I was lucky to spent three nights in the Piccola Vela hotel in the beginning of May. It was an expierence of a lifetime :) Perfect combination of luxury and guests friendly staff. Every single person was super nice and genuinely ready to make sure each guest is comfortable. They're also multilingual ( one of the front desk clerks was even speaking Polish). Two pools, two gardens, jacuzzi on the rooftop - make sure to reserve some time to enjoy the attractions provided by the hotel itself. Breakfast by the pool is marvellous and the best meals I had in Desenzano were the ones at the hotel (lunches and a delicious dinner at the Capovento restaurant). As for the location: walking distance to the port area, yet much quieter and calmer. You can enjoy birds singing in the gardens, instead of the hens- and stag-dos in the town center ;) My stay at the Piccola Vela was an 11 out of 10 experience, highly recommended 👌

Breakfast was absolutely amazing, offering every option you could imagine, with seating right by the pool and garden area—truly a dream. Both pools were stunning and incredibly serene, surrounded by lush, beautifully maintained landscaping that made the whole property feel like a paradise. My partner and I ended up spending so much time just enjoying the hotel because the atmosphere was so relaxing, cappuccinos and snacks by the pool with beautiful weather. The rooftop hot tub and patio area were also a major highlight and added an extra touch of luxury to our stay, there's panoramic views of the water, mountains, and city. We want to go back!!

Family run hotel with excellent attention to detail and very high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. There was a great selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is in a garden setting with plenty of trees for shade and no shortage of sunbeds, there was an option of two garden settings with a pool in each, also we were provided with a pool bag in the room containing pool towels and there were flip flops provided at poolside.

Wow! This hotel is amazing! All the staff are fabulous and make you feel so welcome and at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The service is outstanding, they remember what food and drink you like for breakfast, deliver drinks and snacks to the hot tub on the roof and recommend wonderful restaurants and days out. We have stayed in many hotels and this one is the best! Family friendly, hot tub and heated outdoor pool that was great to use in February. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and great location for walking into town and exploring Lake Garda. Highly recommend it and we will be back! Thank you all so much for a fantastic stay!

Beautiful hotel, tasteful decor, great amenities! The staff made us feel very welcome, we never felt rushed and felt like VIPs. They paid attention to our needs, and were going the extra mile also for our 4yearold daughter. Breakfast was a highlight, large buffet + a la carte items. Delicious and varied! Heated pool and heated rooftop jacuzzi were perfect considering the ‘bad’ weather we had. The lake is literally across the street and the small city center is well within walking distance, less than 10min away. We loved the place and it definitely was the highlight of our short Italian getaway!

Only small little thing to note is that our family room seemed very humid. But we didn’t really use the airco which of course would have helped.

The breakfast was delicious, elegant, and full of choices, both on the buffet and available to order made fresh, like eggs and pancakes. The atff was very friendly and willing to help in any way. The property is luscious and green and flowering- it feels like a garden oasis. The garden pool was almost always in the shade in summer which we liked. The location is a quick walk from the center.

The room was a little small for 2 adults, child and 3 suitcases. The shower sprayed water all over the floor and over the edges of the tub.

Wow, what a find! Firstly, the hotel is in a great location. It’s around a 15 min walk to the train station and a nice 10 min walk along the lake to the town. The hotel itself is beautifully presented and has all the facilities you need. The rooftop terrace, complete with Jacuzzi, is perfect on a clear, sunny day. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, the staff are all amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all so friendly and helpful. We will be recommending this hotel to all our friends and family.

The only negative we have for this hotel is that our room was quite noisy when adjoining rooms were using the bathroom. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever!

Really good vibe, very classy looking hotel. Location was very good and probably one of the best we have stayed in for the price. Staff were really nice and helpful, service was the best we have seen in a while. The rooftop jacuzzi had a good booking system where you book it for your room for an hour a day. They also have 2 outdoor pools one of which is heated. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of food. Will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area.

The rooms were a bit hot but I think that’s because we didn’t know how to operate the Aircon properly.

The property and gardens are stunning. We will definitely return as the staff made us very welcome and we loved spending time other than gardens. The website doesn’t do justice to the tranquility-especially the rear garden which is a hidden gem. Food was excellent. My only suggestion would be a couple more specials on evening menu. Lunch bistro is fab and we sat at rear of hotel- very special

My only slight negative was we had a corner bath with a shower above. Not the easiest to get in and out!

The hotel and grounds are exceptionally well maintained with a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. The choice of swimming pools and garden make it perfect for relaxing. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. The room was very comfortable and the housekeeping ensured the room remained fresh and clean. The restaurant offered great choices for all meals again in a very pleasant atmosphere with very efficient service.
