We loved the location with a few nice restaurants & shops nearby and 15 min walk to the Colosseum. Lovely breakfast with the option to eat al fresco on the terrace. The staff is attentive and helpful. Rooms are comfortable.

You should really pay attention to the hotel messages re. the location. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a historic building and they are not allowed to put a sign up outside. Don't despair - the hotel does exist!

The perfect location, walking distance to all the main sites. Lots of restaurants around also! The rooms were spacious and beds comfy!

The breakfast was ok, the dining space was very cramped. There was an outside terrace but everyday all the furniture was wet so couldn’t sit out there. I appreciate we could of spoken to someone about this but there was only person on breakfast service. Also our city tax was double what was quoted on booking.com due to a change on the 1st October. We would have appreciated being told this in advance, it went from €45 to €90 which is a massive difference to be told at the end of our stay.

The staff is very friendly, always available and ready to help. Sarah and Jenny took very good care of the breakfast, that was diverse and fresh. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need: a large walk in closet with safe, a fridge, good quality windows, excellent air conditioning (we were there in the winter). The badroom is very comfortable and modernized.

It was for us not a problem but it is good to know that the hotel is on a third floor and that the elevator is slow (we only used it for the luggage). We had no issues finding the Hotel because we booked the pick up service from the airport (highly recommended) but I can imagine that arriving by yourself it may be hard to find it because there are no signs outside.

Despite the minor issues, I would still recommend it for the location and overall comfort.

- Location is amazing, walking distance to all sights and in a lively neighbourhood - The staff is incredible!!!! I think the best part of the stay. They are so competent, kind, friendly and overall helpful. Rosa, Karla, Achille and Benedetta are the ones I remember by name, but if there were others during our stay, all were wonderful. - Beware this is only one floor and like a guesthouse, but we had everything we needed. Rooms are spacious too! and all very clean. - From the room you see Via Nazionale which is great!!!

Honestly not much. Maybe the breakfast could have had more options and I think hot water / coffee machine would be a nice touch (you need to ask it all the time)

This hotel and room was perfect for our short stay in Rome. The room was modern but still had a historical element due to the building the hotel is in. The staff were amazing and helped us with all of our needs. They helped us organise hotel transfers, free tour experiences and provided us with recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast offered at the hotel was really good and Lorenzo greeted us with a smile each morning. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing, the Colosseum and Roman Forum were a short walk and public transport was easy to navigate.

The Monti location was perfect! Within walking distance to all of the popular attractions but far enough away to not feel touristy. Lots of culture and things to do in Monti! And it felt safe. The ladies at Salotto Monti went above and beyond to be helpful (recommending travel routes, packing a breakfast box to go, etc) all while maintaining pleasant attitudes. We had a maintenance issue in our room that was resolved so quickly! Also, we loved the variety of breakfast items. Eating on the terrace was such a treat!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with additional sofa bed. It was Spacious, Clean and comfortable for our group of 5 people. We appreciated having very good air conditioning in both bedrooms and living room as it was extremely hot in Rome in mid August. We were grateful for the kitchenette and washing machine. The staff were welcoming and happy to assist us with booking taxis etc.

Only a couple of minor negatives: 1. There was no sign at the entrance door showing Salotto Monti or reception level 3. This would be helpful. 2. It would have been great to having a folding drying line in the apartment to hang the clean laundry after using the washing machine. 3. With a group of 5, hot water ran out after 2 showers. So needed to space the timing out.

Great location. Wonderful, helpful staff. Nice breakfast in the hotel, which was helpful with a 2yr old.

We had a problem with no hot water in our room, but this fixed within 24hrs, which we were very grateful for. On our last night, I pulled back the duvet and noticed a dark mark under the sheet, which turned out to be a blood stain on the mattress protector. I lay a towel down over that side of the bed, but unfortunately couldn’t bring myself sleep on that side. Not a good end to a wonderful stay.

Great location at a historical building next to Via Nazionale, easy to commute by bus from/to Ternini and around the city. Colosseo & Foro Romano at a walking distance. Very kind and helpful staff. Simple but good breakfast available with 7€ only and the possibility to enjoy the roof terrace.

Unfortunately the rooms at not very soundproof and you can hear almost everything from the hallway/reception since the rooms locate along two small hallways. This is mostly due to other guests unable to take others into consideration by being too loud in the morning/at night. If you’re a light sleeper, take earplugs with you. But hey, most of us get up early for sightseeing anyway. ;)
