This was my first visit to Rome and I felt welcomed by Veronica and her family who run this lovely hotel. They were very accommodating at check-in and answered my questions about public transportation and getting around the city. The location was ideal since it was just a 10-minute walk to the Policlinico Metro Line B and several buses (63, 64, 19) were just a block away. I liked that this was not a touristy area, yet there were 2 gelaterias and a market within a 5 minute walk, and nearby Borghese Gardens was a sweet little park for unwinding after a long day of adventures. I also enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet outside in the jasmine-covered courtyard. Lots of fresh fruit and juice which got my day off to a good start!

Even though the hotel is located on a quiet street, it borders a busy main road, and my room was street-side so there was a lot of vehicle noise at all hours. Definitely choose "garden view" next time!

This place is very convenient to the bus stops.Easy access to the city and all the vista points.Host and her dad were extremely sweet and patiently answered all the queries we had.They were sweet enough to accomodate any type of special request.Breakfast was great with many options of breads , desserts and juices.Our flight messed up with the baby stroller that it was shipped couple of days later to the hotel.Host dad ensured he picked it while delivery happened as the host and her dad stayed a bit far from their hotel.Overall , most accessible and very convenient place and our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed it.

Veronica was very friendly and helpful. She was at breakfast every morning to help with the Espresso. Her father and brother were nice as well. We liked the location and also the "old school" keys ( real skeleton keys- 1 to open the massive front door, one for the room and one for the hall)- We felt very safe and walked home pretty late several nights.

We had a little miscommunication on the cleaning but it was partly on us due to our schedules. The balcony was nice but could use a little TLC with some flowers and chairs outside so you could fully enjoy.

Staff is really great! Veronica, David and their dad were incredibly nice, warm and welcoming, really made us feel like home. They even made our room ready before check in hours, a bliss for someone who had just landed from overseas. The place is close to several bus stops that take you everywhere in town, and it’s a 30min walk to both Colosseum and Historical Center. They offer a breakfast which includes bread, assorted loafs, yogurt, fruit, coffee… it’s not heavy, but it’s wonderful to have the day started! Rome is very expensive, so I strongly recommend this place as a great value for money deal!

What a gem of a b&b. We had some issues that meant we arrived 3 hours later than expected and in the dark. However we had a really warm welcome and were delighted with the b&b. It's so nicely decorated and comfortable with a cool old lift and lots of interesting places to discover nearby. The hosts were amazingly friendly and coped admirably with my very bad Italian :). Breakfast is light, Italian style with good coffee and lots of choice. Wifi is really good! Grazie per tutto!

Nothing - it was all great. Just one point to make that might help other travellers - it can be quite noisy in the morning if you want to sleep a bit later but other guests are leaving early because the doors all open on to a corridor. But otherwise it's very quiet and on a quiet street.

Great family hotel sitauted in preserved building. Location is perfect-just 2-3 stops to the city centre. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff - all family members are taking care of you. In the morning, they prepare you a coffee while you have breakfast. Just to note, for the breakfast you will have sweets-toasts, croasiants, fruit... Rooms are very clean, tiles on the floor also. We were in one-bedroom apartment so 2 persons have a bedroom with a king size bed and small one extra bed. In the living room there is sofa for other 2 persons. Sleeping on the sofa is not the most comfortable, but you will be tired and sleep like a baby. Bathroom is spacious, but there could be few hangings for the towels. All in all - we will come again!

Spacious, nice views over the garden, good restaurants in local area, near Metro station. Staff very helpful.

Nothing really. There are some cooking facilities and a sink and fridge in the room, but nothing to cook or eat with. It would have been nice to have had some glasses for water.

The guest house is a small family business. Everything is on a very personal level, family and staff are very friendly, helpful and speak good English. Breakfast is nice, but only sweet. If you prefer salty breakfast, you can keep your own things in the refrigerator. There is a lot of space in the suite (we had one big room, with a smaller room attached, no door in between, and then the bathroom). For our son we rented a baby bed, which was provided by the guest house, as well. The rooms were very clean and also cleaned every day. We went sightseeing every day, mostly by bus, once by tram/metro, which was very easy. The bus station is close by and the busses go direclty to the center of tourist-rome, as well as the Castello St.Angelo. The metro station can be reached by foot or tram and goes directly to the main station or the colosseum, all within 4 stops. We walked to the park Villa Borghese. There is a good restaurant (fair price) and a store within 2 min walking distance. The guest house is in a side street, close to a bigger busy street, but you only hear it when the window is open. Even though the building itself is from the 1800s, the windows are modern and keep out any noise. Also the bathrooms are clean and modern.

For us it wasn't a problem, but you should be aware that rooms open directly to the hallway and are not completely sound proof. Our door was right next to the reception desk, so we could hear when people talked loudly (e.g. checked in or discussed something on the way out) and we assume that people standing in the hallway could hear us, if we were speaking loudly. But that didn't happen often (and then only for a few short moments) and we were moslty out in the city, anyway. The second thing that also was not a problem for us, but could be for others: the entrance can only be reached by ascending the staircase of 8 steps.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Quiet area, 30min walk into central area of Rome. Staff are very polite and helpful with anything you need. Fresh fruits on breakfast, good coffee.

Water on bathroom has problems, pressure was low and you sometimes have to wait 5minutes to get hot water which makes shower last long and hard. Something fresh from bread or pastry or salt would be nice.

Veronica was there on call for us. We were welcomed very warmly. The apartment was massive in typical Italian style. Everything was clean, spotless and functional, really above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast was traditional Mediterranean style. Sufficient for our family needs. Very homely in presentation which suited us perfectly. Thank you!
