I was lucky to spent three nights in the Piccola Vela hotel in the beginning of May. It was an expierence of a lifetime :) Perfect combination of luxury and guests friendly staff. Every single person was super nice and genuinely ready to make sure each guest is comfortable. They're also multilingual ( one of the front desk clerks was even speaking Polish). Two pools, two gardens, jacuzzi on the rooftop - make sure to reserve some time to enjoy the attractions provided by the hotel itself. Breakfast by the pool is marvellous and the best meals I had in Desenzano were the ones at the hotel (lunches and a delicious dinner at the Capovento restaurant). As for the location: walking distance to the port area, yet much quieter and calmer. You can enjoy birds singing in the gardens, instead of the hens- and stag-dos in the town center ;) My stay at the Piccola Vela was an 11 out of 10 experience, highly recommended 👌

Beautiful hotel, tasteful decor, great amenities! The staff made us feel very welcome, we never felt rushed and felt like VIPs. They paid attention to our needs, and were going the extra mile also for our 4yearold daughter. Breakfast was a highlight, large buffet + a la carte items. Delicious and varied! Heated pool and heated rooftop jacuzzi were perfect considering the ‘bad’ weather we had. The lake is literally across the street and the small city center is well within walking distance, less than 10min away. We loved the place and it definitely was the highlight of our short Italian getaway!

Only small little thing to note is that our family room seemed very humid. But we didn’t really use the airco which of course would have helped.

Wow! This hotel is amazing! All the staff are fabulous and make you feel so welcome and at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The service is outstanding, they remember what food and drink you like for breakfast, deliver drinks and snacks to the hot tub on the roof and recommend wonderful restaurants and days out. We have stayed in many hotels and this one is the best! Family friendly, hot tub and heated outdoor pool that was great to use in February. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and great location for walking into town and exploring Lake Garda. Highly recommend it and we will be back! Thank you all so much for a fantastic stay!

Wow, what a find! Firstly, the hotel is in a great location. It’s around a 15 min walk to the train station and a nice 10 min walk along the lake to the town. The hotel itself is beautifully presented and has all the facilities you need. The rooftop terrace, complete with Jacuzzi, is perfect on a clear, sunny day. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, the staff are all amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all so friendly and helpful. We will be recommending this hotel to all our friends and family.

The only negative we have for this hotel is that our room was quite noisy when adjoining rooms were using the bathroom. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever!

Really good vibe, very classy looking hotel. Location was very good and probably one of the best we have stayed in for the price. Staff were really nice and helpful, service was the best we have seen in a while. The rooftop jacuzzi had a good booking system where you book it for your room for an hour a day. They also have 2 outdoor pools one of which is heated. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of food. Will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area.

The rooms were a bit hot but I think that’s because we didn’t know how to operate the Aircon properly.

The staff were extremely polite and attentive, especially Davide & Paulo. Service was also exceptional and I couldn’t fault it one bit. On arrival, it was my GF’s birthday but we never mentioned anything, we left our suitcases and went for a walk as our room wasn’t ready yet (we arrived very early). Upon return, we found a happy Birthday note from the hotel and free drinks at the bar. Which was honestly great service. The hotel has 2 pools, one heated in their back garden which is lovely and another unheated, at the front of the hotel which is refreshing. They also have a lovely rooftop with an amazing view of the full lake along with a Jacuzzi you can book for free up to late hours. Their breakfast is ok, personally I would like more options both cold & hot but that’s because I like to try different foods. Their lunch & dinner menu is delicious and they definitely know what they’re doing, would 100% recommend to try it. Room wise (we took basic option) - Bathroom is very modern & clean with i’d say decent space. They’ll have everything you need apart from an iron (they do have a dry cleaning service). The room itself is nothing to rave about personally, I would expect more space and maybe more modern furniture for the price I paid and maybe a bigger balcony. I’m not sure how their pricing works because we attended with a massive wedding party (around 25-30 rooms booked out). I visited a couple rooms who paid less than what we did by around €200-€300 and their rooms were a lot bigger and had extras we didn’t, so a bit disappointing there. Overall, I would give it a 4/5.

Maybe a bigger breakfast menu and more cold options. Rooms need to be handed out based on price paid, as other members had bigger rooms with lower prices paid.

The property was beautiful. It was small and private. It was clean at all times and very well kept. It had great amenities offered to tourists. The on-site restaurant was very convenient, delicious, and friendly. The staff was INCREDIBLE. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Very patient and offered help with the ferry, possible tours, and room service. When we could not get a taxi to the train station, the staff offered to drive us. Incredible staff.

The room was beautiful but not very practical. There were no hooks for towels or suitcase tray to prop up our luggage.

We had a lovely stay at Piccola Vela. The facilities were great, the pool and jacuzzi were a highlight! The grounds were lovely. Comfortable rooms and balcony. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful with any and all requests. Breakfast was delicious.

The electronic door wasn’t working but was fine to lock with a key. Also not sure if the air conditioning was working but staff provided a fan to use.

Probably one of the best stays in a hotel weve had. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Owner was very nice.beautifully presented hotel. Back garden area with heated pool was stunning. Front garden had large pool. Roof had jacuzzi. Beautiful interior design throughout. We had a room with panoramic terrace which was great. Breakfast was very nice. 2 mins walk into town. Very hard to fault and we will certainly be back at this hotel and area.

There was nothing really to dislike.... only fault was the room fridge didnt work but wasnt a big deal.....its a beautiful well run hotel.
