The staff here were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and it looks like they have recently renovated the building. Fantastic location on chulia street, near restaurants, cafes and the night markets. We walked basically everywhere.

The shower was above the toilet which we were not used to, so the bathroom became a wet room whenever anyone had a shower. The room is not the most spacious.

Location was fabulous, close to great restaurants and bars Little India, China town and the Jettys. All walking distance. We did a Grab to Batu Ferringhi 1 day which was also easy. Loved Penang Street Art which was all through GT. Laundromat over the road, Money changers close by. We enjoyed sitting in the foyer for afternoon drinks

The rooms have internal windows which let the hallway light in at night. The room was quite bright when trying to sleep. They had an information sheet stating that you would be charged for damage to sheets, and furniture. We are regular travellers and treat hotels as if they were our own home and have never seen this. It made us a bit nervous of making any mess. I think the henna tattoostarins are the main issue.

Location is perfect for walking distance to places of interests, night hawker stalls, great bars and cafes. Nearby streets are busy with tourists at night, especially during year end holidays. Staff are helpful and friendly (look for Ms. Goh for Travel tips). Room is clean and equipped with air filter, AC and water pressure are great. Although it’s located along a popular street, it is not facing the busy road, so no noise pollution.

The bathroom is abit small even for Asians. There isn’t a shower cubicle / curtains to prevent the entire bathroom from getting wet although the floor dried up quickly.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Georgetown UNESCO Heritage site and surrounded by many interesting places and numerous varieties of foods. The room is clean with a comfortable bed though it could have been better with the shower system.

The WiFi signal is very weak in the rooms, but very fast and strong at the reception area. More WiFi routers are highly recommended.

Superb location to walk everywhere for food be it local and western food, entertainment and sight seeing. Clean, nice and the colonial building making it very good for ootd. Hospitality was great especially Nurul and the security guards. Parking is available

May I suggest if the hotel could install a mirror in the room 🙏. There is only 1 mirror which is in the bathroom. Another person won't be able to use when there is someone using the bathroom 🙏.

The hotel room was prepared well, along with its facilities. It's also located on the same street where night activities are happening, so lots of stuff to do at night. Besides that, they provide parking spaces for those that have their own transport.

There was a metallic smell emanated in the room whenever the room was left empty while we were outside. That was the only thing we found uncomfortable

The rooms were very comfortable and clean .I would definitely recommend the Chulia heritage Hotel on Chulia Street. I really like the idea that the money coming into the hotel will help fund the restoration upstairs. I would love to go back and stay again . Hopefully there will be deluxe rooms available.

I think it would be a good idea and necessary for all of the rooms to have a fridge to keep drinks cold ,we had 2 standard rooms plus 1 deluxe as we were a family party ,when i booked there was only 1 deluxe available. we had to share the fridge in my sisters room .

Location is fabulous right near to all Heritage attractions. Clean rooms with white bedding and lovely towels make all the difference. Always stay here if possible when we visit Penang

Hot communal area however it did have small air con units for a little respite from the heat. Would love a fridge in the room

My husband and I loved this area and its walking distance to most of the city attractions! The staff was friendly and helpful as we arrived hotel at midnight and left the hotel early morning. The hotel is well-maintained, clean and comfortable to stay. The nearest locations to walk around include Family Mart, Hameediyah Nasi Kandar, MyDin, Nasi Kandar Line Clear etc.

The room is quite small but it's fine for a short stay.
