The location of this hotel is excellent for the sights and more than we could have wished for in a short stay so everything was easily accessible . It is a 20 minute walk from the train station. Our room had a balcony , it was front facing , it was was spatious and we had a view of the leaning tower from the balcony . Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the historical sight and surrounded by excellent restaurants and a mini mart . What the hotel lacks in modern decor and facilities it makes up for in location, genuinely friendly helpful front desk staff . Breakfast was included and the buffet was plentiful with fresh food , the value for money is excellent . Lorenzo at the front desk was really helpful recommending eateries and sights to see and took time to mark maps, engage us in conversation on sights to see, excellent hospitality and very welcoming .

The decor is old and worn. It adds to the character of the hotel, it's a 3 star but great value for money and we found a great welcome from good staff.

Perfect location moments walk from the leaning tower, Duomo and other historic monuments. 15 min gentle stroll over the river to the main shopping area Directly outside the hotel on the pedestrian street via santa maria, there are so many restaurants, 2 small supermarkets, ice cream shops, and a bakery. We had room 215, and although it was at the front of the hotel ( street side), it was so quiet at night. Roof top terrace, restaurant, and bar , Was beautiful....what a view of the tower and Duomo, so lovely at sunset . Good breakfast, small section of hot food but more croissants, pastry and cold meats... all lovely and fresh. Also had cereal, fresh fruit yoghurt, etc. All really friendy staff throughout our 3 day stay, Smallish room but really comfortable bed , nice linen and towels great aircon much needed in July!! 10/10

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Grand Hotel Duomo in Pisa. The location is simply unbeatable—just a short walk from the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa and Duomo Square. Waking up to the charm of this historic city and being able to explore its treasures within minutes. The hotel staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. From the moment we checked in, they ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was assistance with directions or arranging transportation, they went above and beyond to make our visit seamless. The rooftop terrace was a standout feature, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Pisa. If you're looking for a stay that places you right in the heart of Pisa with easy access to its most famous landmarks, Grand Hotel Duomo is a fantastic choice!

The hotel was perfectly located 2 minutes from the Pisa Tower. Typical rustic Italian feel to it which was lovely. Roof top bar with amazing views. Breakfast was good with an ample range to choose from. Very friendly, helpful staff. Outside on the hotel there was an array of cafes and restaurants, two supermarkets and plenty of other shops. Approximately 20 minute walk from the train station. Great place to use as a base to travel around by train. We stayed in a very basic economy room which suited us perfectly.

Everything! From the friendly, helpful staff, to the excellent location to the room with a view of the Tower to the breakfast to cleanliness of the room. Highly recommend and I will certainly be returning.

The booking.com website was hacked prior to my visit and the hackers, masquerading as hotel staff, asked for my payment details. Fortunately, I called the hotel to check. An email from the hotel could have helped clarify the situation. However, this is a problem with booking.com. I recommend booking directly with the hotel.

Our stay with Grand Hotel Duomo was fantastic! Spacious room, 24/7 check in (we checked in at 1am with the lovely overnight attendant) had a nice stay in our spacious room with a very nice bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was good, and the view of the tower from the window was truly picture perfect, not to mention that the tower was a 100m walk from the front door. Even after check out, having access to water and a clean restroom was fantastic, and being able to easily leave our bags with the team was convenient & secure. Would 100% recommend these guys for anyone visiting Pisa.

Location From train station to hotel and walking distance to leaning tower. Breakfast is amazing. Customer service is great. My third time staying here. Highly recommend. Price: Check their price on a daily basis until you get the price you are looking for . Also, always ask for a window balcony. I was in luck they changed my room upon check-in. Got the best view, and streets get quiet around 10 pm.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a large family group checking in together and it was in the morning time as well, and they sorted us out quickly and efficiently with all rooms being ready for us. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. Just a short walk from the Leaning Tower with restaurants and shops right outside the front door. The skybar was fabulous with superb views of sunset and the Tower.

The best place to stay in Pisa. It’s located right in the city center—so close to the Leaning Tower that it feels like you’re right there as soon as you get out of bed. The location is unbeatable. In addition, the hotel has a wonderful terrace with beautiful views of the city and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The breakfast is excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. While it’s not a modern hotel, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and features a charming historical touch. I would definitely stay there again.
