Was very reasonably priced compared to other Dublin City hotels. Perfect location for us visiting our son just starting at Trinity College. Half way between the city centre and his student accommodation in Daltry. A short direct walk south to meet him down rathmines Road which had a nice neighbourhood feel and good bars/ restaurants. Another short walk north to st Stephen’s Green and Grafton street for shopping and fancy restaurants. Will definitely use this hotel as our base when visiting our son while he’s at uni.
I overheat at night and although the air conditioning was very good in the room, the windows don’t open, so I didn’t sleep well. That’s just me though, as my husband found the room temperature ok.

Room was very modern, I loved it. The staff had to have been the friendliest I’ve ever seen at a hotel which I appreciated. And the breakfast was really good as well. I’m gonna include some pictures of the hotel in this review cos I really couldn’t find anything on this property other than prototype pictures when I first booked so was a bit wary, but was glad that I stuck with my booking. Worth a visit!

Location was perfect for us. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.
The only thing we did not like was that the room was too warm and not being able to open a window to combat this.

The hotel was further from the city centre than I expected but this was a bonus as it was so quiet and comfortable. The staff were great and the rooms were well stocked and what you had forgotten, the staff were able to get for you. We walked a lot and caught the bus when necessary. Public transport was good. Breakfast was fantastic!
We were there for three nights. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We ate at the hotel on the Thursday and that was great. We had planned to eat out on the other two nights which was just as well as the hotel bar/restaurant was packed and very noisy and I couldn't have eaten there. However my grandson said it was just people having a good time!

Location was great! Right at the river and only about 20 min walk into town. Also very cool design and super modern. The room was also equipped with the most amazing smelling soap, shampoo and shower gel- which was a plus. In general very clean, cool hotel in great location.
There were only a few points that I think could be improved. 1) I arrived early and had to pay 20 Euro extra for an early check in. I don‘t see why I had to be charged for it as the room was empty. 2) The breakfast was ok, but not great. 3) There was no „cosy“ lighting in the room. Unfortunately only the main lights which are super bright and not quite what I would want in the evening or the early morning.

This was my second stay in the NYX, my first stay was when it had just opened in a couple of months and they went above and beyond by decorating my room for my birthday. This time around it was just okay, cleanliness of the room is somewhat not the same standard anymore, the rooms are a bit dusty and both the robes I had in my room and old blood stains which was extremely shocking and a bit disappointing! The food at the restaurant isn’t great either, very limited menu also, I decided to give the food a second chance still a let down
My robes both had old blood stains on them and nothing was followed up after just a “oops sorry and given another one” which was a complete let down

It was very clean, comfortable beds. Good size room. I liked the neighbourhood. A bit far from the city centre, but easy to get there with public transport.
The staff on arrival day was not very accommodating. I originally booked a double room for 1 person, but added my friend a few weeks before arrival. We had to pay around 120€ for her to join me in my double room for 3 nights, no breakfast included. And when we arrived, the double bed only had one duvet so I asked to get another, which the staff at the front desk said they did not have. And that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I don’t know if she just didn’t wanna help? The next day I asked the housekeeping that came to our room for an extra duvet and he got us one, no problem.

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to lots of pubs and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a lovely view of the canal.
The cleanliness was ok, but definitely not the best. We put a sign on our door one day to request a clean and it was never done. They also didn't replace the coffee each time, but reception happily provided us some when we went down and asked. The bar downstairs also felt like they didn't prioritise guests of the hotel and there was a couple of times we were unable to be served due to there being too many people there for the bottomless brunch. The rooms were not very sound proof either and we were woken up a few times by noisy neighbours.

The hotel was central to everything, bars, restaurants, tram, buses etc. Sits next to canal, lovely walk along. Not too far from Dublin Airport, 30/40 mins and taxi wasn't too expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, great shower, bathrobe, slippers provided. Breakfast was a buffet, help yourself with great selection hot and cold food.. I would recommend this hotel and would come back here to stay.
This is just my preference but the pillows on bed were a bit hard for me, I prefer softer but bed was comfy. Also curtains weren't black out so you got light shining in in morning.

Location was great, close to the Luas and bus stops. You could walk to several pubs and eateries, lovely by the canal. Liked the variety of the buffet. The room was exactly like the photos, plenty of room to stay and have a coffee down stairs, room was for sleeping.
I wasn't a huge fam of all the women's paintings everywhere! Although some where lovely there is also such lovely areas not far that could have been hightlighted instead. The barge, the canal, the gorgeous area of St stephens green , but that is just my opinion. The breakfast was very confusing, one day a buffet the next day it wasn't. No singage that we saw about breakfast hours, menu, that you could have an omelette made if you wanted instead of the scrambled eggs.
