The entry in Booking.com said it was near Brignole Station, and it certainly was. Less than a few minutes walk. The albergo is on the 5th floor, but the lift is efficient and readily available. The stairs are also wide, and clean! Antonio and the staff are friendly and eager to assist. As well as being close to the railway station (on the direct route to the Cinque Terre towns), the albergo is located on a major shopping street, and is well served by buses and the Metro. Yet this busyness does not distract from getting a good night's sleep - very quiet. There is a fridge, and a kettle, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom large.

Very good location, in the centre. The room was not very big, but it's enough for two people. The bed, table, shower, toilet, mirrors, window - everything ok. It was very quiet at night. Also there was a breakfast in the morning. The hotel is located at 5th floor, but there was an elevator. Also it was possible to use common balcony for smoking or just sitting with nice view. The administrators also were very nice and helpful. I forgot my jacket in the hotel and they helped me to solve the problem :)

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is located right in the heart of the city. The building itself is a charming, historic structure, adding a lot of character to the overall experience. It's just a 3-minute walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. The accommodation was comfortable, with a very cozy bed that ensured a good night's sleep. While the furniture was a bit dated, it still fit the overall charm of the place, and everything was in good working condition. One of the highlights is definitely the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful part of the city, full of lovely streets to explore, and plenty of great cafes and shops nearby. All in all, it's a great choice if you're looking for a central location, a unique setting, and a comfortable stay for night or two.

The furniture in the room was a bit older, giving the space a somewhat dated feel. The bathroom, while clean, also looked quite old and could benefit from some updates to match the charm of the building.

For the type of accommodation it is, this place was perfect for a few nights' stay! Clean, warm, nothing special or luxurious but it was still very good and with a great price for a single room+ensuite bathroom. The location just around the corner from the train station was amazing as I had many day trips planned and also arrived/left with heavy luggage. Would definitely stay again!

There were almost no toiletries, luckily I did bring my own. There were wifi issues - I ended up not having it 2 nights in a row. One of the receptionists didn't speak English, Spanish, or French, I tried it all :D He was really nice, but it was a bit frustrating, especially when I had issues to solve and limited time.

The albergo is very close to Brignole station and has a central location. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, we even had a balcony. The receptionist does not speak much English, but we managed to understand each other in mixed italiano and English. He was very helpful and the reception is open 24/7.

The room was a bit cold, we couldn't get the air conditioner to provide efficient heating, but the blankets were warm, so for a one night stay it was not really a problem.

Albergo Astro is a hotel with a great location, in the main street of Genova, 10min walking from the main square. We stayed with our dog and the staff was so kind, they gave her dog cookies, cuddles and we felt very welcomed. Even though it's on the main street, there was no noise from the cars or fireworks (we were staying there for New Year's Eve). The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. Highly recommend and we'll for sure come back!

The room was just renovated and very nice and clean. The location is very central, you can get to all attractions in Genua by foot. There are also a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars around.

There was a bit of mold in the shower but not a lot, didn't bother me. It was pretty loud at night because the hotel is directly at a big street but only one night was bad, the second was fine.

The building was beautiful, the location was spectacular. The room was very, very clean, spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. The balcony was lovely. The hallways were a little bit cluttered as if they were doing renovations or something, and that’s the only negative thing I have to say. It was really a great little hotel with super friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay at Albergo Astro in Genoa. The room was spacious and equipped with air conditioning, ensuring our comfort. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Plus, the hotel is perfectly located near the Brignole station, making it super convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Great location near old town. Mercato Orientale was around the corner, perfect for our needs. There's a good sized balcony with a nice view for breakfast. Friendly staff and 24h reception.

Very noisy bathroom. Everytime you flush is like the entire building woke up. And it's the same when other guests flushes too
