We loved this gem of a guesthouse. The staff was delightful and kind. The rooms were all different—no generic corporate hotel here—and had a ton of character and charm. Our room even had a skylight that opened! The beds were incredibly comfy and ample. Ceilings were high. The room was comfortable, bathroom was plenty big and the location was unbeatable. The price was also a steal. Oh and the breakfast was FABULOUS. A 10/10 that far exceeded expectations.

We had three big suitcases and there is no elevator, but the manager hopped up and carried two of them up the (not long) staircase and it was absolutely fine. No complaints about anything!

Excellent Service & Thoughtful Hospitality I had a wonderful experience at Kilronan House. I wasn’t originally planning to be in Dublin and tried to cancel my booking, but received a message from Booking.com saying it wasn’t possible. However, upon arriving at the hotel, the staff informed me that they had found someone else to take the room and, as a result, I would not be charged. This was incredibly generous and accommodating. Since I ended up needing accommodation after all, they kindly offered me a better room at the same rate. I really appreciated how they handled the situation—despite the slight mix-up in communication, they were welcoming, flexible, and professional. Breakfast was also lovely, and the overall atmosphere of the house was warm and inviting. Thank you to the team at Kilronan House for making my unexpected stay such a pleasant one!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Dublin. The room was beautiful—small, but very well designed and efficiently organized. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a rich variety of options to suit every taste, and it was served in a stunning, elegant dining room that made the experience even more enjoyable. In the room, we appreciated the Nespresso machine, with two coffee capsules provided daily—a really nice touch. The location is perfect: very quiet, yet just a short walk from major attractions and close to bus stops for easy transport around the city. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, which made our stay even more comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin!

Breakfast was well prepared and plenty of as we usually skipped lunch in favor of sightseeing. Granola was particularly yummy.

Public area for relaxing was smaller than expected. Not really room to sit and chat with other guests. All nicely decorated, however. We had a room on the second floor which meant 60 or so stairs! We did them, but will request a room on ground or first floor next time! There was also internet trouble on our floor. They tried to fix, but it was definitely out for an evening—tough on news junkies. The manager went above and beyond as l had a zoom interview scheduled and he gave me his hot spot!!

Very quaint and cozy. A step back in time. Everything was quite clean and the small en-suite bathroom was very modern and impeccable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in while in Ireland. The breakfast was good and the location of Kilronan house was excellent. Quiet neighborhood but an easy walk from everywhere you want to visit in Dublin.

Older buildings just don’t have a lift. Kilronan house was the last day of a two week tour so our luggage was quite heavy by then. Staff was gracious enough to help so I have no complaints. Just want to be clear that there is no lift so pack light!

Kilronan House is lovely, a beautiful building with really nice, well looked after rooms. The hotel has many period features and is located in an area that is an interesting mix of Georgian terraces and shiny, modern business head offices. It's a 10 minute walk to Grafton Street if you fancy a spot of shopping or another 5 minutes wandering to Temple Bar for a pint or two of Guinness. It's a deceptively large hotel, 35 rooms, breakfast looked a little chaotic but it was very well cooked, tasty and there were some very nice options, like porridge and omelettes. Dublin is great, a few too many Americans but overall it's definitely worth a visit, the museums and galleries are definitely worth seeking out. Kilronan is just round the corner from the green tram route, €2 to anywhere in the city centre, gets busy at pub closing time though. The parks are close by, I definitely recommend a stroll though both of them, on your way into town. The information folder in the room was very detailed, chemist, doctor, dentist etc and some recommendations of where to visit. The staff were welcoming and attentive.

Parking. Do not park at the hotel, as stated before it has 35 rooms and only 5 parking spaces......for very small cars. Use the nearby Q-Park and book online in advance, €14 for 24 hours is not bad for secure, city centre parking. It's only a gentle 10 minute walk or a 2 minute tram ride to the hotel. Taxis are EVERYWHERE too. I think in all honesty that the hotel shouldn't really advertise that it has "parking" because it is very limited and was causing the manager far too much stress explaining to all his early arrivals.

The staff was so welcoming from the servers at the deluxe breakfast to the staff at the front desk. Such fantastic hosts. If we sat down in the parlor, a host would appear with a beautiful pot of tea and a plate of chocolate digestive biscuits. They would start a fire in the fireplace. Then maybe on another occasion, an Irish coffee would be offered to us. The best Irish coffee I have ever tasted! We like to walk and everything was within walking distance. You must check out the beautiful authentic music at the Cobblestone bar. It is about a 40 minute walk or 18 minute taxi. Lovely pints of well poured Guinness. The Camden Rotisserie has very nice chicken and salads and wings at a reasonable price. (8 minute walk) If you go to the Guinness tour then you should drop in to Harkin's Bar. It is a 3 minute walk from the Guinness tour. The best Guinness I had in Dublin. Also, their chicken sandwiches are delicious!!

It was all very nice.

We loved everything about Kilronan House! We arrived late in the evening and Ennis carried our bags up the stairs for us! We were upgraded to the James Joyce Suite which was very large with huge windows which we could open to enjoy Dublin's weather. The beds were so comfortable and the room had everything we needed! We could walk to everything we wanted to visit, tours, restaurants, Temple Bar, Guinness and Jameson Tours, St. Patrick's Cathedral and so much more. Romi the Manager was so helpful with helping us with figuring out bus schedule etc. The daily breakfast was best part of our stay in the very quaint dining room. We will be back! Thank you Kilronan House!!

We have no complaints on anything!

The staff at Kilronan House was very professional and accommodating. Our room was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with many options. Complimentary Irish coffee was a delightful surprise in the lounge after a day of sightseeing. The neighborhood was quiet, near a tram stop. St. Stephen's Green was a shortish walk away, as well as Grafton Street shopping district.

It wasn't a problem for us, but it you have difficulty climbing stairs, be mindful that there is no lift. The very friendly staff will offer to bring your bags to and from your room if needed or desired.

The hotel was perfect for a city break . There is a Lucas stop close by with trams going to central Dublin, it is about half an hours walk to Grafton Street and the Temple Bar area. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice I particularly liked the fresh fruit salad and yogurt. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bed and tea and coffee making facilities. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel before checkin and after checkout. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

We liked everything about the hotel, it’s not a grand hotel with spas and bars but ideal for the short break we wanted and I would like thank all the staff for making our stay enjoyable.
