The beddings, bed linens, firm beds & pillows are clean and comfortable. Location is excellent ( except it's too nearby the road for fetching and disembarking transportation a little hassled. Otherwise the location itself is 10/10.

Since it's too near the road,it's very noisy at times with cars honking or nite pedestrians or cars owners coming to get their car ,and some could be drunk. Am not sure if there are sound proof improvements that can be looked into. Further and in addition,the (a privately) owned nite karaoke n food centre adjacent to the hotel must NOT be allowed to operate after midnight hours. Disturbing the peace & quiet of guests. As far as what's within the Southern Boutique Hotel management's control,they have although; not perfect done a reasonably good job.

The room is cozy, comfortable and clean.

The room was a little smelly.

I wanted to experience staying in a heritage hotel and Southern Boutique fit it well. Put us back in time. And very good location just off Penang Road. Very near to all the food and conveniences. Value for money. I would choose again. IN Penang we are spoilt for choice actually.

What we paid i think was very good value. Location was excellent, Very clean and very low density no of room. So comfortable and personel service.

We loved the location, it was walking distance to most of the restaurants we wanted to try. The shower had amazing pressure. We were in room 201 and it wasn’t as loud as we thought it would be after reading all the reviews. We slept through the night no problem with foam ear plugs. The cleaning ladies were great. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating of our requests.

The tv didn’t work, the duvet was a bit small for the bed.

The Location is near strategic in town, near nasi kandar line clear, chowrasta market, ais tingkap, roti canai transfer road and sup hameed. A lot of convenient store nearby and mosque.

Parking was so limited, hopefully hotel management can reserve a few parking for their customer or cooperate with parking company near the hotel for customer hotel to pay for special rate / flat rate . Hotel Location suitable for those travel using grab.

Room: Excellent even if it's quite small but just nice for the 2 of us. We are staying at room 103 Location: The location is very strategic, with a lot of food to be enjoyed and just a walk distance only.

The only problem is parking, maybe the management could plan something for the hotel guest parking.

The staff were helpful friendly and professional. The room was comfortable and spacious. I liked the French doors opening onto the veranda. The location was quiet but literally around the corner from a lively night food market.

Near town

Abit noisy at night but they do provide you earplug which is a plus

1.The location of the hotel is very central and was perfect for us. The room was very comfortable and cozy. Although the room (#101) was at road level and next to the road, we were not disturbed by the sound of passing vehicles. 2.Your staff, Sharul Nizam Amran was extremely helpful and his mannerrism, friendliness and overall reception towards us as guest was so wonderful. Having a staff such as him is such an asset to your establishment. He added value to our stay at your hotel. The other staffs should emulate Shah in handling guest , in fact Shah should be given the chance to train the others in handling guest at the frontdesk.

Only one issue we had in the room which can be easily resolved... the room had no mirror! We had to struggle to get ready as we were all women. Please place a large mirror in the room to make the room perfect. Thank you.
