The room was really lovely and a good size. The TV was nice and big. Comfortable bed and I found the pillows perfect although my hubby found 1 pillow too low and 2 too high. Having said that, some men are more difficult than others😁 Having not been to Manchester before, I did not realise how far out of town Salford Quays is to Manchester city. The location is lovely and good for activities in Salford Quays. Close to Old Trafford which we stumbled upon.

I can't say I disliked anything. The room was spacious and comfortable. If there is anything I have to comment on, is that the location if far out of Manchester city. Having not been in Manchester before, I was not sure how far out of town it is.

Location excellent for what was required. Went for a game and as soon as you hit the reception, you're soaking up the atmosphere. It's a walk but it's a great walk which goes in no time. Less than a mile and every step is exciting. Co-op next door so upto you but the first lot of burger vans over the bridge are cheaper than the ones nearer the stadium. Knowledge is power.

Checking in. The lady on reception was wonderful but it's a dilemma that isn't easily resolved. Even with eta from all guests, plans seldom manifest. People from far and wide descending at the same time is not to be helped but help for the lone receptionist should be allowed. The day before match day should have 2 rostered receptionists and a break cover who can do the job. Delegation is key at predicted times. Would show the hotel as more professional. There were people still queuing in the same queue as me after I'd been dealt with, changed and come back down to reception. With arrival times of customers arriving indiscriminately from all around these isles and further, you just want to be dealt with ASAP. Deal with this issue and you'll have no issue.

Brilliant location for travelling into the city centre, only 10mins in a taxi 👍🏻 Location is ideal for a leisurely walk around the quays ☺️ Stayed here 7yrs ago and really don’t remember there being a bar there then, so if this is only recent, it’s a very welcome addition 👏🏻

On the online ‘booking-in’ form where it asks for any ‘specific requirements’, I requested additional pillows in the room which never arrived!! Plus, I provided my car info but this info did not transfer over to the hotel’s computer system when we arrived, so I had to complete another form!! By completing the ‘booking-in’ process online it’s supposed to avoid having to complete this paperwork!!

Convenient location of the hotel, free parking. Good view from the window overlooking one of the many canals of the city, geese and swans.

There is no flexible shower in the bathrooms. The shower head is on top, which is inconvenient. The sink has two taps located too close to the edge, which is simply inconvenient. It is much more convenient when there is one tap with a mixer where you can adjust the water temperature, rather than two separate taps, one with scalding hot water and the second tap with cold water. This is the first time I have encountered such a solution in hotels.

Have stayed at the Copthorne before and it is a very comfortable hotel , very well located in Salford Quays. The staff were very friendly, check in was dead easy , and we had the breakfast on our first morning which was excellent, very substantial and the chap running the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful.

There was a raised tile "lip" on the doorway from the bathroom into the main room and both myself and my partner managed to stub our toes several times coming out of there. I'm assuming it was to stop water going into the bedroom. Also no air conditioning and the TV channels were very random!!.

Beautiful hotel in very close proximity to Old Trafford and beautiful bars and restaurants around the Quays. Also very close to the Coronation Street set. We had breakfast included at the hotel and there was a large variety of full english breakfast options, yoghurts & fruit, muffins and pastries, toast, tea, coffee & juices. The room had plenty of space, a nice bathroom with a shower, a TV, a large dressing table area and a beautiful view of the Quays. On our second day we took the metro which was very cheap into the city centre. Overall a great trip!

This hotel was in a great location, very close to Exchange Quay tram stop for going into the city centre or if you wanted a stroll along the Quays to Old Trafford or Media City it was also well placed. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking on site was ideal for us. We didn't eat breakfast there but others said it was delicious!

It would be fair to say that the style of decor in the room was a bit dated, especially the bathroom. ( Not tatty, just old fashioned) This didn't really bother us as it was spacious and clean but if you are into your 'boutique look' rooms this probably isn't the hotel for you.

Close to Old Trafford

Excellent location very close to the shops bars and restaurants around Salford Quays and Media City, and Old Trafford Stadium a short walk away. We were lucky to get a room overlooking the canal - away from the busy road at the front so very quiet. Although overdue redecoration, the room was spacious, well designed and very comfortable with a hot, powerful shower and comfy bed. The staff in all departments were friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast but had a very good evening meal in the bar. The hotel and area exceeded our expectations and we will certainly return.

There was noise from other guests’ doors and a few coming back in the early hours a bit worse for wear on the Saturday night but there were two home football matches on. The Sunday night was very quiet. This would not put us off returning.

Very welcoming staff as soon as you walk in through the door, very helpful and lovely. The room was immaculate and exceeded my expectations when I walked in. Pretty good coffee in the room too! The drinks from the bar are reasonably priced, the staff there are also great and had a nice little conversation with the gentleman who served us too. Not too far from the city centre, in walking distance (about 15 minutes) to Old Trafford and about 10 to the music venue (which is why we stayed there). Everything was brilliant and will be booking again in the future!:)
