I like the location, which is a little bit out of the Town centre but so easy to get there, either by walking or by bus. Besides, the friendly staff made us feel welcome. Third, the room is very clean and comfortable with the facilities of spa pool, sauna and swimming pool. When we need to be away for Kepler track, the hotel happily kept our luggage there for 4 days. Anyway always have great experiences here.
Since the ownership changed, the finance system seems not working very well compared to the previous experiences. The check-in process is pretty long and inconsistent. There is something called "damage charge" of $5 (not sure what it is for really), which does not make sense to me. Besides, while we wanted to pay by EFPOS to avoid surcharge, it seemed a bit surprising to the staff (twice, the reception staff even don't know by themselves it can be paid by EFPOS). hope the check-in process can be more streamlined and the same efficient as before.

Check in with Xuan (I believe that was the spelling) was amazing, they were super friendly and super helpful with telling us about the local amenities of the hotel. As someone who works at a hotel themselves, I do like to take note on how other staff greet guests, Xuan was a prime example. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were a good size.
Internet was quite bad some nights, it would connect and then just not load anything, i called reception and they told me to just turn off my phone or forget the network, didn’t help. I believe the shower may have been leaking as every time we took a shower there would be a huge puddle all over the floor.

Beautiful location and the short walk into town was amazing! I’d never get tired of it…although walking back..uphill, a little tiring 🤣
I informed the hotel that I would arrive late and it was 1oC outside, so I was very annoyed to find they had left the aircon on COLD…in our room and it took a while for us to warm up. Not one single USB port in the room and you cannot switch off the main lights from the bedside. No chance to have the overhead bed lights on, just the dim bedside lights..so it’s all or nothing! The lamp on the table was difficult to switch on..apparently there is a knack to it and I couldn’t do it! I left a wet towel over the bath and it was still there after room cleaning service came and went…so I wasn’t impressed. Lift wasn’t working but staff helped..however, the works to fix it were noisy.

Clean, decent size, was next to a waterfall so it was nice on the balcony in the mornings.
Didn't like the kitchenette and kettle in a closet. But great room and size

The hotel is beautiful and the staff, on the whole, are very friendly and helpful.
We had a situation which was very disruptive, there was a wedding on Saturday night and the function room is adjacent to the room we were in (L208), during the evening and in to the night, the professional photographer, and the guests, used the balcony which was immediately beside our bedroom window, for photographs and general socialising, and it was extremely noisy and disturbing. I phoned reception to ask how long the wedding was due to go on and was told, 'it's ok it is finished at 11.30'.. Whilst I have no problem with people enjoying themselves at a wedding, some sort of acknowledge that we had an extremely uncomfortable evening would have been appreciated, indeed, right up to, and throughout check out, no member of staff even mentioned the fact that we had reported a concern.

It had everything I needed for a short stay. The standouts were the superb breakfast, great value and much more enjoyable than a long queue for a pie at the bakery. The staff were also friendly without being pushy. I was impressed that the GM came up to me at breakfast to ask how I was enjoying my stay. That doesn't happen often, and I really appreciate it. The facilities were great too, although I didn't make full use of them. Powerful shower, handy guest laundry, jug to make morning coffee, and a fridge for wine. The bathrobe was a nice touch and would have been useful if I'd used the hot tub.
No complaints.

For the price (we went in off season) this is a great choice for Queenstown. Close to town, about 15-20 mins walk down the hill and along the water, so it's in easy reach but still quiet and peaceful. We had a forest view room, but you can enjoy the stunning view of the lake from the top of the hill. The staff were lovely and accommodating. Nice to have a sauna and jacuzzi after a long day of walking/driving. Bed was super comfortable and powerful aircon/heating much appreciated.
As others have said, it's a bit dated, not so much the common areas but the rooms/bathroom. Perfectly serviceable though and we weren't there to stay in a hotel room all day. I would say the parking is a bit expensive - i agree with charging during peak season, but when the carpark is half empty it should be cheaper/free and just on a first come/first served basis. We also felt the food from the restaurant as room service was overpriced for what it was. Gym was a bit outdated and the jacuzzi was unavailable a fair amount due to cleaning. Others who have commented that the pool was cold - it's outdoor, what do you expect? All in all i think you get what you pay for with this hotel.

Close to Queenstown and the lake. Easy walk down the hill to town.
Could do with reading lights above the beds. One switch controlling all lights was not practical for 3 guests. Lamp was not bright enough to read by. Another mirror near desk would also be great for when doing hair/makeup. Uphill walk back to hotel would be hard for the not so physically fit. Shuttle service to and from Town centre would be great. PowerPoints on the floor next to bed too low For phone charger pack. Only one side of bed had a bedside table. Breakfast was good but costly.

The view of The Remarkable Mountain Range is awesome for a lakeside room. The room is very spacious and the balcony can let you enjoy the paradise landscape from sunrise to mid-night. I took the galaxy photo just at the room balcony and it is stunning. They even offer free of charge outdoor hot onsen and swimming pool. Underground Carparking charged at 15dollar a day is reasonable.
It could be more veg choice at their breakfast offer. Too many sweet treat options but not much of vegetable choice. It is a bit away from town centre around 12-20minute walk plus a steep slope to challenge.

The beds were comfortable,.the room had some room to park your suitcade. A laundrette in the carpark. Although Perhaps should have been free for the price of the atay. The rooms were quiet. The cleaning ladies never missed a morning to service our room. They always restocked any bathroom products.
We have stayed 10 years ago, but finding the facilities are washed out and need an update. The breakfast was average, not the best quality. The dinner menu quite overpriced. Overall, there are so many places to stay that are newer and can choose elsewhere for the same money.ill be honest and will stay elsewhere.
