This is a neat new hotel across the road from the E&O. There are a couple of interesting eateries behind the hotel. Everything is sparkly clean and fresh. There are lots of places to hang out for work in the lobby and a chill area on each floor. There is also a kitchen sink and dining area on each floor where you can sit to eat and wash up afterwards. I didn't use the WiFi as I used my phone Really liked that it has Netflix and you can sign into your own account. There is also a self service launderette on the premises if you need to do laundry. The area is quite centrally located. GRAB is easy to get but if you are in the mood to walk the main tourist area is about 30 mins walk away. The rooms are cosy and compact. Bed very comfortable. Best of all there is instant hot water in the shower so you don't need to stand there waiting for it to heat up. Breakfast is.a set menu of 3 things with coffee/ tea but if you want a latte or fancy coffee you need to pay more. I appreciate the lack of wastage.

The pool is on the second floor and doesn't get direct sun. It's not very big. Having to pay extra for latte etc at breakfast.

Drainage in bathroom was bad and it always flooded the shower area when we showered. But small issue, hotel should be able to fix it

Very good stay at Lyf. Good location. Can walk to street food. Hotel design very modern, and bed is comfortable. My English not very good but staff friendly and like to help.   Breakfast serve at Mojojo or something. Next to hotel. They serve set menu, very nice taste & simple. Staff also friendly. Will recommend and come back.

No Japanese food nearby. But will opening soon.

Friendly Front Desk Staff, Hotel is clean and bed is very comfortbale. 24 hours Gym and beautiful swimming pool. Very convenient as walking distance to Chulia Street and Kimberley street with my families.

I really didn't like the fact that the room window looked out into a courtyard and into another room directly opposite, and very close. Also the rooms opposite on the floor above could look directly into our room. For privacy in the room the blind had to be kept down which meant the room felt claustrophobic and the light had to left on. I would recommend either putting net curtains on the windows or fixing an obscure covering on them that would allow light in but obscure other people from looking straight in at you. I wouldn't stay there again unless this issue was attended to. And that's a pity as otherwise everything else was grand.

The concept and vibrant colour of the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Firm and comfy bed with large flat screen Smart TV that can connect to Netflix. Strategic location.

The hotel is located at a very good location where the access to everywhere is easy and convenient. The hotel is also equipped with a pantry, an ice maker and a water dispenser (which is great for the heat after an outing!!)

The parking around the hotel is a privately owned and hence, parking is chargeable. However, the charging system for the parking is not very friendly, you will need to validate every time you exit as compared to validating it only for the first time. The breakfast offered is the same everyday with only 4 items on the menu. Slightly overpriced for the ingredients used. If you stayed longer and opted for the breakfast package, you are probably better off without the breakfast offer and head out to try better food options (subject personal preference).

The hotel opened only 1 month before our stay. Still, the service was excellent, very professional, and well coordinated from check-in to check-out. The team is exceptionally friendly and helpful. All facilities are brand new and very stylish. Every single corner of the hotel is truly Instagramable and invites to stay, connect, rewind, and/or focus. The hotel provides a swimming pool, well-equipped gym, several rooms for focused work, a community kitchen, chill out areas, and a restaurant. In addition, the team offers various workshops and other activities that make the stay memorable. The hotel is very well located. We explored all main sightseeing spots by feet. The additional tips of the hotel team definitely helped and gave us inspiration what to see and where to eat. All facilities are very clean and upon request the room was cleaned every day. We felt very welcomed and cozy in the hotel. Therefore, we extended our stay by one night and also changed our hotel booking for Kuala Lumpur to stay at Lyf. We would always come back and recommend it to our friends.

The breakfast options are very limited. There is one vegetarian option, one local dish and one Western. We ended up eating every day the same, which was tasty, but still boring after a while. Moreover, the internet in the room could have been faster. Acknowledging the efforts for more sustainability, we would have preferred bottled water in the room. The room size is rather small and more suitable for young couples than families.

Front desk / concierge - Friendly, courteous, seamless check in/check out. Do fill in their pre-check in emails to make it extra fast. The ambience and deco of lobby is very beautiful & spacious. 4. Rooms - Comfy beds, bathroom ok, all good 5. Price - for this premium location, we paid a good deal! very affordable [$] They have laundry room & kitchen [get plates, bowls there] Each floor there's access to filter water & microwave to reheat food. also sinks to wash cutleries We did not try their breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel for tourists - locals or foreigners Welcome to Penang & Lyf !
