At first sight the style of the hotel is rather bleak. However, it is very comfortable and is located to enjoy the views of Eidfjord. It is also only a few minutes walk into the town. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was warm and functional. We had a great view of the fiord. Breakfast was typically Norwegian and enjoyable. We also ate in the hotel at night. The menu was a little restricted but the quality of the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was free parking at the hotel.

The dinner at the restaurant was really good and norwegian and, in particular, the waiter was so kind to menage to get me apple juice even though it was finished; really appreciated. The view from the room wasn’t on the fjord, but still on the terrace we could see everything and it was really good.

The bathroom was spacious but not very nice, and inside the restaurant and breakfast place the ac was on (i guess ‘cause we were freezing). The view wasn’t on the fjord and the mountains were a little bit covered by houses.

Beautiful place. Our room had a beautiful view of the fjord. There is a big and lovely porch in front of the view that you sit and relax in with a glass of wine.. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

On the morning we left a cruise ship arrived at Eidfjord and docked in the middle of the view. Obviously it is not an issue of the hotel but bear in mind that it could happen. in fact we saw these ships in several of the fjords we visited

Friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent with great views. I liked the tiny patio attached to each room. It was very pleasant on a hot day. the rooms are simple but clean and serve their purpose. I liked the access to free hot drinks during the day and early evening. The breakfast was superb and set in a lovely dining room with those beautiful views of the mountains and the Ffjord. There is easy access to the village with a path or road down to the village. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The rooms are paper thin so people can be easily heard in the adjacent rooms. It is beyond the control of this hotel and other hotels but the arrival of the enormous cruise ships prohibits people from enjoying the view. Perhaps it is something that the local council can consider. There are other buildings below so the initial view is of a roof. The view beyond the roof and behind the hotel is brilliant.

Perfect location with an amazing view to the fjord. Less than 5 minutes walking from bus station and supermarkets. Room was clean and big enough for two people, comfortable bed; clean bathroom with adequate amount of products and towels. Big window with balcony door, which provided direct access to the lawn outside. Nice lounge area with cozy chairs and fire place. Excellent personnel, very friendly and accommodating. I arrived after 10 pm, the check-in counter was already closed, but my room was ready for me and access instructions were provided online. Nice breakfast - freshly baked bread and crackers, variety of vegetables and fruits, cold cuts, hot options consisted of boiled eggs and omelet; juices and tea&coffee station (which was available throughout a day).

We loved the common area of the hotel, it has amazing views of the fiord. Our room didn´t have a fjord view but it was a nice one as well. The room was an OK size, not super small but not super big. There was free parking. But, it was also within walking distance to many places in the city. We loved the breakfast, it was great, with many options. Had dinner at the hotels restaurant, got a free dessert. Good looks but taste was nothing out of the ordinary.

Hotel is big so it gets crowded specially at early breakfast hours. Breakfast began on 8h, it was ok for us this time but it would be good if it started earlier then maybe people would spread a little bit more as well. 8h is already a bit late when you have tours to take. In the room, I thought bathroom was a little bit outdated and it didn´t smell great when we arrived. Smell got better after a while (or we got used to smell). Also, we almost didn´t manage to get a parking spot because parking lot was so full of cars already.

First time in Norway and it was as we had imagined, beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is beautiful, our room had a view of the fjord, it is incredible to fall asleep and wake up with this view. All the staff were fantastic, always smiling, friendly and ready to help you. The restaurant is very good, we tried the reindeer for the first time and we loved it, also the cod served with miso sauce is very good, we recommend it. We will suggest the hotel to our friends who are interested in visiting Norway.

Really nice location with a great view over the fjord. The hotel is very clean and the staff extremely friendly. We stayed there mid September and got upgraded to a bigger room, which was really nice. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of everything. There is nothing I can say negative about it, I can definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel itself is old, so please don't expect a brand new building. There are no TVs in the rooms, but honestly with this view you don't need one.

Location was nice, quiet,comfortable beds, decent breakfast, nice lounge to relax and read,beautiful view.

Restaurant dinner was not good, servers were attentive and kind but much too slow and the selection of only 3 dinner items is too limited, further,the food arrived cold, duck leg and vegetables all cold, not lukewarm. Breakfast was good, staff are all exceptional.

The hotel location is fantastic, it is in the middle of the town and you can see the whole town from the hotel. Hotel is not on the Hight but still great view. Room size for the family of 4 was great. Restaurant view and food was fantastic too. Breakfast could be improve though, but it was not bad.

Breakfast can be included with few more items like eggs or some more types of breads. Coffee if you guys can make without machines, In Norway I could get great coffee made in flasks. But it was good, can be improve.
