Location is fantastic. Perfect for Iveagh Garden concerts. Staff were excellent. Advised us to order food for delivery as serving had stopped when we got back at 10.30pm. Next street over has everything you need tho - supermarket, pubs, fast food outlets etc. Noise wasn't an issue at all for us. Rooms clean and comfortable. Competitively priced.

One very minor thing for some might be the decor. Room doors could do with an ungrade. Rooms were comfortable and clean, perfect for us who only slept there, but if you were staying for longer, you might want something more modern.

Fantastic location. We were attending a concert in The National Concert Hall-it was a 5min stroll to the venue. Also a 10 min walk to St. Stephen’s green, fantastic. Iveagh Gardens right beside the hotel-a lovely oasis in the middle of the city.

All was going great until we arrived back at the hotel after our concert. It was approximately 11pm. There is a nightclub associated with the hotel. The music and DJ were so loud, continued until 2.30am. No sleep until it stopped.

It was easy to reach all parts of the city from the hotel. All staff members I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and clean. The breakfasts were good with a wide choice of options.

Although the noise from the sports bar, which was directly below my room, didn't prevent me from sleeping, the room telephone ringing shortly after 3:00am did disturb me and I was unable to get back to sleep! Regarding the breakfasts - although there was a notice informing guests as to which items were gluten free, there seemed to be little attention given to the possibility of cross contamination.

Great hotel in historic building at the historic location, walking distance (15-20 min) to key sights (St. Patrick Cathedral etc), nice breakfast, spacious rooms. Parking on Sundays is FREE (!), while for other days the hotel staff provides guidance to other parking stations with discounted price. Traditional Irish breakfast has plenty of choice, including black pudding and sausages, good coffee and tea. The staff is very friendly.

The elevator is quite small, bath shower is tiny, and as expected there is no air conditioning in the rooms. We had open windows the whole night, but it was very noisy since the hotel restaurant with a terrace in the street was working till midnight. Also, the beds have very warm blankets which is too hot for summer nights. It may be better to provide an additional bedsheet as an alternative to the blanket.

Lovely hotel and really enjoyed my stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds, great breakfast, and lovely food in the 1900 restaurant. Felt very safe staying there as a solo traveller, and it is perfectly located for access to the centre of Dublin. It is within walking distance to various local places of interest and tourist attractions. Super close to the tram and bus stops (ie. 16 to and from Dublin Airport.) Also, I highly recommend taking a walk around Iveagh Gardens, which is less than 2 minutes walk away, just behind the hotel. Lovely and peaceful place to sit on a warm, sunny day.

Not really a "didn't like" as no real complaints, but others might appreciate the info. It's just worth noting that it can be a bit noisy. My room was directly above the bar, and there's also a nightclub attached to the hotel, which I didn't realise until after I booked. (My own error - it does mention this in the facilities description) However, the windows were double glazed, and ear plugs were provided in the room. As someone who is particularly sensitive to noise, I can say it didn't bother me much at all, and I didn't need to use the ear plugs. One night, I kept the windows open for most of it as I was really enjoying the music.

Booked as a family of four as my partner and teen were going to a concert. Me and the younger child enjoyed the concert from the comfort of our room as could hear it thats how close we were. Rooms were clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. No complaints. If you see reviews complaining of noise ignore them because you are warned by hotel that its in a busy place with music and pubs around the area. Was ideal for us at the time but would go for a relaxing family holiday for long if you didnt want to hear noise.

The heat! But cant blame hotel, the supplied a fan and all but the weather was out to get us 🤣🤣

This is a really pretty hotel. Our room was big and very clean, and the ensuite was also quite spacious. Good shower, good pressure. Smart TV in the room if you fancy a quiet night in. Comfy bed too. Breakfast was basic but tasty! Very central position, but be wary that the hotel is basically in front of Coppers and Diceys, so expect some noise.

The thermostat in our room was locked. We called reception and we were advised that they were experiencing a technical problem and to use the fan provided in the wardrobe. As it was one of the hottest/muggiest nights of the year, the fan wasn't really cutting it.

The location was great, as the hotel is about 15-minutes away from Trinity College if you decide to take a walk and visit the college grounds. Plus, the hotel is close to numerous cafes, restaurants, a large park and the Temple Bar part of the city, which is a vibrant place full of pubs, bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel also used to be the residence of George Bernard Shaw, which would be appreciated by literature lovers. Last but not least, the staff were welcoming and friendly.

The only downside was the lack of proper air circulation in the two rooms we occupied.

Excellent connectivity to the Airport and other modes of transport like Tram/Taxis/Buses - great for quickly exploring the city. The room was clean and well stocked, comfortable sleep when the night club below is not buzzing, thankfully it was mid-week and we didn't have the noisy experiences other have noted. The staff were courteous and helpful most of the time. There is an excellent park right behind the property for morning walks, plenty of cafes and restaurants around. Didn't have any food at the hotel.

A hand shower attachment in the shower set would be great for helping bathe kids. he furnishings in the lobby are worn out - please replace that couch!

The hotel itself is lovely. Whilst we don’t eat there I can’t comment on bar or restaurant, the room was big and had everything we needed. Bed very comfortable! Bathroom was clean and again all toiletries towels supplied.

At a VERY high Dublin rate we paid, upon check in the girl tells us ‘room was ready’ we were happy about this but then she asked for an EXTRA €15 to check in before the 4pm. I mean we already paid handsomely for the room why charge extra especially when the room was sitting ready for us! I feel that’s a bit extortionate.
