Close to Riverwalk

$28/night fee for parking. If hotels want guests they should provide free parking. They already own the space and this is just another way to gig customers.

Loved the ease of online check in and check out. The staff we encountered were all so helpful and friendly, especially Michael! They handled a huge group of people with ease as there were several competitions going on. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices and they also have a nice lounge with a happy hour. The pool was a fun place to gather in the evenings with lots of tables and lounge chairs. King suite was big and the doors to close off from the sitting area is great. Blocks away from the convention center and Riverwalk so walking to and from multiple times daily is easy.

Breakfast was the same each day.... but, it was leniently open to everyone without even checking if one is checked in or not. I even saw a vagabond enter and got food. No one reprimanded him. Location is good with very nice attractions around, like restos, shops, tourist spots, etc... Front desk staff were generally courteous, except for 1 male front desk staff who received my call around 11pm on nov.28,2024. He was indifferent unlike his colleagues who were warm and enthusiastic. I dont mind much, afterall it was 11pm, probably he was already tired and sleepy.

They charged my card on file for the stay after I had already paid via booking com. So I was double charged and the guy I talked to on the phone at the hotel acted like he could care less that the hotel had taken 1400$ out of my account and after complaining a lot they finally decided to cut me a break and give me my money back in 7 to 10 business days. I have no idea why this happened and I guess using booking.com doesn't help me not get double charged so this may be my last transaction with either booking.com or La Quinta San Antonio.

We loved the location, right off the Riverwalk with a parking lot. The hotel itself was nice, clean, and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. They gave us great recommendations on restaurants and were super helpful. We had a room with the double beds which were very comfortable and the room had a mini fridge which was great. The breakfast was great which a good spread! Eggs, waffles, cereal all were great. We LOVE that they are dog friendly and everyone was very kind to our pup. We will definitely be coming back and staying at this hotel!

I feel like parking should be included in the stay. The parking lot is right next to the hotel which is very nice. It was $35 a day for parking.

Location was very close the Riverwalk. Within walking distance. Less than a 10 min walk. We didn't use the pool, but it was busy, and everyone looked like they were having fun. They a lounge that looked nice. Didn't use that either. The lobby area was really nice.

Front desk staff wasn't friendly. Questions were met with not the friendliest of attitudes. I booked 2 rooms and when I checked out, they asked me to place my keys in the basket and without looking said "Ok...your checked out". Didn't ask my name nor room numbers. So how would they have known which rooms were being checked out? I had to ask for a receipt. When leaving 3 of 4 elevations were not working. So, every elevator that stopped on our floor was full. We just took the stairs down. Parking was pricey.

Varying color lit pool, buffet( seven Texas waffle irons, sausage and eggs etc.), Rivercenter Mall across the street, Denny's even closer. Really chill cocktail lounge (The 501) really comfortable stylish seating, however the tables should be cocktail height (suggestion to management) it's literally the only thing missing. Apparently there's a dome really close by for the local sports and various other forms of entertainment. It's like the same distance from here as it is to be Alamo, or so I've been told. Just formed that triangle in my head, cool. But I digress. It's by far my new favorite place to stay downtown when I'm in San Antonio.

BUFFET ENDS AT 9😭... just kidding, that's only preventing me from going back for the second round and let's admit it, none of us need to be going back for seconds on a breakfast buffet. Am I right?! Cause if that thing went on till 9:30 or 10:00am, I'd definitely be having breakfast AND BRUNCH😂 Can I get an amen😎

The hotel was very clean and up to date. The staff was friendly and responsive. The pool was clean and very pretty at night with color changing lights. They were very accommodating with regards to pets

I didn’t realize the beds were full not queen. Challenging for a family. ALSO The toilet stopped in our 5th floor room 3 times. Like, it just stopped working. Used the lobby restroom once , same thing. Clearly they need to work on the plumbing system.

Really great location, very accessible to Downton San Antonio, the river walk, and Alamo. All the staff were pleasant and accommodating.

The room smelled drafty, like it wasn't aired out in a long time when we first went in. Maybe because the building is old since some areas of the hotel are also like that? I think we went on a very busy weekend since it was so packed during breakfast. But the staff opened the bar area so that people have extra space, tables and chairs to eat.

The location was right across the street from the convention centre making it extremely convenient. It was also only a few blocks away from the start of the riverwalk, making going out at night and seeing the sights very enjoyable. The staff were good and aside from small miscommunication regarding housekeeping (which management quickly rectified) the entire stay was pleasant and exactly what you would expect from a La Quinta

The pillows were not very good. This could be an entirely subject thing but we usually like our pillows a bit plumber and firmer.
