Nice room, comfortable bed, great staff, room had a kettle as well as a coffee maker so I could get a decent cup of tea; also fridge and microwave, which meant that lack of included breakfast wasn't a problem. Attached restaurants gave discount to hotel guests. Enjoyed my stay here.

Location was a little further from the waterfront and Skytrain than I really wanted. The charging points in my room didn't work. Aircon effective but fan settings seemed to be 'hurricane,' 'gale' and 'off.' Like almost every other hotel room I stayed in on my trip, no main room light, just lots of small ones - but unlike some, there were enough to get a decent light level.

Good location near shore and on trolley bus routes. Quite close to skytrain. Spot restaurant on the ground floor with unlimited 20 per cent off vouchers from the hotel very acceptable and good value. Good bathroom with well lit (at last) mirror for shaving. Acceptable standard of en-suite room

Rather dark room with very heavy curtains on two sides of the room. I needed much more light at times, e.g. when packing. Not keen on the 'wooden' floor. Carpet would have been more comfortable. Very expensive by my standards, but that seems to be the Vancouver price level for a decent en-suite room. Common areas look a little tired..

We liked the gym, room space was good. Room had a fridge and microwave which was handy even though we didnt use the microwave. Shower was great, hot water pressure was good. Wifi was good too- no issues there. Service staff is great, really polite and friendly. One of the staff offered to switch our rooms as the toilet extractor fan wouldn’t switch off but we managed to turn it off by switching the dial to ‘on’ which was odd but it did the trick. Location was great too, so close go granville, yaletown and quick bus to Gastown.

Extractor fan in the toilet couldn’t switch off at one point, it was very fiddly. One power socket beside the bed wasnt working but thankfully the other one did. Tv/ tv controller didn’t work. We watched netflix on our phones anyway. Heating turned on and off but the temperature overall was fine and we were comfortable. Overall value for money and we understand it’s an old building.

This is a great place to stay given its value for money and incredible location. Just 500m from a skytrain station and within 2kms walk of most places of interest it is an excellent base- no car needed. It was just a 10 minute walk and 20 minute train ride to the airport for just $4! The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms themselves are dated but have good hot showers and comfortable beds. The top floor has a guest sauna and spa, laundry (but only 1 washer and 1 dryer) and a very well fitted out kitchen with two large ovens and cooktops, and 2 large fridges for guests to use. There are tables and chairs inside and outside to watch the sunset while eating dinner. I’ve stayed in Vancouver a lot and this is one of the best for price and location.

Could use a refresh on rooms- they are a little dated.

Attentive and responsive staff. Common area kitchen and lounge were a plus. Great location. Carlos was excellent in addressing our issues and worked to come up with a solution that worked well for us. We truly appreciated this attention and professionalism in meeting our needs and making our stay pleasant. He is an asset to the property.

Housekeeping only every 3 days. Really not reliable timing, either. Some age shows in the elevators, hallways. Lack of working hot tub for patrons. Area has some road work which was somewhat problematic for walkers.

Convenient location for VGH, cleanliness, friendly staff.

Cost for parking was exhorbitant

Rooms had lots of space. The penthouse kitchen/lounge area is a great idea. Very spacious and clean. The food at the Whitespot Restaurant in Lobby was really good with quick, friendly service. I was given a choice of two rooms on different floors and really appreciated that.

Checking into the hotel was a bit of a process due to lack of street parking. Only a few parking spots available and all were being taken up by skip the dishes and taxis. A local decided to yell at my husband while he waited outside in car incase it needed to be moved while I got room key so we could park in underground parking. Parking was very expensive!! It is the most I have ever had to pay for parking in 40 years.

Checking in was quick and the staff was pleasant and professional. Our room was clean and quiet. One of the windows overlooked the street, as a result the room felt bright and airy. The microwave and small refrigerator worked as they should. The bed was comfortable and the climate control worked well. The room safe was easy to use. The hotel is centrally located and close to transit. We loved the rooftop patio!

Vancouver is a metropolitan area, so there are street people in the area of the hotel. Not the fault of the hotel, we felt very safe and secure. Unfortunately, guests of the hotel use the rooftop patio to smoke even though it’s not permitted.
