Excellent Service & Thoughtful Hospitality I had a wonderful experience at Kilronan House. I wasn’t originally planning to be in Dublin and tried to cancel my booking, but received a message from Booking.com saying it wasn’t possible. However, upon arriving at the hotel, the staff informed me that they had found someone else to take the room and, as a result, I would not be charged. This was incredibly generous and accommodating. Since I ended up needing accommodation after all, they kindly offered me a better room at the same rate. I really appreciated how they handled the situation—despite the slight mix-up in communication, they were welcoming, flexible, and professional. Breakfast was also lovely, and the overall atmosphere of the house was warm and inviting. Thank you to the team at Kilronan House for making my unexpected stay such a pleasant one!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Dublin. The room was beautiful—small, but very well designed and efficiently organized. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a rich variety of options to suit every taste, and it was served in a stunning, elegant dining room that made the experience even more enjoyable. In the room, we appreciated the Nespresso machine, with two coffee capsules provided daily—a really nice touch. The location is perfect: very quiet, yet just a short walk from major attractions and close to bus stops for easy transport around the city. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, which made our stay even more comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin!

Breakfast was well prepared and plenty of as we usually skipped lunch in favor of sightseeing. Granola was particularly yummy.

Public area for relaxing was smaller than expected. Not really room to sit and chat with other guests. All nicely decorated, however. We had a room on the second floor which meant 60 or so stairs! We did them, but will request a room on ground or first floor next time! There was also internet trouble on our floor. They tried to fix, but it was definitely out for an evening—tough on news junkies. The manager went above and beyond as l had a zoom interview scheduled and he gave me his hot spot!!

The staff was so welcoming from the servers at the deluxe breakfast to the staff at the front desk. Such fantastic hosts. If we sat down in the parlor, a host would appear with a beautiful pot of tea and a plate of chocolate digestive biscuits. They would start a fire in the fireplace. Then maybe on another occasion, an Irish coffee would be offered to us. The best Irish coffee I have ever tasted! We like to walk and everything was within walking distance. You must check out the beautiful authentic music at the Cobblestone bar. It is about a 40 minute walk or 18 minute taxi. Lovely pints of well poured Guinness. The Camden Rotisserie has very nice chicken and salads and wings at a reasonable price. (8 minute walk) If you go to the Guinness tour then you should drop in to Harkin's Bar. It is a 3 minute walk from the Guinness tour. The best Guinness I had in Dublin. Also, their chicken sandwiches are delicious!!

We loved everything about Kilronan House! We arrived late in the evening and Ennis carried our bags up the stairs for us! We were upgraded to the James Joyce Suite which was very large with huge windows which we could open to enjoy Dublin's weather. The beds were so comfortable and the room had everything we needed! We could walk to everything we wanted to visit, tours, restaurants, Temple Bar, Guinness and Jameson Tours, St. Patrick's Cathedral and so much more. Romi the Manager was so helpful with helping us with figuring out bus schedule etc. The daily breakfast was best part of our stay in the very quaint dining room. We will be back! Thank you Kilronan House!!

We have no complaints on anything!

The staff at Kilronan House was very professional and accommodating. Our room was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with many options. Complimentary Irish coffee was a delightful surprise in the lounge after a day of sightseeing. The neighborhood was quiet, near a tram stop. St. Stephen's Green was a shortish walk away, as well as Grafton Street shopping district.

It wasn't a problem for us, but it you have difficulty climbing stairs, be mindful that there is no lift. The very friendly staff will offer to bring your bags to and from your room if needed or desired.

The hotel was perfect for a city break . There is a Lucas stop close by with trams going to central Dublin, it is about half an hours walk to Grafton Street and the Temple Bar area. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice I particularly liked the fresh fruit salad and yogurt. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bed and tea and coffee making facilities. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel before checkin and after checkout. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

We liked everything about the hotel, it’s not a grand hotel with spas and bars but ideal for the short break we wanted and I would like thank all the staff for making our stay enjoyable.

The room was great. The bed was very comfortable with excellent pillows! Breakfast was lovely with attentive and friendly staff!

I'll start with this, when I checked in the staff informed me about this, my room was on the ground floor next to the kitchen which was a little noisy in the morning, not very noisy and would most likely only disturb light sleepers. As I'm an early riser this didn't bother me however if you are a light sleeper and like to sleep in and there's availability, choose a room on an upper floor.

Good breakfast selections. No scones, however, which would have been nice. Also lattes and cappuccinos would have been appreciated. There is a lovely lounge area. We appreciated the beautiful, larger WB Yeats room. Location for walking to St Stephen’s Green, Grafton St etc was fairly close for walking but seemed far after a full day of sightseeing with dinner out.

Kleenex tissues should be provided in the rooms. Also hair conditioner; there was only shampoo. A shelf in the bathroom would be welcome, on which to put toiletries. Drawers below the sink were provided but the bathroom was a little cramped. Shower was good.

As a former General manager of leading 5* hotel in Ireland and having worked internationally in hospitality on 4 continents, I enjoyed my stay at Kilronan House with my wife immensely. Staff particularly the duty manager on our arrival and who supervised breakfast service represented Irish hospitality at its best. Attention to detail in explaining room and hotel facilities exhibited attention to detail and knowledge of the area. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay Breakfast served in terms of quality presentation and scope of menu could compete with my experience of 5* hospitality at highest level. There was nothing to dislike. Room was clean and spacious with a variety of facilities, good quality guest amenities, bed linen, towels etc. Large king size and single beds were extremely comfortable. Only negative I can think of..., was that I wish I had the foresight to make reservation for longer period.
