We stayed 8 nights in Hotel Joli and absolutely loved this hotel and the lovely couple who run the place. Location: very close to the train station, which is convenient if using Florence as a base to day trip to other cities. There is a carrefour express just around the corner if you want to buy water or anything at all. Room: very large and comfortable. It felt more like coming home to a small apartment every day. You do hear some noise from neighbors sometimes, especially if you are on lower floor you can hear people above you walking and pushing chairs. However, even with that we still slept very well, Bathroom: Updated bathroom which felt luxurious. Water pressure was a bit low, but as soon as I messaged through the app to ask they sent maintenance same day and immediately it was perfect for the rest of our stay. Breakfast: if it is included in your room rate you will not be disappointed. Wonderful coffee, pastries, sandwiches, freshly made eggs, tomato mozzarella salad, tiramisu, croissants, cold cuts, cheese selections, fruits, yogurt, juice, nuts, etc. Breakfast is officially from 8-9:30, but even when we arrived a few minutes earlier the sweet gentleman was always happy to get us a coffee and dish up whatever was already available. Once his beautiful wife arrives she starts right away with making fresh eggs. They are so genuinely sweet and have a beautiful spirit. We started each day with a full belly and a happy heart thanks to these beautiful people. We truly felt like we were family by the time we left. Overall I believe this hotel should be much higher than 2 stars, and I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will stay again if we are lucky enough to visit Florence again.

We arrived early to drop bags off to go explore. Received a warm welcome and a cup of coffee and tart. Well needed after the journey. We were also able to gain access early as the room was ready. On return in the evening, I was offered water / juice also .breakfast was delicious, lovely family run business.

Staff were very friendly, particularly the woman who was normally on reception and who served breakfast (I'm annoyed I didn't get her name!) Her English seemed to be the best out of the 3 people we regularly saw, but everyone was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Our room was very comfortable and quiet until about 8am when breakfast started as we were directly opposite the breakfast room. Location was great, about 5 minutes from the train station and easy access to the main tourist attractions and good restaurants and bars nearby.

We would have loved somewhere that we could sit outside or semi outside (eg balcony or garden) but I guess that's hard to find right in the centre of a city!

This is a family run hotel and the staff is very nice. The lady who prepares the breakfast was so lovely and made us feel very welcome. Yummy breakfast with fresh juice. The hotel is within a walk distance from the main attractions in Florence. There are lots of restaurants near the hotel. The rooms are very clean.

Oh my gosh, what can I say bad about this property!? Mrs. Chiara, madre (Mrs. Marinella), padre (Mr. Giovanni) were an absolute pleasure to stay with. The breakfast was fantastic with many homemade pastries and treats. Madre makes the omelets herself and you can tell she makes them with love. I did not want to leave but we had to continue our journey through northern Italy. Mrs. Chiara- I loved staying at your property and will recommend you to ALL my close friends. I appreciate your family like hospitality, and we miss you already so much! I can’t wait to plan my next trip and your hotel is at the top of my list. The staff is amazing. We loved that aged couples run the show here. They were always there to greet and support needed. Thankfully we were informed the day light saving time change. Else we would have missed the flight. They were very sweet. Room was decorated in a very unique way ( unlike a normal hotel ) Areas of improvement: the plug for the kettle near the kettle would help. The shower pressure could be slightly more it was 1.3 1.4 bar. If it comes close to 2 it would be amazing. The shelf to keep your things above washbasin becomes wet because of its position. It could be changed to a side may be ? But other wise a wonderful hotel. Close to bus and train station. Walking distance of 1 to 2 km to all important attractions.

The location of Hotel Joli is perfect for walking the entirety of Florence while staying close to the train station. The room was very clean and was refreshed daily! It was so nice coming back to a fresh made bed and clean room after a long day of touring. Breakfast was a highlight with several quality premade and made to order options! Staff was super friendly and clear with building entry instructions.

There were a few quirks of the room, like a toilet flush button that stuck a bit when pressed and a slow draining shower. Nothing that affected our stay and was understandable given, what I presume, is an older building.

We would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay while visiting the area. We had a very spacious comfortable room with a great en suite with a very powerful shower. The breakfast room was welcoming with a good choice of food. The staff were very helpful. The location was close to the station and easy walking distance to the main tourist locations.

The normal black tea and coffee were not always replenished and couldn't always be found in the reception area either. We would have preferred a help yourself buffet for breakfast.

Great location, just around the corner from the train station, and 10-15 mins walk from most places of interest. Continental breakfast, cheese, meats and bread, along with a choice of cakes, fresh fruit and yogurt, which was in part served by the hosts rather than helping yourself. Hosts really friendly. Good size room and comfortable. It is on the third floor, but the steps were fine. There is a lift although I didn't use it. My room faced the road, but on the third floor of the building I wasn't disturbed by traffic noise, apart from the occasional car horn which is usual in a city. Able to leave bags for the day after check-out. Judge this as an excellent 2 star property, it's not 4 star, although that doesn't mean it's cheap. Would recommend.

There was a lack of soundproofing for the room, but in the five nights I stayed I was only disturbed one night when other guests in the next room arrived or returned at around 11pm, played music loudly and then used the shower and what sounded like a hair dryer for some time.

Very hospitable staff - seemed to be run by a family. The lady at the check-in counter offered me a cup of free cafe latte. The room was great for this price - spacious and comfortable. It’s also good that the toilet and shower are separate. Hotels such as this kind seldom serve hot food but they are happy to cook omelettes for you in different styles - I have heard some requested for eggs with cheese etc. The location is the best - a stone’s throw from the train station and there is a full fledged super market 2 mins walk from the hotel - all great stuff at cheap prices!
