Great location - right next to Odori Park & Sapporo TV tower and a few steps away from Odori subway station which connects to all three subway lines. Also walking distance to Nijo market and Tanukikoji Shopping Street and if you use the Odori underground walkway, you can walk to Susukino and Sapporo station. Hotel has a lounge area on the reception floor and a rooftop bar. My room was clean and quite spacious with timber furnishings including the floorboards. One tip for those arriving by JR train and using the subway to get to the hotel - Odori station exit 23 while the closest to the hotel entrance does not have a lift or escalators so if you have luggage, it’s not the most convenient. Use exit 8 near Aurora Town instead as that exit has a lift and is about a 5-8 minute easy walk to the hotel (walk towards the Sapporo TV tower).

They provide most amenities but charge a fee for a shower cap which I feel is unreasonable.

Excellent hotel overall, we would come back again next time we are in Sapporo! - Great location right at Odori Park/TV Tower, with subway exit right outside the hotel. Quiet and restful at night, but only 10-15 minutes walk to Susukino or Sapporo Station - Modern and clean hotel design - Trendy lounge on 2nd floor with great vibes and rooftop lounge with perfect view of TV Tower - Rooms are cozy, warm, inviting, with high ceilings, lots of light, Hokkaido sourced wood, and a record player instead of TV - Free rental room for items like air purifier, scale, etc. which were very useful

- Although rooms are a decent size, it lacked storage and table space for practicality - Needs more coin laundry machines (only 2 for the entire hotel) - almost always in use. We prefer separate wash dry machines so dryers don’t take up a washing machine as they take so long. No ironing room needed - Needed to ask front desk daily for water bottles - would prefer a filtered water dispenser on more floors - Elevator wait times could get long as there are only 2

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms do not have TV, but they do have a record player and you can borrow records from the lobby, which is on the second floor. They also provide pajamas (instead of a bath robe) to enjoy during your stay. There's a restaurant on the ground floor and a roof bar that's lovely at night, weather permitting.

Our room the first night faced a blank wall. For 2000 Yen extra per night we were able to move the next day to a room facing the park and the beautiful Panasonic TV tower. It was well worth it. If you care about seeing anything out of the window, get a room upgrade.

The rooms were clean with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel is really neat to all the shops as well as trains and restaurants. It’s right in front of the Sapporo TV Tower with the lovely Odori Park with a great cafe next door too.

During our stay a small fire broke out in one of the rooms late at night, requiring an evacuation. No one from the hotel came to attend to the guests or translate what the firemen were saying to us. This I would say was the biggest flaw. The hotel is amazing otherwise but in an emergency there was no one to address the guests concerns or make us understand what was happening. Guests had to use translation apps and speak directly to the firemen whom we cannot blame for not being able to speak English. Almost all the guests could not speak Japanese and this should haven been a critical area of focus from the hotel. The firemen did a great job and were quick to respond so we are very grateful for that.

Right on Odori Park next to Sapporo TV Tower. Walking distance to tons of places including about 15 minutes to Susukino (Sapporo's Entertainment District). Typically small rooms for Japan, but stylishly done. Staff was amazing! Amy went way out of her way to help me find a great sushi place for dinner as my preference was fully booked. She spent a ton of time and found a world class place. Very relaxed and stylish bar area (with $15 AUD glasses of good champagne). Easy check-in/out. Just a great experience.

The airporter bus wasn't the easiest as it drops you about 4 blocks away, but you can take a train and transfer to get off at Odori Station which is basically under the hotel.

I had an amazing stay! Easy check in and out with amenities to choose from at check in. The room was bigger than I thought it would be. The bathroom was spacious with tub and shower. Cute concept with the record player (i got Billy Joel!) I also had a great view of sapporo tv tower! Rooftop view was also nice. I wish I had stayed for the lounge/drink at night. It was easy walking distance from shops, stations and nijo market. Staff was really kind and helpful. They helped me send my luggage to my next accomodation. Will definitely stay here again!

More of a heads up, only 2 laundry machines for the whole hotel. But I didn't have any problems with it. I was able to use it when I needed it :)

I loved the style and comfort. Woodwork, photos on the wall, wood carvings in the hall gave a strong sense of Hokkaido. About a 15 minute walk from the station, through the underground passage. Convenient to stores and restaurants. I loved the turntable and vinvyl record in my room. A wonderful touch. I stayed for 5 nights and it felt like home. Will definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was poor. Cold egg, day old pastries, limited selection. Over-priced. Not a problem because there are so many other options for breakfast in the area, but it is too bad that the breakfast isn't better, considering the high quality of the hotel. I had no problem with the lack of a TV, but this may turn off some guests.

The property location is just top notch, located right next to the famous TV station, the rooms having direct view with the Cabin rooms of the tower were amazing. Moreover, it is right next to a subway exit, underground shopping tunnel called pole town and only 5 mins walk to the main streets, restaurants, shopping. Location was 10/10. The rooms were so clean, cozy, comfortable and spacious for Japanese standard hotels. The record player in the room is so unique and easy to use. The bathroom was spacious having a shower and a bathtub, water pressure was good. The view from the rooftop bar was so beautiful. Everything about the stay was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.

The check in area was a little bit crowded and small, but the staffs were very kind, friendly and helpful. Sometimes you do hear upstairs walking, and occasional traffic, ambulance sound outside from the main road.

Superb modern design, really nice room with window seat and plenty of light. Great location close to good eateries and a great cafe with a very popular speciality coffee cafe Mermaid Roasters. Great vibe, excellent coffee, very friendly staff and lovely interior. The hotel restaurant had excellent food which we really enjoyed but serves were (artfully)small and we felt they were more like entrees. We would have liked more hearty serves as we still felt hungry. The food WAS exceptional. We decided to have breakfast there the following morning returning 5 minutes after first looking but weren't sure so wandered out to corner cafe but on finding it didn't open til 10 am we returned to the hotel to have breakfast at 9.25 to be told it was closed. It was completely empty with full platters still laid out. The girl seemed quite indifferent. We got in the lift and saw that it stated Rush Hour 9 am (?!) Last entry at 9.30. Disappointing. Apart from that we would definitely recommend the hotel as of a high standard. The beautifully designed interiors were quite lovely. We really enjoyed our stay.

I had an incredible stay at The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo. The flexibility and accommodating nature of the staff made everything so easy and stress-free. The facilities are absolutely amazing — modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The location is perfect — centrally located and close to shopping, restaurants, and transport options. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sapporo. I would definitely stay here again!
