Perfect Location.1 minute from the Tram stop.You are in the city centre within minutes. The hotel is a lovely building, the garden is beautiful surrounded by Jasmin and the scent will forever remind me of Florence. The Reception staff are very kind and helpful.On the day we arrived I did not like the room,although my husband was happy. Thomoso changed the room immediately,the new room was gorgeous. On the day we checked out we still had a few hours before our train back to Rome,Alex kindly offered to look after the luggage whilst we enjoyed the beautiful sights of Florence. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety,the orange juice is made fresh regularly in the morning. Sergio and his colleagues in the restaurant are doing a great job. Sergio makes the best cappucino. Thank you everyone.

The carpets in the corridors are looking tired and worn and could do with a good clean.

The listing does not do this hotel justice at all it was far better than i expected and the staff were all fantastic especially Paloma, they were all really helpful !!! I asked for a room with a bath as I prefer a bath and that was no problem at all, I also arrived early and that wasn't an issue, I was able to check in early. Everything was fantastic. The hotel itself is really nice and has a bus stop right outside so it's really easy to catch a bus to the centre no need for taxis. The breakfast was great and a lot on offer hot and cold choices. They even made me a take away breakfast bag one morning when I had an early morning tour which was really kind and appreciated. I will definitely be going back.

The heating was a little noisy but this is very minor.

The hotel overall is very nice. It has not been renovated recently, but it was clean and decent. The room was big, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good, it has scrambled eggs, a range of hams, and many many sweets. The location is also very good, you can walk to the center in 20 minutes. There is also public transit option nearby but we didn’t use it. The neighbourhood is very very nice, quiet and clean. There is a big garage just 2 minutes away that cost 15 euros per day. You can park your car in front of the hotel to drop off or load your things. The staff were kind.

The rooms were cold and the temperature couldn’t be regulated. The towels are of bad quality, take in water easily and couldn’t be dried. They were changed every day though.

Size of room, bathroom, balcony, breakfast was okay. Location is about a 20 minute walk from the "sights" but also only a 20 minute walk from the train station which was ideal as we arrived into Florence via train. A bus (7 or 10) takes you directly outside of the hotel or you can take the tram (as we did) and it stops at the end of the street and then it is a 10 minute walk along a straight road to the hotel.

Coffee pods/sachets were not replaced the 3 days we were there. Also only given 1 coffee pod and 2 sachets initially for 2 people for 3 days. Also maid did not replace dirty cups after using the coffee sachets/pod after day 1. Dirty cups were left where we left them. Appreciate we could just wash them, however, usually hotels replace.

Tommaso at the front desk was so incredibly helpful. It was our first time in Florence, and he made sure to answer any questions we had and provided us with great options. He also made sure to tend to our comfort needs. Tommaso made an already great stay even better. The rooms are nice and they provide a great breakfast to start the day. Highly suggest staying at the San Gallo Firenze

The rooms could use a bit of a refreshing. It's a small suggestion as everything was great. But for example, the shower door just let water through and really needs to be fixed. It was a little stressful as water would make it's way through during every shower.

Check-in process was very smooth. The room facilities were exceptional, starting from a big toilet with a great selection of amenities and ending up with very comfortable beds. The food choices on breakfast were very good, even with local food available and coffee made by staff. It is fairly easy to reach the hotel by car and continue to the city center by public transport. Overall the hotel felt really clean and the staff was very welcoming.

In-hotel parking is not available so the staff directs you towards a public garage a few minutes away. During our stay, our safe deposit box was out of service and the staff couldn't arrange a replacement but they were quick to offer a solution by leaving our valuables at the reception desk's safe.

Property was well placed and very comfortable. What however stood out for me was the people. I had left my wallet in the room by mistake. It was christmas day with no service to return wallet before a week. The hotel support staff took it on herself to come half way to where i was, meet me and give me my wallet. She sure was my christmas miracle.

Charming hotel, fabulous bathtub. Lovely breakfast and a garden area walled in by flowing jasmine in late May. A few steps from a great street of restaurants.

As an older person, too far to walk to downtown Florence and the train station. If I was younger or in better shape, I'm sure this wouldn't be a consideration. I was told by the very kind front desk staff that there is an nearby trolley stop to train station.

This was the best Italian hotel we've stayed in! That is saying a lot because we probably stayed in 15 different hotels all over Italy in the last 2 years. The bed- was very comfortable- so comfortable that I forgot what country I was in! The room- The room was a good size. I love the amount of mirrors in the room, especially the full length one on the closet, It made for a great place to put on my makeup. The breakfast- the breakfast was exceptional a lot of wonderful fresh options. It was not a typical Italian breakfast. They offered to make fresh cappuccino and espresso. I am not a fan of the machine ones. The staff- The staff was very nice. Very helpful. Just really cool people. Accessibility- It was a very convenient hotel and it had three different elevators. Not just one small elevator like most European hotels. Location- The hotel was about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the city center but it was an enjoyable walk. Parking- We drove up from Naples and it was nice that the parking garage was 15 euros a day to park. Check-out- We very much appreciated the 12:00 p.m. check out, not that we needed that much time but I always appreciate hotels giving extra time in the morning on the checkout day. If I ever go to Florence again I would definitely want to stay here again!

I only would have liked for our hotel room refrigerator to work better. I like to have cold water and often drink prosecco cold. The lighting in the bedroom could be a lot better. There needs to be more light near the closet mirror.

Everything was just perfect. The location of the hotel was good in case of bus stops. The room was clean and big enough. We had breakfast included and their cakes were just excellent! Yummy :) After one cleaning the staff forgot to give us towels but it was managed fast by the reception. Also, on the last day, the pressure in the shower was weak, but the receptionist told us that they were working on it. The staff was very kind and they gave us drinks also after the bar was closed. I recommend :)
