My family and I travelled down to Parua Bay for the weekend for a sporting event. Kauri Villas was in close proximity to our venue and a beautiful home away from home. Warm, friendly and inviting is how I would describe Andrea and Mike. We stayed in the Kohinui Cottage and it exceeded our expectations. Warm and cosy and a perfect fit for our family of 4 (2 x adults and 2 small children) A real highlight was the pool and the games room which our 6yr old loved. The surrounding area and views that Kauri Villas sit on are also exceptionally breathtaking. We look forward to coming back to this beautiful spot of Parua Bay and thank Andrea and Mike for their hospitality and kindness.

Such a comfortable, peaceful place to stay that has all the basics covered plus just a touch of luxury to remind you that you’re on vacation. We stayed in a 2-bed cottage that had very comfortable furniture, nice linens, refreshing showers, plenty of kitchen items, and thoughtful touches like some cooking basics and lovely robes. Kind and available hosts. Close to some fantastic views, beaches, and hikes, but also not too far from some small local dining options, post, and grocery. A highlight of our trip and we hope to be back!

Where do I start. The hosts were lovely..! The Villa exceeded our expectations. Beyond Instagram worthy to say the least. The weather was spectacular so we got beautiful views while BBQing by the pool. We booked this accommodation for my sons 4th birthday and he was in heaven the entire time. There were manicured gardens, stunning views , even chickens and sheep and a hiking trail on site. So much space and things to do to make any 4 year old boy feel like he was living his best life. We were smiling the whole time because we appreciated the peace and quiet and the beauty around us. I also had 2 teenagers, 16 and 17. Kauri Villas even catered to their needs with the coolest games room equipped with cool lighting and a huge Christmas tree.. The teenagers hardly left the area because it had everything they could want from Pool table, Table tennis and darts, to board games, gaming consoles and just a great space to chill, talk and vibe out. We loved the cottage, The space was perfect, it had everything you needed. Comfiest beds, spacious showers, views, great lighting, strong wifi connection. Felt like home. They Even had a lovely Christmas tree up! But that's not all, we were 3mins from the local shops which were not overpriced at all, Few mins to Onerahi for food top ups and we had several fun visits to the bay just mins away where you will find spacious platforms located under or around trees to sit on and enjoy a pizza while boat watching and taking in the beautiful scenery. There were even people with their fishing lines casted out from the shoreline. Very Kiwi like. I can't imagine not keeping Kauri Villas as our family's favourite place to visit. We will definitely be back, But this time we will be staying a little longer. Thank you to our Hosts and their daughters for having us and for the Spiderman book for my son's Spider man themed birthday. We had a memorable visit. One I will always cherish.

Awesome place, we will definitely be back! The spa and pool are great, on a clear night you can lie in the spa and gaze at the stars! The accommodation is very well set up with everything you can imagine needing and more plus an awesome games room with pool table, football table and lots of other games. Plus there is beautiful lighting everywhere. The owners are so lovely and helpful.

There are so many good things to say about the Kauri Villas. In a nutshell, it is the “SAME” choice I would take next time and recommend to others. By same, I mean the following: “Scenery” is by far the most beautiful one we came across in New Zealand; Mike and Andrea were super “Accommodating” hosts, which made our stay so pleasant; “Maintenance” of the property and facilities(pool, game room/barn, jacuzzi) was very nicely done👏🏼(you can tell the hosts put their heart not just money into it); “Everything-in-one” kind of stay where everyone can find something they like to do on the property (we were with a 4 year old, 2 30 somethings and 2 pensioners). We look forward to staying again.

The location was stunning. The cottage I stayed in was extremely comfortable and clean. The facilities were amazing, I particularly enjoyed the pool and the spa. The hosts Mike and Andrea were so lovely and welcoming. I can't wait to stay there again!

There was nothing that could have been any better, except for the weather when I wanted to go into the pool, but unfortunately we can't change the weather.

We made our own breakfast. The facilities were excellent, we had a fantastic stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great, nothing else was needed, it was all there and more.. We would definitely book again, and I highly recommend this to anyone. There was a bush walk with amazing Kauris on the property too, the games room and spa pool were also outstanding and it made for a fun environment.

Everything about the property is amazing. Great views. Superb hosts. Awesome games room. Swimming pool and spa.

The room (kingfisher cottage) is attached to another cottage and if your neighbours are noisy (ours had kids), you can hear them all the time. Couldn't really sleep in in the morning due to that.

From the moment we arrived when Andrea greeted us to the time we sadly had to leave we felt so welcome as if we were long missed friends. Andrea and Mike have a beautiful characterful home set in fantastic grounds offering peace and tranquility. The views as you have breakfast, lovingly and masterfully created by Mike are stunning. We stayed in a self contained chalet in the glorious grounds of Kauri Villas. The space was clean, well equipped and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with masses of choice, the eggs were provided by the hens on site and were yummy! Mike and Andrea are delightful hosts who clearly care about their guests comfort. Everything was top quality and we loved our stay at Kauri villas.

Highly rate this accomodation and the hosts. Absolutely beautiful location and facilities. Had the perfect weekend away and can’t wait to visit again. Everything was perfect from the views to the villa couldn’t have asked for more.
