Convenient location of the hotel, free parking. Good view from the window overlooking one of the many canals of the city, geese and swans.

There is no flexible shower in the bathrooms. The shower head is on top, which is inconvenient. The sink has two taps located too close to the edge, which is simply inconvenient. It is much more convenient when there is one tap with a mixer where you can adjust the water temperature, rather than two separate taps, one with scalding hot water and the second tap with cold water. This is the first time I have encountered such a solution in hotels.

Have stayed at the Copthorne before and it is a very comfortable hotel , very well located in Salford Quays. The staff were very friendly, check in was dead easy , and we had the breakfast on our first morning which was excellent, very substantial and the chap running the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful.

There was a raised tile "lip" on the doorway from the bathroom into the main room and both myself and my partner managed to stub our toes several times coming out of there. I'm assuming it was to stop water going into the bedroom. Also no air conditioning and the TV channels were very random!!.

Close to Old Trafford

This hotel was in a great location, very close to Exchange Quay tram stop for going into the city centre or if you wanted a stroll along the Quays to Old Trafford or Media City it was also well placed. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking on site was ideal for us. We didn't eat breakfast there but others said it was delicious!

It would be fair to say that the style of decor in the room was a bit dated, especially the bathroom. ( Not tatty, just old fashioned) This didn't really bother us as it was spacious and clean but if you are into your 'boutique look' rooms this probably isn't the hotel for you.

Very welcoming staff as soon as you walk in through the door, very helpful and lovely. The room was immaculate and exceeded my expectations when I walked in. Pretty good coffee in the room too! The drinks from the bar are reasonably priced, the staff there are also great and had a nice little conversation with the gentleman who served us too. Not too far from the city centre, in walking distance (about 15 minutes) to Old Trafford and about 10 to the music venue (which is why we stayed there). Everything was brilliant and will be booking again in the future!:)

Excellent location very close to the shops bars and restaurants around Salford Quays and Media City, and Old Trafford Stadium a short walk away. We were lucky to get a room overlooking the canal - away from the busy road at the front so very quiet. Although overdue redecoration, the room was spacious, well designed and very comfortable with a hot, powerful shower and comfy bed. The staff in all departments were friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast but had a very good evening meal in the bar. The hotel and area exceeded our expectations and we will certainly return.

There was noise from other guests’ doors and a few coming back in the early hours a bit worse for wear on the Saturday night but there were two home football matches on. The Sunday night was very quiet. This would not put us off returning.

The bed was very comfortable like being at home, so we both got a good nights sleep. Bath shower was good as well, good pressure and even temperature, no upping and downing when other people in the hotel turn on a tap or flush the loo. The breakfast was excellent, great selection and you could have as much as you could eat. The view out onto the quay and waterside from the dinijg room is excellent. Found it relaxing.

We stayed in room 436, it seemed quite noisy. Think there was a function going on Friday night with a really loud sound system. Fortunately, we always carry earplugs for such eventualities. Cooking smells were very strong in the corridor to our room but to be fair we couldnt smell anything inside our room.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Close to trams and other transport to get to centre of Manchester. Walking distance of restaurants and a shopping centre. The room was cosy, and had a lovely view of the docks from the room. Variety of facilities, such as a kettle, iron and hairdryer, accessible.

It is true that the room is a bit outdated, but did not affect our stay. Thin walls, rather nosy, neighbours from across and beside the room can be heard, especially using the bathroom. TV was temperamental, remote did not have a strong connection to engage with the TV. No A/C, so had to turn off the radiator as it does get warm overtime and reduce room temperature.

Staff were all lovely. The room was very clean and had a bath as well as a shower. We were able to drop the car off in the car park earlier than our check in time. Drink voucher for the bar was very welcome and there was water and sprite in the fridge in the room together with tea and coffee. The breakfast room overlooked the dock and was very pleasant and the breakfast selection was very good. The location is great for the tram (just across the road) which gives access to everywhere in Manchester, and also for Media City.

Just a small gripe, but the room was a little dated.

We have stayed here on several occasions and always have a lovely stay. The location is perfect for our needs and it is easy to find. The free parking is a huge bonus for us. The rooms have everything you need and more and the beds are very comfortable in every room we’ve stayed in. The breakfast choice is plentiful and of good quality and we always enjoy this part of our stay. The staff are attentive and helpful especially during our most recent visit where the lady helping at breakfast was so kind and friendly. It is outstanding value for money and we will definitely be back again.

Some of the standard rooms we’ve stayed in are a little dated and could do with an update here and there possibly.
