an Aldi to buy bottled water, but also take away spots including one that would deliver to the hotel. Close to stops for various bus routes and a Dunne’s (which was good because I forgot to pack socks). Good water pressure. Nice Indian take away and Japanese restaurants close by. Ideal spot between the suburbs and city centre to be central but not in a touristy area devoid of resources (like markets, shops, groceries).

The radiator in the bathroom got extraordinarily hot and I hurt my hand a little getting my towel. Wish Luas went through Rathmines.

The room we stayed in was in relatively good condition and clean. We were impressed with the how quiet room 319 is. The hotel is in a very good location and would be worth the investment to upgrade the standard of finishes, not the prices. The parking arrangement is good considering how limited parking in the area is.

We observed that other rooms we looked at were not in very good condition. The beds, flooring and fixtures are quite old and in need of refurbishment. Also the hallways are quite worn and dated and need to be refreshed.

The room was clean, comfortable and well provided as you would expect. Wifi was free and reliable. Hotel access is reassuringly secure. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful with booking taxis etc. Although next to the main road there was no significant noise. It is the location that is the real winner. Rathmines is a vibrant and lively area but without the crowds and prices of central Dublin, but with many buses and the tram line not far away still easy access.

There was nothing on this trip that I didn't like

Very conveniently located right next to the bus stops and had Aldi's right next door, as well as other food options. The restaurant next door even had a small discount for eating there which was nice. About a 10/15 minute bus ride towards the downtown area. The bathrooms were a good size and the room was fine just for sleeping and getting ready. The staff was very nice and was very attentive with unlocking the main entrance late at night.

The beds were extremely small and the queen-sized beds were just two small twins pushed together. The carpets in our room were really stained and gross but the beds and bathroom were clean. Probably a little overpriced for what was offered but fairly nice overall.

The location is great for what I needed, plenty of local businesses deliver to it, but cutlery in the rooms (since on-site eating isn't available) would be appreciated.

The pillows are cheap, so bring your own. They are flatter than paper and 100% unsupportive so forget a good nights sleep. Had a horrid neck pain the following day, worsened by having to drive back to Kerry after a meeting, but in saying that, I'd just bring my own next time.

The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful. Rathmines street where the hotel was located was a nice street with many restaurants and cafes. The center was within walking distance and the street was very lively so the walk was enjoyable. I would stay here again if I go again.

The only bad thing I can say is that the shower is curtained. Therefore, the inside of the bathroom gets a little wet after the shower.

Everything was fine

I used the parking facility of the hotel, paying extra for it, which was not a problem as this was known in advance. What I found incovenient though, was the fact that I was given a key fob to the parking site which I had to return to the reception every time I used it. I had to get the fob from the reception desk to reach the car and then return it before driving away, then, once arriving back to the hotel, I had to get the fob once again in order to park the car and then return it to the reception desk. I believe this is at least ackward. I would expect that there would be fobs at a number matching the parking spaces, and that guests would return them together with their room key on check out.

Nice hotel with very, very friendly staff. Clean room with a city view from the window. Very comfortable beds. Heaters quickly warm up the room, and there is a good heated towel rail in the bathroom (trust me, this is important; in Dublin, you will need to dry wet things). The rooms are well soundproofed, making it very quiet, and you can’t hear anyone. There is coffee, tea, and a kettle in the room. Supermarkets and bus stops are near the hotel, providing good infrastructure. Tip: Don’t forget to take adapters for sockets if you have equipment with Euro connectors. In Ireland, the sockets are type G.

On the downside: you need to ask for a hairdryer at the reception, the toilet doesn’t flush very well, and there is no foot towel that can be used as a mat.

The whole warm atmosphere of the hotel, the staff were exceptional, especially "Adrian" so v v obledging, he was just outstanding, I have travelled all over the world Austraila, U.S, Africa, most of Eurrope & I have to say I have never, never met anyone quiet like him before, lucky you "Travellodge"♡

Everything was a 10, I was truly blown away.
