The location on the lake with the mountain backdrop and a short walk into town was perfect. The pricing of the accommodation offered excellent value for money. The room was spacious with a king bed and a queen bed. A small kitchenette was useful for making breakfasts and the separate bathroom had a great shower. Two small heaters were more than enough to heat the room as well as electric blankets. We were never cold and the room was not draughty. Having read the reviews before we went we thought we were going to be cold and that the room was going to be noisy. Obviously being on the main road into town there is some traffic noise but this was barely noticeable and we both sleep with earplugs anyway. There was also minimal noise from the adjacent rooms. Yes the decor and kitchenette is a little dated but the room and bedding was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom had been updated but wasn’t modern, yet completely functional. The office staff were pleasant and helpful. We were supplied clean towels daily. Due to the fairly harsh reviews and the actual reality of our experience, the accomodation exceeded our expectations. Overall it offered us exactly what we wanted. A short walk into town, good value for money, outstanding views, warmth, comfort and a kitchenette so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal over 6 days.

Location, location, location. The magnificent view! The main reason we booked this accommodation was the location, directly opposite the lake. The view was wonderful! Just make sure, as we did, to book a room on at least the first floor as there is a road right in front of the motel between you and the foreshore and view. Cars were always parked there. It was an easy stroll along the lake to everything we needed: Steamer Wharves and all its eateries, the central shopping precinct, tourist information centres. This really enhanced our stay. The bedroom was appealing, clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and roomy though the vanity had a large crack in it. Bedding and towels were white, crisp and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was not cheap to stay there but very good value for money given the location and how expensive everything else was. Free parking was also available, and really essential given the location. We would definitely stay there again.

The kitchenette which was the entry point for the accommodation was very outdated, dingy and uninviting. It did not look like the kitchenette in the photos. We chose not to cook anything. There was a kettle and toaster which were the only things we used. This did not make a good first impression. The parking area was a good size but in need of some serious resurfacing. The vanity top in the bathroom was cracked. As long as we didn't look at the kitchenette, we were happy.

The location was fabulous. A 2 min walk into Steamer Wharf and the city. A great flat walk along the lakeside right across the road. Views from our unit across the lake and mountains were ever changing. The size of the lounge, balcony and bedrooms were great for a family.

The unit needs a good spring clean. Window frames and bathroom trim were dirty. The lack of powerpoints in the lounge and bedroom was annoying. Anyone wanting to plug in an electric blanket would have to lay the cord across the carpet walkway. Very dangerous! The wall light in the main bedroom kept flicking off and the flicked on at 2am. Only one powerpoint in the kitchen worked so swapping for toaster, kettle and microwave was necessary. We would stay here again as the excellent location would outweigh these inconveniences.

The location of the motel is fantastic, an easy walk into the centre & boardwalk. The staff were friendly & helpful. Our room was a good size with a balcony a great view of the lake which was great for an evening wine & morning coffee. The bed & pillows were very comfortable & towels were soft & fluffy. The kitchen was dated, musty & needed a really good clean. We didn't use it as it just felt dirty. The bathroom was a little more modern but again needed a good clean. Due to the location & price I would stay here again.

Location was amazing short walk into town , bus stop to airport a few steps away. Cleaning staff left clean towels etc every day, took rubbish also . Felt very safe here even though entry is around the back . Noise from the road didn't bother me to much , just closed the balcony door . No sandflies to speak of at all even though there were no screens 🪰 Bed / Pillows were so comfy 🩷 All up I enjoyed my time at Lakeside Motel 😎

The property is in front of the lake which is perfect. It is also very near the central city around 3-5 minutes walk. The room is also very spacious and well equipped. There is a refrigerator, microwave oven, cooking range, dinnerware, dishwashing liquid etc. For the bed, they also have a heating pad which was great during winter. I didn’t drive but I saw that there is a parking and it is also near a bus stop where you can ride to the airport. Reception was also friendly and accommodating.

The location was very good, next to the lake access, nice view of mountain & the houses on the mountain. Car park option was there for off-street parking & within the compound. Friendly staff to respond. We reached the hotel mid-night & got the key safely & comfortably from the drop box.

The toilet ring was broken, & bit of discomfort while using. The wall heater was very close to the bed, pretty unsafe. Plz ask the receptionist to vaccum the rooms, when u go out, as they vaccume either every second day or after check out.

I stayed with few of my friends while visiting Queenstown and the location was perfect. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our living room and it was a very short walk to the town. Rooms were basic but it met all our needs. Bed were comfy. I specially want to mention about the staff member Rahul who was very helpful to us with all our queries. He was very attentive and provided us top rated customer services. These kind of things that makes you want to come back and stay there again. I highly recommend the place.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this two-bedroom apartment, and I highly recommend it for families! It’s perfect for two adults and two kids, offering plenty of space and comfort. The apartment is well-equipped with kitchen pots and pans, making it easy to prepare meals. The living area is decent, featuring two cozy leather couches, a smart TV for entertainment, and free WiFi that worked perfectly throughout our stay. One of the standout features is the balcony, which offers breathtaking views of the river, mountains, and gardens. It was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. Additionally, the location is fantastic, with free car parking right in the heart of town, making it convenient to explore the area. Overall, this motel is a great choice for families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely return!

High Condensation: The windows and glass doors in my room were covered in condensation, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. It felt damp and uninviting. Audible noises in the Shower when not in use. Overall, quality of my stay wasn't affected but feel like this unit is less cared by Management. I hope the management addresses these concerns for future guests.

Previous reviews seem to have lowered my expectations, so pleasantly surprised to find a spacious and very clean room. While there were scuffs on the walls etc, things that really count, like new and fresh linen and towels, clean kitchen and bathroom, were very much in order. Kitchen made for easy breakfast, and full stove and oven with pots, pans, utensils, etc could allow for more. On site parking, good adjustable room heating, quick hot water from the taps, for this price in central Queenstown it is really fabulous! Good understanding, replies and flexibility (late check-in) from staff in response to our cancelled flights. Less than 10 minutes walk along the lakefeont and you have access to all Queenstown bars and restaurants. Would DEFINITELY stay here again (for this price)!

Sure, there was road noise, but you are next to a road, so nothing crazy.
