Our stay at Hotel Indigo was overall pleasant, but I want to take a moment to highlight an extraordinary act of kindness and professionalism by a young staff member who truly went above and beyond. On the evening of January 2nd, my husband and I were unfortunately attacked outside the hotel by a local man who was extremely drunk and had been causing trouble earlier in the evening. This was an incredibly frightening experience for us as tourists, and many passersby ignored our calls for help. However, a young man working at the hotel that evening (blonde, likely in his mid-twenties) stepped in and showed incredible bravery and composure. He came outside, separated the fight, defused the situation, spoke to the man in Polish, and made it clear we were tourists and should be left alone. He then ensured the man was locked out of the hotel and called the police to ensure our safety. This staff member’s actions were far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect from hotel staff. He was calm, professional, and compassionate in a very tense situation, and my husband and I are deeply grateful for his support. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but I would love for this review to reach either him or the management at Hotel Indigo so that his bravery and kindness can be recognized. In addition to this, the hotel itself was lovely, and we would certainly stay here again. But this young man’s courage and care were, without a doubt, the highlight of our experience. Thank you for hiring such exceptional staff.

room was a little too small and warm, could not seem to cool it down or open windows and it was -3 outside! Room service menu poor, limited and not very healthy.

The property is a boutique hotel with updated design. The beds were quite comfortable. Bartender was welcoming and accommodating to our requests. Breakfasts were lovely. The hotel is within walking distance of major sites. Front desk staff arranged transport and tour reservations.

While I expected that the room would be small, the closet space was minimal, with no place to store folded clothing. The ironing board took up half the space of the small closet. The front desk staff were not welcoming when we arrived early (and we had notified them this would be our need), and charged a fee to offer us a room before check-in time. This was quite a surprise. There was no assistance offered to help bring multiple pieces of luggage to our rooms.

This gem hotel is conveniently located close to the train station (you can take a direct train from the airport), has the most amazing breakfast (besides the usual breakfast elements it had the unusual option to order one of five or six warm meals that the chef was making specifically for you, from the Polish breakfast with eggs and high quality sausage to pancakes with cinnamon or maple syrup). Room was nicely decorated and the staff very responsive, especially the guy at the bar downstairs who could make just about any cocktail you'd ask with passion and friendliness.

Hard to find an unpleasant element, the elevator didn't work and we were at 5th floor but it was not really a fault since it was a temporary problem.

Loved the location of the hotel, half way between the train station (with a large shopping mall) and the market square, and next to a great local market. Was able to comfortably walk to the Jewish quarter, the Old Ghetto area, and Wawel castle from the hotel Staff were very helpful, and arranged one tour from the hotel for me. Hotel is clean, and my room was well maintained during my stay. A very comfortable bed. Breakfast was not included in my booking, but I did try the breakfast, and the food and selection was very good

The hotel seems freshly renovated and clean. The staff are pleasant and responsive. I liked the decor in the room and the high ceilings. They have a gym with a pretty good selection of equipment, but it is tiny - when there is one other person doing floor exercises, you are at risk of stepping on them. The breakfast was very satisfying. It was a medium-size buffet, with enough choices and the quality of food was excellent. The wifi in the room worked well. It was quiet.

The room, despite high ceilings and fun decor, was quite cramped - and I got a superior one. There is almost no space for a suitcase if you have more than a carry-on size luggage. The bathroom lacks a good air exhaust/fan, which would be nice to keep the smells away from the room. Traveling for work, I would appreciate a couple more conveniently located electricity outlets to charge all of my devices. The food at the bistro downstairs was very good, but I was disappointed with the taste of coffee given its high price.

We have had the perfect break , we couldn’t fault our experience in any way , from our wonderful breakfast , our planned excursions, booked for us through the hotel , to the excellent meal in the hotel’s restaurant. Krakow is a beautiful city , Hotel Indigo was a fantastic base

Maybe drop the charge for access to room , if on early arrival the room is ready before three, as a discount is not given for early departure before twelve. We arrived at lunchtime , three hours before check in but departed at 7.30am, four and a hours early on check out , obviously given the housekeeper opportunity to have room ready early for next guest

Perfect location only few steps from the Old Town. Loved the colorful interior design. Spacious room with comfy beds. Really liked the opportunity to book sauna without extra charge, nothing better than to start a rainy day with morning sauna. Good breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was perfect, undoubtedly as it is mentioned in the Michelin Guide! Helpful and friendly staff.

It is the kind of small but very cozy hotel. It is nicely decorated and makes you feel at home. The breakfast was very good. They have a warm bread with plums...simply amazing. The room is small but comfortable, the floor heating in the bathroom is great. We had dinner one evening at the restaurant, very good food and attention to detail.

I don't know why recently hotels choose to have a minibar in the room...empty...how hard is this to manage? I would like to have a full minibar at hand, for an obvious cost, but let it exist.

Breakfast: Eggs Benedict were delicious. Good selection of cold meats and cheeses. Room: very comfortable, though a little noisy from outside sometimes Location: excellent, just a short walk to the city centre

Nothing that I didn't like, though maybe better sound insulation in windows would be helpful, as the noise of early morning waste bin collection was rather intrusive.

We were more than happy with our 4 night stay at this property. The location is within easy walking access to the touristic square. Directly adjacent to the Hotel is the city market which is a fun place to see locals & tourists shopping for produce, bakery, inexpensive gifts & clothing. We especially appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was at night with hardly any street noise after 9pm. The property is exceptionally well maintained, guest rooms are very clean & comfortable. The front desk staff is happy to assist with any questions or requests. The breakfast features menu items or an ample self serve buffet. The restaurant has cheerful natural lighting, plenty of room, and the staff are extremely polite & helpful. The self serve espresso & coffee machine was my personal favorite :)

We didn’t experience anything that detracted from our stay.
