They have male and female staff who were all super friendly and helpful and knew enough English to be able to help with whatever I needed. The best part about this hotel was the location, Ueno station is one of the major metro stations in Tokyo and it was a convenient 7 min walk. Area was safe, my girls and I would walk from the station back to our hotel after 10pm every day and it was no issue, nobody bats an eye everyone just wants to get home as much as you do. Highly recommend this area if you are coming from Narita airport because there is a train that takes you from Narita airport straight to Ueno and vice versa, it made life so much easier tickets were just $25 as opposed to a $65 taxi. The alleys right in front of Ueno station have great cheap food and close late. The room itself was nothing special but just enough. 7 eleven and Family mart (5 min away) were great for stocking on water bottles and snacks. Always felt safe in this hotel and area.

You do get what you pay for so the rooms weren't so clean. The bathroom curtain was yellow the toilet and the floor was dirty and the pillows had stains. As much of a germophobe as I am I had to suck it up because it could honestly be worse for the price and the convenience. Rooms are TINY but that is normal for Japan. No coin washing machines but their partner hotel (2 minute walk) had some available for use including detergent to buy and dryers. Also there is no ramp when walking into the lobby for the set of stairs.

The room was spacious and clean, I appreciated the sitting area and amenities provided. The location was great, only a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants around Ueno Station. The hotel provided comfortable pyjamas for adults (but not children). The buffet breakfast was excellent, and staff were kind and helpful.

Provision of an on-site coin laundry would be fantastic, but it was helpful that we could use the laundry at the nearby partner hotel. I'm not sure we got the best room rate as it seemed to be advertised cheaper after we checked in.

Walking distance from hotel to Ueno station, ( iriya gate is the closest i think , 10 - 15 min walking ). Breakfast was good. You can adjust flow of Air condition in room. Pajamas are available. Room service everyday. There are Microwave and ice making machine on the 4th floor. Elevator available. Drinking water you need to bring it yourself. Size of room is standard for Japan. Price with Breakfast is good. During walking to hotel you can see Tokyo sky tree. Amenities are filled in big bottles, shampoo, liquid soap, hair conditioner, hand and face foam.

It is between 2 stations - the very all-in-one Ueno Station and the subway Inaricho Station. The hotel is in walking distance to commercial centers, Atre, Ameyokocho, and is surrounded by many convenience stores and dining options. I love the amenities and the daily housekeeping service.

The room is very small. We have stayed at the other Hotel Mystays at the back of the hotel, ‘had bigger rooms albeit smaller facilities. This hotel is a good 15 minutes walk from Ueno Station. ‘Won’t mind in cool weather, but will be gruesome in the cold winter and summer.

Perfect location

Breakfast and soft mattress. We stay 8 nights and paid for breakfast. We stayed here many times before the covid time and really enjoyed breakfast buffet at that times. Things have changed, buffet breakfast turned to be a breakfast box and we have to select everyday. I have Japanese box set almost every morning ( they hv 8 sets to choose) bec other sets are not delicious. We recommend anyone to pay for room only and buy breakfast outside the hotel.

The location is very convenient. The room size is bigger than other hotels I stayed in Japan. 3 things I like the best: 1. The pillow is super comfort. I want to know where to buy this kind of pillow and buy one for myself. 2. There is a part in the mirror in bathroom that doesn't affect by steam. Wonder what they used to keep it that way. 3. Staff is very helpful. The safe doesn't work in our room, 2 staff came to help and solve the problem.

There are a lot of stairs in front of this hotel, so it's not convenient for customers with luggage. Wonder if they can design a handicapped path or elevator.

Front desk and breakfast room staff were always friendly and helpful. We arrived early and no problem leaving luggage. Good location just a few minutes walk to Inaricho subway station on Ginza line giving great access to everywhere. Breakfast simple choice of 5 set options, which were fine if you’re not too fussy and just want something to get off and running.

Tiny rooms, but totally expected this so not an issue. The neighbourhood isn’t buzzing but there are certainly enough amenities, eateries etc to get by.

Amiable front staff (I spoke in Japanese but they could speak English well- I overheard them with other guests); quiet area close to the tourist area Ueno (ten to fifteen minute walk which I don’t mind, or just a few minutes away from a metro station); smallish room which is the standard for a Japanese business hotel of this type (not an issue for us as we had no luggage and only a day trip bag); good price.

Could have been cleaned much much better (I did a quick clean myself of the bathroom on seeing dust and hairs in obvious and also hidden areas- it only requires a little more effort), that’s ok by me for at this price point…

Nice location! It is near Ueno station, which is convenient for me, who travels from Narita Airport using the Skyliner. The check-in was smooth. The trainee who served us did a great job. She explained things clearly, and there was no communication issue as well. Kudos to her! The room was nice. It was clean, tidy, and relatively spacey. I love the amenities, too! I like the way they provide some amenities in the lobby so that guests can choose what they need. Lastly, as a smoker, I really appreciate that they have a smoking area in the lobby. Overall, I got what I needed and had a great time in this hotel. This hotel is the first one in my trip and is beyond my expectations. It sets the high bar of what I would expect from the rest of the accommodations during the trip.

Since the AC is centralised, guests have no control over it.

I’ve 3 bookings of this hotel in this trip ( total 6 nights) . I’ll sum up in this review. - friendly and helpful staff, quick to solve problem, did not hesitate to talk to guests who didn’t have good manner ( playing loud music at late night) -understand English -Good location -very comfortable bed and pillows -reasonable price -can keep luggages for many night for free as long as you have next booking here ( pls check with the hotel first, I don’t know the maximum days they’ll allow)

- in the Queen-bed rooms I stayed 21-22/2 and 26-28/2, the curtain in bathroom had bad smell. Twin rooms have no problem. -had to carry luggages over stairs at the front of the hotel ( no slope) . it’s just a few step but it’d be nicer if there’s a slope. - had to carry laundry to the adjacent hotel , would be nice if the hotel has its own laundry room.
