I had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine’s Day at the Iveagh Garden Hotel, where my partner and I were joined by close friends for a surprise engagement party. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was delicious, with a variety of dishes that catered to everyone’s tastes, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the evening. What truly stood out, however, was the outstanding level of customer service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of the evening was perfect. The team was incredibly supportive and accommodating, assisting me in planning the proposal and helping to create a seamless and unforgettable moment. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire process stress-free and truly special. The proposal itself was flawless, thanks in large part to the staff’s dedication and creativity. They helped set the scene perfectly, ensuring that everything was in place to make the moment magical. My partner was completely surprised, and the joy and excitement shared by our friends made the evening even more memorable. The 5-star customer service at the Iveagh Garden Hotel truly elevated the experience. From the thoughtful assistance in planning to the genuine care shown throughout the evening, the staff made us feel valued and celebrated. It was a night we will cherish forever, and I 100% recommend the Iveagh Garden Hotel to anyone looking to create a truly special occasion.

Could not fault the hotel itself. Beautifully festive and exceptionally clean. Staff were very capable and friendly.

On checking out I needed to remain at the property for a few hours. I purchased drinks and sat down on a couch. The concierge kept eyeballing me in a really unfriendly manner as if he was wondering what I was doing there alone. It made me so uncomfortable I left for the train station earlier than planned. Left a very sour note after a lovely stay and evening in Dublin.

The staff in the Iveagh Garden hotel are lovely and so helpful. My room was hot and stuffy and the lady in charge of cleaning the rooms switched off the heating which was on in my room! She then helped to secure/put in place the extractor tube from the air conditioning unit out of the slightly open window. I was so grateful to her. Elle’s bar and bistro is fantastic. The food is of a very high quality and there is a great selection from which to choose. All the staff in the restaurant are friendly and helpful.

My room was stuffy and warm. There is no in-built air conditioning. I had a stand-alone air condidioning unit which did cool down the room so that was good. The hotel lifts are also warm. I understand that during the summer this is a problem for the hotel as it was probably built before air conditioning was installed. I have stayed in this hotel in December and it was lovely to see an open fire in the reception area. So the hotel is fine in cooler months but on the warm side in the summer.

The rooms were very nice, updated and clean. Breakfast was delicious.

Getting to our room was difficult and though we asked for rooms that were accessed by an elevator our rooms were in the basement in the building nextdoor and required us to go down several steps which was difficult for some of us. There was a lot of street noise which made it hard to sleep and it is located in an area that is a good walk from the places we wanted to visit. We felt the hotel was overpriced. The check in staff was confused by our reservation and seemed to fumble as to which rooms we should be in so the process to check in was longer than it should have been.

The room was stunning. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff in the hotel were very accommodating and lovely to deal with. We were greeted at reception with lovely smiles and a warm welcome.

Breakfast was a little disappointing we came down 40 minutes before breakfast ended and the staff were reluctant to put out any fresh food or beverages, we had to continuously ask for food and beverages even though it was a continental breakfast. With 20 minutes left of breakfast the staff said we had to finish quick as they were setting up for an event after. It just felt very rushed and unwelcoming.

Breakfast was 5 star. Fresh fruits and the hot buffet as good as what you'd get at any top hotel.

I found the pod bedroom very warm with the underfloor heating but I told reception and they turned it off

I thought the location was ideal in terms of easy access to Stephen’s Green & Grafton Street area. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. My pod room was adequate but I found the bed uncomfortable - like sleeping on a plank. I had to sleep on the duvet to feel comfortable. If I book a room again, it would have to be at the back of the property as some guests complained about noise from the night club across the road.

It would have been helpful if I had been escorted to my room on the first night. I had a very long journey and was not sure how the to access the room or operate the lighting when I entered.

Amazing reception staff, really lovely and welcoming. Breakfast staff were also incredible as were bar staff- truly couldn't do enough to help me. Very quick service and just super down to earth lovely humans. Hotel itself was in a lovely location, great value for money and a 10 mins walk from Grafton street/ 2 mins walk from Iveagh Gardens (I was there for a concert). Drinks at the bar were fab and breakfast was lovely. I was in a pod room which was spacious enough and had most things I needed.

Lights above the bed weren't working. Tile floor throughout wasn't pleasant to walk on barefoot. The mattress was quite hard and toilet roll (though sustainable) felt quite rough/thin. I did miss having a tea and coffee facility in the room too. Wouldn't want to stay for more than a night as somewhere to sleep.
