Location is excellent in CBD. Good security. The room had everything required for a pleasant stay.

Could be noisy sometimes late at night with street noise from disordily oublic on street below.

The staff were very helpful, the room was small but the bed was amazing. The location was perfect, just walking around the block you have almost everything you need. The SkyDrive bus to and from the Sky Tower to the Airport was a short walk away.

The only thing I didn't love during my visit was the situation with the wifi. Though you do have free wifi, you have to enter codes which expire 1-2 hours after using it. Asking for more codes at the front desk is free and they do supply you with them, however there were multiple times where I would be calling a family member or friend and having the call hang up due to the code expiring. That being said, I would happily visit again.

We need to use room key to use the lift but the lift card holder were quite loose so sometimes it fell off or sometimes lift card machine couldn’t recognize our key so we couldn’t press our floor button. I had to try several times so the lift machine can recognize our room key We arrived a bit early and when we arrived hotel, there was no greeting and even when I approach to the reception the male staff was just looking at me saying nothing. I know it’s a budget hotel but it will be better if he can greet to customer.

Great value for money!!! The room was small but as I was travelling alone, it was perfect. I really appreciate ensuite bathroom which is not that common for this price. Also - the balcony!!! This is priceless as nowadays in budget city hotels you can barely open the window! Bless!!! Perfect location, really clean and lovely staff.

Zero room to put clothes or personal belongings. I’m not counting a tiny space with a few hangers, ironing board, spare pillows and an electric board bc it was so filled with stuff that nothing more would fit. Basically your stuff has to stay in the suitcase, on the floor. Not sure how this can be managed when there are more people in the room as the space is really small…

I read several comments on the website, some of which were quite negative. About inconveniences such as that the room was cramped. So let me balance that a bit with the wonderful experience I had. I had taken the airport shuttle, and when I entered the reception area and when I wanted to retrieve my passport I discovered that I had lost it on the way from the airport. The concierge apparently noticed my panic. When I told him that I was from the Netherlands, he said “No worries, we have a Dutch embassy in Auckland.” Probably seeing my cold sweats break out, he said “take a deep breath”. Then he helped me reconstruct what might have happened. I had put my backpack in back of the shuttle (which is rare because I always keep my backpack with me, which over the years has become part of my anatomy). He first called the shuttle company to see if they had found my passport. To no avail. Then in silence he made a several phone calls. Eventually he told me that the passport had been delivered at the nearest police station. I wanted to call a cab, but he advised to take an Uber instead. This was my first Uber ride, so he helped me install the app and order transportation. At the police station I was let in right away, apparently having recognized me from the picture in my passport. The woman at the desk connected me to her own wifi since having just entered the country I did not yet have GPS. So kudos to everyone who helped me with my stay in Auckland. But above all, let me reiterate the exemplary help from the receptionist at the Ibis hotel, who presented himself as Brian. A minor point compared to this. I had reserved a breakfast. For this I received a voucher for a really nice breakfast cafe, a few minutes walk from the hotel. The breakfast was splendid and good value for money.

Location is ideal: in the middle of the city with public transport options very close by. Parking garage was easy to find and had plenty of spaces. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and bed was cosy.

Shower and bathroom are quite close together, so the bathroom floor gets quite wet and slippery after a shower. Additionally, some cuttlery and plates in the room would be nice, but not a must.

We love that it was very close to the main street. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets are just around the corner. Very convenient location for a good price. At the beginning we were in a room without kitchen and since we needed one, the staff solved our needs and changed our room. They provided us with everything we needed to cook without any problem.

If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay an extra amount. We were really tired after an 18-hour journey and we had to wait 6 hours more. However, they were willing to keep our bags until check in time. The room was very small but it has everything you need for a couple of days. It is okay for a couple or a solo traveller.

Staff members when I checked in were fast and friendly. I loved my room it was clean and spacious enough bed was clean and bed sheets were clean and Bathroom was also clean. Location of the hotel was good as i was near the Chemist a store that I frequent during my stay and everything was within walking distance so i enjoyed that.

My stay was pleasant and I enjoyed myself staff were friendly and helpful and everything else was nice and clean, I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in my future travels.

We got a twin room , it had a window overlooking the street. It was very small but had everything we need. The beds were comfortable and the room had a fan which we needed as it was hot. The location is perfect for the city, one of the best for central and it's excellent value too.

The bathroom has a toilet very close to the shower so very small bathroom with shower curtain, wasn't keen on this but it was all very clean at least. The noise outside from the street can be really loud to all hours because of a bar nearby outside we heard screaming drunk people every night.

Rooms were very plain and simple, but also very clean. Perfect for an overnighter when all you want to do if have somewhere to sleep and get ready for your next day out. Comfy bed.

Noisy! Woke many times during the night, disturbance from the party go-ers at the downtown pubs and the glass recycling collections in the early hours of the morning, but hey... what do you expect from a downtown location?
