The location was a 3 minute walk from the main train station in Florence and only a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. There is also a few little supermarkets down the road to get snacks/ drinks. The staff on reception are the best!! The building is old and I loved how a lot of these features have been retained in the rooms too. There is a coffee station available 24hrs to make drinks and we were able to leave our luggage there after checking out on our last day whilst we continued to explore the city a bit more before leaving.

As a British tea drinker, maybe a few small cartons of long life milk in the room would have been good ;) (!) (But there was milk available from the coffee machine).

The location is really great. It's about 5 minute walk from the train station so walking with luggage to and from station was relatively easy. Everything was nearby. Supermarkets, chain fast food restaurants. Firenze is a relatively small city so all the attractions that we wanted to go were 15-30 minute walks. The staff was great and friendly.someone was at the info desk during business hours so if you had questions and needed anything, they were available. They responded very quickly to whatsapp as well.

The only thing that i didn't like was that the wifi was really slow. like 200kb/s. I am not sure if it's the service provider's fault or the property has a really slow internet plan but the wifi was extremely slow and the internet was almost unusable. You'd have to watch Youtube videos at 360p or less. If you are traveling for work or need to work during travel, this might be very inconvenient. Other than this, no complaints.

It was very convenient to the train station and to get to most all of Florence! Ericka was so nice and professional. She was easy to speak with and she gave recommendations for places to eat and shop! We became friends instantly! I loved the elevator… very cool! The modern room was super comfortable with space to move around with luggage. I was grateful for the complimentary water , coffee and tea available 24 hours.

Great communication from the hotel staff! Loved the proximity to the train station and the “big sights”! The room was very simple and very clean! Really appreciated the AC on the very warm days, and being able to open the balcony doors when it got cooler. The free coffee was a nice perk!

A better chair in the room, and moving the fridge out from under the desk. These are minor, and I was able to get a different chair, and I’m sure they would have helped with moving the fridge, but I didn’t want to be a bother. A note about turning on the coffee/tea electricity would be helpful too, but again, very minor.

The location of the hotel is very near to the santa Maria train station. Hardly 2 mins walk. A very easy, quick, and comfortable check-in. The hotel Receptionist Miss. Erica is an extremely professional and humble lady. She welcomed us warmly and made our stay very easy and comfortable. She was very helpful in guiding us with the local attraction and food. We wish her all the very best for her future.

My stay at Hotel Duca D'Aosta was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The service provided by the staff was not only helpful but also incredibly kind. The location of the hotel surpassed my expectations. Moreover, there was always coffee and water available for a break. I am pleasantly surprised by the level of service and attention to detail offered by Hotel Duca D'Aosta. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in the city for a very reasonable price. Thank you for making my experience truly unforgettable!

Staff were great and the hotel is located in an excellent location

Very big room and very close to train station, museums and city downtown.

Capuchino machine has to be plugged in and waiting for warm up to make a single capuchino or espresso coffee. It took a 5 minutes wait every morning for the machine to get ready to make them. Owner should have a different approach to make this amenity easier and faster for tourists who are in a hurry to go outside.

The location is super central and we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted. Also so close to the train station and the shuttle to the airport. The room was spacious and the staff was super helpful.

The hotel is at the 2. Floor of the building and there’s one very old elevator. We were traveling with a toddler and our stroller didn’t fit so we had to carry it every time we come and go. Our stay at the hotel was still pleasant, however, it’s an accessibility issue.

Really enjoyed my stay here. As a solo traveller i felt safe as the hotel was secure, quiet and well equipped. The staff (Erika) was super friendly and welcoming allowing me to feel very comfortable and looked after. We had a chat each morning as I was leaving for the day. location was great, being so close to the station.
