Great place, great location and great hosts! Lorraine and Gerald certainly went out of their way to make our stay feel like a home away from home. The room was large and airy and the bed was very comfortable. Air con in the room as well which was very useful at times. Breakfast is served in a guests only dining / sitting room which also has a small kitchen area that is very well equipped. So, if you are like us and don’t want to eat out every night, there is ample facility to prepare a snack type meal using the microwave provided. There is ample parking. It is only a short drive into Whangarei with all the amenities that the place has to offer, but is far enough away to be totally private and secluded. All in all, full respect to Lorraine and Gerald, you’ve nailed it!! Top drawer B & B.

Absolutely nothing!

The room was new, tastefully furnished with comfortable seating and a very comfortable bed. Ample room for suitcases on a long shelf in the wardrobe.A spacious modern bathroom. Lockable door into the shared hall, dining and kitchen space with motion sensor lights in the hallway. Pretty garden area/patio outside the entrance to the room. Parking was close to the accommodation area - only a few steps to the entrance. The air conditioning was much appreciated in the hot weather. A little bit of luxury in the middle of a long journey North. Thank you!

Everything was great. Very peaceful setting. Friendly host. There was nothing to dislike.

The owners were lovely and friendly and really helpful. The location wasn't close enough to walk anywhere, but I doubt that anyone would be arriving here without a car and it was lovely and peaceful. The room was immaculate. A really good sized room and very comfortable bed. Really excellent. The breakfast was continental and ok, but wasn't substantial and I would have loved some orange juice. Overall though, a pretty good stay

The place is well marked in maps so it was easy to find. Smooth check in/out, simple communication with the host The host was very nice, showed us our room and the breakfast/living room and all details. The place is a bit secluded but so peaceful and quiet and beautiful, perfect b&b to relax while watching the nice garden around or explore Whangarei and surrounding. The rooms are freshly renovated, so spacious, comfy bed, pretty bathroom, nice sliding glass door to go to chill in the cute blue chairs on the terrace.

The breakfast was tasty but rather basic. There could have been served for example orange juice or ham.

Wow! What a delightful location! Upon our arrival, we received a warm welcome from Gerald & Lorraine, who graciously made us feel right at home. They provided us with invaluable insights into the area, including recommendations for the best dining spots. Our accommodation was impeccable - a beautifully presented room, spacious, spotlessly clean, complete with a magnificent en-suite bathroom. Breakfast offered a satisfying continental spread, with a diverse selection of fruits and cereals to choose from. Nestled within approximately 10 acres of land, the property is conveniently situated just a short drive from Whangarei and the stunning waterfalls. It serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Without a doubt, one of the finest B&B experiences I've had the pleasure of enjoying. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment. You won't be disappointed.

When we booked I thought breakfast wasn’t included. It was, we’re grateful. Hosts are delightful. The home was spotless and the room and allocated area was exceptional. Parking is a bonus. We truly could not fault this stay and as I sit in another BnB I wish I was back in Glenbervie’s exceptionally comfortable high quality mattress. We highly recommend this BnB and will stay here again. Thank you

Loved the breakfast, the fresh muffins were yummy. Hubby and friends loved having a decent coffee, I dont drink coffee, but it smelt nice. Loved the lounge part, meant we could all relax and have a good chat. Not sure how it would work if the 3rd bedroom was being used.

The weather, but u couldnt do much about that. Would loved to have a walk around, but the weather prevented that!

A calm and serene place of utmost comfort with a luxurious setting. Gerald and Lorraine are the bestest hosts we've ever met. Great place just out of city hustle bustle but yet very accessible to town. A great location that allows you to experience marinas, good food, walks, beaches within a short drive. Lovely little breakfast spread. A great garden to take a quick stroll and even have a glass of wine outside. Fabulously comfortable bed, great shower and sparkly clean.

This is a luxury B&B set in beautiful, quiet surroundings. The rooms are done to a high specification and beautifully finished and well thought-out. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. They recommended a different (quicker) route for us to get to our destination and also set our breakfast out earlier as we had an early start the next day. The facilities in this place were exceptional, so clean, fresh and spacious. I would have no hesitation, at all, in recommending this place.

I would not change anything about this place - it was great!
