We loved that it was traditionally polish. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and the food was excellent. Very well located for the old town and only 5 minutes walk to the train station

Initially we were given a room on the road side of the hotel. It was noisy from the trams passing below and the air conditioning was not working in the room. So opening the window would have made it noisy. The reception kindly switched our room to one on the other side. Which was a much nicer room and quiet.

I was thoroughly impressed with my three-night stay at Hotel Polonia, with its delightful old-fashioned and nostalgic atmosphere and furnishings. In addition, I very much enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning and Hotel Polonia is ideally situated very near to Krakow Glowny station, a variety of frequent and inexpensive trams and within walking distance of Krakow City Centre, Old Town and the Jewish Quarter, with so much to explore and experience. Loved everything, including the incredible medieval architecture, the delightful cafés, restaurants and shops and delicious food. My apartment room on the third floor was like living in a palace and good value and the whole hotel is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Also, I loved the old-fashioned bakelite telephones on display in the hallway on each floor. Although the trams were running very late at night and were fairly loud, they didn't keep me awake as I enjoyed the old-fashioned atmosphere. My only regret was seeing very few old-fashioned cars (wish I'd come to Poland many years ago)! A big 'thank you' to everyone.

No complaints at all.

Great location, clean room, good wifi and nice personnel

My husband and I usually stay at the Aparthotel Basztowa (owned by Hotel Polonia) when we visit Kraków, but this time we decided to stay in the main hotel, expecting it to be an upgrade. Unfortunately, we found our room to be much smaller, and overall, the experience offered less value for money compared to the Aparthotel. The only real advantages of staying at Hotel Polonia were the convenience of an elevator and the option to have breakfast. The breakfast itself was decent, though there was consistently a line for the coffee machine.

The location is ideal for exploring the area, with trams, buses, and trains within a very short walk. Nice cosy atmosphere with lovely nostalgic touches: great not to be in a sterile, chain hotel. Breakfast is plentiful and varied with proper scrambled eggs! Good coffee, too. Rooms are comfortable with good views. Bathrooms are clean and adequately equipped. Plenty of hot water. WiFi signal quite good and more than adequate for business use. Nice to be able to have a drink in the restaurant/bar in the evening, although the opening hours of this facility are quite restricted. Luggage storage for early arrivals and late departures.

Not a problem for us, but be aware that the hotel is on a tram route and so there is an amount of vibration and noise.

The location is really good. It's a short and pleasant walk to the main square, and onwards. We also enjoyed the breakfasts which were very varied and plentiful. One evening we dined at the hotel restaurant and had an excellent meal. We appreciated the style and ambience of the hotel as it's not easy to find nice places to stay that aren't ultra modern these days.

It's pretty noisy at night from all the trams outside which made our first night almost impossible to sleep. The second was better, probably because we were so tired from our day in Kraków. Personally, the mattress was too soft for us too.

Communication with the hotel prior to arrival was excellent. The service in the hotel restaurant in the hotel was exemplary, and the food even more so - I highly recommend The room was quaint and the location was perfect.

Hotel staff could have communicated better with regard to the scheduling of a ride to the airport. When I arrived, staff indicated that a reservation would be made for me, but several days later when I left there was no reservation. It caused some anxiety, but I was able to secure a ride via a rideshare app.

The hotel is charming with lots of period features. Our bathroom was modern. Everything was very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. The location could not be better, a short walk from the railway station and 10 minutes walk from the main square . The restaurant menu is limited but we tried several things and they were all excellent and beautifully presented

The menu could do with more vegetarian options as there is really only one

Staff was extremely helpful. We arrived earlier, and our room wasn't ready, but the lady on the reception rang housekeeping to see if they could accommodate us in another room, which I thought was above and beyond. Both porters dealing with our language were lovely and very helpful too. The rooms are in this old style. You would feel like you are in a presidential suite for as little as 100 euros per night! Breakfast was amazing. I couldn't believe how lucky I was finding baked cheesecake in the breakfast bar ( that's me being Polish;). But my Irish boyfriend was happy, very happy with hot options too, and continental options were endless, and like a little fiesta 😀 location is just perfect 👌 near to main square and all the tourists attractions as well as train station to airport or if you want to explore other parts of my beautiful country 🥰 we definitely stay again!!!

It is bit noisy with trams going around

central location a few minutes walk from main railway station and main square. The hotel was full of character being an old property.Rooms clean, comfortable beds, good shower, tea and coffee,a safe.Food in restaurant fabulous,Would recommend.

Our only criticism was at breakfast the 2 slice toaster was in a corner which meant guests had to push past those waiting for toast to get to the bread baskets..and some mornings only small slices were left and they got lost in the toaster.otherwise a good spread.
