Quiet hotel with lovely pools and sunbeds a bit out from the hustle and bustle of Alburfeira. The rooms and verandas are big. Our 2nd visit and we will be back again.

Nothing that we didn’t like.

The room was fine. Loved the balcony. The bed was super hard for my comfort. The breakfast wasn’t great although we did enjoy the fresh fruit.

The price. It was quite expensive for what it was.

Good sized comfortable rooms with bar fridge. 2 pools on site with the larger one away from the bar quieter.

A little bit out of the main town where the action is meant driving into town.

What I liked the most were the facilities: - 3 swimming pools, we only used the largest one which was very clean, not too much chlorine in water, very few people swimming in it - Bar and restaurant by the pool, Bar in the hotel - Large nice room and bathroom Also: - Safe and refrigerator in the room for free - Hair dryer, air conditioning, TV, very good Wi-Fi - Cleanliness and Daily cleaning - peace and quiet, pleasant staff, not too many guests in the first week of June - 300m to a beautiful swimmable Maria Luisa beach, other 3 beaches nearby - affordable restaurants with fresh and tasty food nearby - stores nearby (quite expensive though) The truth is I have been to 4* hotels, which did not provide that much comfort and such good facilities as Balaia Mar.

Mattrace was too hard for my taste, but you may use duvets or blankets which are in the wardrobe and lay on them. Swimming pool opened just till 19. Other than that, the hotel was perfect and will definitely be back when in Portugal, of course if they have rooms available.

Room and balcony was pleasant. Pool was nice to sit by in the afternoon sun. Ideal distance from the busier Albuferia and a good walking distance to closer and smaller beaches.

The bed was the only thing letting the rooms down as mattress was quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.

The pools were great, spotlessly clean. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and spacious .

Nothing really . There was a big tree outside our balcony , which seemed to be one of the smallest compared to the others. Would have preferred a different room with a sunbed as any of the other balconies we saw had.,

The staff at reception and by the pool were incredibly friendly & helpful. The pool is perfect, always beds available and are cleaned regularly. Room was cleaned, beds were made & also fresh towels every morning. Would definitely recommend and return to this hotel. Great place to stay & only 40mins from the airport.
