The location - beautiful. The facilities perfect! Sauna, spa and cold water pool is perfect recovery facilities for those who CrossFit or do weightlifting. Breakfast and company amazing! Such a kind and friendly family… beautiful atmosphere and we will come back to visit with the rest of the family ☺️

I didn’t like that the sauna wasn’t working but once they fix that it’s the perfect place to stay ☺️

Absolutely loved our time at this fantastic B&B in beautiful Wellington. It's located on a quiet hillside overlooking from where the Picton ferry sails from. Our room was extremely comfortable, cosy and well equipped with a lovely bathroom, which included a fabulous bath. Lou and Chris, the hosts, are a lovely couple who could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had a delicious healthy breakfast each day of our stay, and enjoyed chatting to Lou & Chris over a cup of tea. This is a brilliant place to stay if you're going to catch the ferry to the South Island as it's only a short drive from here. Wellington is a fabulous city and you'll be pushed to find a better place to stay than Harbour Lodge. Highly recommended !

Nothing at all - loved it.

I have lived in and visited Mainland USA, Hawaii, Australia, Pacific islands, New Zealand and Japan and stayed in many hotels. Firstly, Wellington Lodge owners, Chris and Lou, were nice and friendly. They both have traveled to many countries and experienced different peoples, cultures and sites. Secondly, the place is beautiful and clean and is situated in a beautiful setting with gorgeous panoramic views of the Wellington harbor and hills and surroundings. Thirdly, it was winter and the rooms have heating and surprisingly, the bathroom floors are heated! How COOL is that! 🙃 There is free parking on the premises and breakfast is served each morning! We would love to visit again from Japan. The owners, Chris and Lou and Harbour Lodge get a 100/100!

Negatives? Maybe the Winter, although it was still quite pleasant!

Loved the facilities, hosts were amazing so friendly exactly what you want. Very keen to go back in the warmer months and make the most of the pool

We are sports fans so we would have liked it if we could stream our phone to the tv so we could watch sky go but this wouldn't stop us from going back

The owners are very friendly and welcomed us like old m8s. Had breakfast with them and had an enjoyable conversation. We arrived 4 hours early and we asked if we could leave our luggage there while we explored not only was that not a problem they gave us our key and said make yourself at home now if you like. My wife and I highly recommend staying here.

The breakfast was exceptional - very tasty & great company with the host joining us. The spa was brilliant with a beautiful outlook. The heated bathroom floor was a bonus as well. Felt like that we had the whole area to ourselves.

Only thing was that the pool appeared to be out of commission. Otherwise there was no other issues that I was aware of. It would be unfair to say that anything else was a case of "not liking". So there!!!

Lou and Chris were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. We were very welcome and loved staying here. The room was fantastic with lovely views of the valley and towards the coast. We had a great continental breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit. We highly recommend Harbour Lodge.

Amazing property with stunning views, worth it just for that! Lou was a wonderful hostess. She was able to do some much needed laundry for me which was fabulous. There was a great guest lounge that had a piano and there was a swimming pool and hot tub indoors that we were able to use.

The house is situated up a narrow road that feels a bit treacherous driving up due to other drivers whipping around blind turns. We made it up and down safely several times, but one wants to go cautiously.

Our hosts couldn’t have been more endearing, attentive, and passionate about what they do. A +++++++++++++

Perfect was perfect. No further recommendations except for others to come enjoy this wonderful experience as we did.

Great property with stunning views. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Spacious and comfortable room with a fridge and good tea making facilities. Large bathroom. Great guest lounge with views over the harbour. What a pool!

Perhaps a few more options at breakfast e.g. pastries. Some might find the drive up from the city a bit challenging at first but it's OK and we'll worth it.
