We booked this BnB when we were constructing our itinerary. Had we known at the time what we were in for...... we would have added more time to our booking. This BnB is over the top to die for. For us, it was a welcome relief after staying in Albufeira for three nights (which we found to be a bit overwhelming). When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our hosts, Evelein and Tom. They graciously gave us a quick tour of the property and then a welcome drink. Then they showed us to our room which turned out to be the largest room in their home. Lucky us! The bathroom was a very large room complete with huge shower stall, bidet and soaker bathtub. Our hosts were very helpful and recommended different restaurants and gave us directions to the dining area in town and the beach, made reservations for us at a restaurant that was recommended to us by some friends. Breakfast was served in a private and shaded outdoor area (with a plan B for rainy days, which we didn't experience). It was absolutely scrumptious. It included coffee (anyway you want it, pretty much), croissants, amazing grainy buns and non grainy buns, equally gorgeous. There was prosciutto, cheeses, fruit so beautifully presented, hummous, among other delicious options. Eggs were offered whatever your cooking preference, and one morning was banana pancakes. There was also freshly squeezed orange juice. Sorry if this is a bit long-ish but I haven't even gotten to the whole pool experience, or the rooftop lounge. What an incredible place and experience. It was spotless everywhere with daily additions of bottled water in the fridge, and the room being made up daily. There was even an unused roof area where the view is spectacular. Although we were only able to stay here for 3 nights, we agree that this was our favorite accommodation during our 2 weeks in Portugal. Regards, Renée & Gary xx

Loved everything

Tom & Evelien are the perfect hosts. They shared their beautiful home with us as though we were family and provided every need in advance. Upon arrival we were ushered to the rooftop seating area, with an unbelievable view, and served a generous glass of wine and tapas as our welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our extensive conversations with them - it was a pleasure getting to know them - and took many of their recommendations regarding local restaurants and activities, with excellent results. Their home is located a short walk from the town center. We only used our car when traveling to other nearby towns. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, as tasty as can be, and personally served by both Tom & Evelien. We challenged Evelien to create poached eggs one morning, not something she had previously mastered, and she promptly presented us with poached masterpieces. We absolutely adore this couple and will stay with them again should the opportunity occur. Thank you both for providing us with an unforgettable memory of our stay in Carvoeiro.

My adult son and I stayed in the downstairs, 2 bedroom, garden apartment for 5 nights. It was huge, clean and extremely comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed, including a washing machine. It was a great space for relaxing and we could enjoy the garden and easy access to the pool. It was a lovely quiet location and a short walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. Tom and Evelien were amazing hosts who were so friendly, helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay. This was our favourite accommodation on our 3 week trip and we would highly recommend Casa Carioca. We will be back again!

The hosts were wonderful, accommodating, friendly and helpful. The place was quiet, and well taken care of, away from the city center which was nice. The pool was lovely, nice lounge chairs and clean.

We rented the apt which was a daylight basement under the main living quarters. It was fine, a little dark. A good hilly walk from the main town with shops and restaurants.

Lovely large comfy bed, clean room serviced daily with mineral water left in fridge, lovely pool we swam most days, rooftop terrace at sunset with sea view, honesty bar (nice touch), amazing breakfast and welcoming hosts. Great location too, short walk to Carvoeiro beach and restaurant hill. We would stay again for sure! We also loved the cats lol although they keep away for those that aren’t cat people x

We had a wonderful stay with Tom & Evelien at their charming guest house. They were warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel comfortable and at ease. The guest house was great with a beautiful pool and roof top terrace for magical sunsets. Tom & Evelien were helpful and accommodating, serving delicious breakfasts and offering useful recommendations. We appreciated their kind and friendly approach, which made our stay feel more like visiting friends than a typical hotel experience. Overall, we highly recommend Tom & Evelien and their guest house to anyone looking for a relaxing and personalised stay. They're great hosts who genuinely care about their guests!

Tom and Evelien are the perfect hosts who made us feel very welcome, and are informative about the local area and what to see and do. I loved the location in a quieter residential area about a 8 min walk from town and the beach. There is a nice roof top terrace, the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset with a glass of wine :-) The pool area and gardens are nice and private. The breakfast was superb and the honesty bar was a nice touch and not overpriced.

Really comfortable stay in the apartment suite. The apartment was extremely spacious for 2 adults and a child and the pool was a really good size too. The hosts were really friendly and we would definitely recommend staying here. It was also just a short 10 minute walk to Carvoeiro and there is ample parking just outside the property.

Everything was good!

It was a beautiful house designed with love and care. Our room was very comfortable, and we appreciated the twin beds for my granddaughter and me. The location was perfect; in an upscale, quiet residential neighborhood but only a 10 minute walk from the beach and multiple restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious, with fresh pastry, eggs, fruit, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Tom & Evelin are friendly, warm hosts.
