We like this historical buildings very much. It is well-restored, clean and stylish. The high ceilings, the old-fashioned lift and the balcony all contribute a pleasant stay in Florence. The location is definitely an advantage for us to walk around, convenient and easy to access. The breakfast they serve everyday are hearty and delicious. We all enjoyed it very much! All staff members are so attentive and responsive to cater enough food for serving the guests. We are all well taken care of ! We will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives when they are going to visit Florence.

We had a wonderful stay at Astrid Hotel and can’t say enough good things about it. The front desk staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived with their warm and professional service. Every detail throughout our stay was handled with care, from the spotless room that was cleaned daily to the attentive staff in the cafeteria who were always friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the city and makes getting to excursions incredibly easy. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which was of five-star quality, with a great variety and everything fresh and delicious each morning. What stood out the most was how genuinely the staff cared about our comfort. They constantly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines such a great location, excellent service, and that personal touch. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

Everything was perfect.

I recently stayed at Astrid Hotel and found the location to be perfect, with plenty of nearby restaurants and stores. It's also close to the train station, which was very convenient. The staff were helpful and friendly, making my stay more enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Additionally, there was no lock on the bathroom door, and when I inquired, I was told that none of the hotel rooms have bathroom locks. This is a concern, especially when staying with friends or family, and I believe it's something that should be addressed. Overall, while the location and staff were great, the cleanliness and lack of bathroom privacy were significant drawbacks.

Beautiful grand noble late 19th c building. Wonderful iron cage elevator. Less than one block from main Santa Maria Novella train station. Many restaurants including nice ones, tourist ones, budget ones and fast food within two blocks. Historic center only 10 minute walk through beautiful renaissance architecture. Hotel is on the 3rd floor of the building. Refrigerator in room. Quiet street. Secure building, entry with keypad code. They let me check out late at no cost and held my suitcase for me. Very good breakfast was included and was complete with breads, pastry, juices, meats, eggs, coffee, etc. On the street next door is a 502 year old "Della Robbia" sculpture in a tabernacle. It is an exquisite piece of renaissance art and literally 8m away!

Lighting was poor. Even with bedside lamp and ceiling fixture it was too dark to read. Modern bathroom had been carved out of part of the room with no regard to the traditional mouldings. Bathroom fan entirely too loud, at least 4.0 sones, when there are many on the market that have less than 1.0 sone of loudness. No good place to sit except the desk chair. But these are small issues and not deal-breakers at all.

All, the rooms were fantastic, everything was super clean, the bathroom, sheets, pillow, there were no dirty rugs, the tv with the possibility to log in with your fav streaming platform. Super close to every attraction, right across the street from the tramp and the rail station. Breakfast was very complete and vast. And if you are extra extra lucky, you'll get to know Eva your Firenze Angel (thank Eva for all your help and kindness)

The location is truly outstanding. It is very near the train station and also near to all the main attractions (including the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery). Also, the breakfast is really good (the brioches are really nice) and the staff is really friendly and speaks all good English. In my stay, we had some problems getting out of the city due to a railway personnel strike and they helped us to book some extra day in the accomodation. Really helpful people when you need them.

The only things that were not so good were the shower in one of the apartments. It was really small and (if you are big as I am) it can get pretty tight. Although, I booked a Quadruple Room and a Family Room, only the later had a small shower. The other one was just fine. Another thing worth noticing is that they close the reception at 17:00h but they have a nearby hotel that helps them to cover this issue. Overall, the Hotel is great, but these points are worth noticing to adjust expectations.

The hotel is close to most of Florence's attractions and is just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The air conditioning is excellent, and the rooms are spacious, suitable for a family of 5. All the necessary amenities were available in the room. The receptionist, Sana, was outstanding and went above and beyond, even communicating with us outside of working hours to ensure we arrived at the hotel smoothly. When we left the hotel very early, she arranged for our luggage to be collected from the room and kept it safe until we returned to pick it up in the evening.

The location is great, I have 3 kids and we never used a taxi/bus, the breakfast options are perfect. The room is groomed every day. I didn't try the TV but it was there and so was good WiFi, a kettle and a small fridge, that on greater stays are very useful.

The breakfast room is very small so you have to wait sometimes for others to finish. The hot water serves only 1-2 persons, with a room for 5, it's unacceptable. The elevator takes only two persons.

Hotel Astrid has good location near station and historical center. We we were a family of six and they gave us a better room after first night without extra coast. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff ("la cubana") very helpful and willing to serve, like reception ladies. We enjoy our time there.
