The location was great, just a couple minutes walk from the beach. Carla and her daughter were lovely and welcoming. The room was cleaned to a very high standard and done so daily. The shower was also lovely. The small rooftop pool with jet was very nice and was a lovely place to sit in the evening with the fairy lights on. There was cooking facilities, which we didn't use, but it was very helpful to store things in the freezer (water bottles) and also have use of the washing line for our bathing suits/towels after a long day at the beach! Having a full-length mirror was very appreciated, as well as space to hang our clothes, as well as having a small TV which was a nice touch too.

Our room was next to another room's bathroom, which we could hear from time to time during the night, but this room was locked and it wasn't a huge issue. However, we were also the final room between the two spaces, so we could hear people entering/exiting early in the morning. Another small thing was that the bed wasn't fully comfortable to our liking (although it looked lovely!), but others may not have an issue with it - we prefer a firmer bed.

Love the host! The location was so close to the beach and to a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops and a market. You can walk to all these spots within a few minutes. We felt like locals living here. It's a really cute small town and we were given two suites in the same building, which was perfect for our family of 5. It was also awesome that the Carvoeiro boat tours starts right from this beach if you want to take a boat to see the many caves and the famous Benagil cave. Also, Algar seco is a short walk away, too. The host was very quick to respond, give suggestions, and was very welcoming. We traveled to Algarve, Lisbon, and Porto - and loved staying here the most. We highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.

Amazing location, 2 minutes from the beach, 30 seconds from shops / bars / restaurants. Carla & her daughter were super friendly and welcoming. My visit was at the end of the summer period so the property was quiet which was great. Rooms very basic & comfortable. Bathrooms excellent. Full kitchen facilities are available if required.

One small downside is that I had a late evening flight but could only leave my luggage until 1pm. There is nowhere else in Carvoeiro to store luggage so bear this in mind if you have a late flight.

It was in a very convenient location if you want to be close to the shops and restaurants of the town. The beach is also very close to get to. The hosts were very kind and super helpful! I felt they would help us with anything we need and were very kind and had a lovely nature.

As the location is so well situated in the town, the trade off is that there is some noise to handle around you, such as cars rolling through the cobblestone streets and seagulls from the beach being so close. However, the cars aren’t obnoxious in sound and if you’re getting up early the seagulls won’t be much of a disturbance.

My room was great, the staff amazing and the guesthouse in a great location. Very close to the beach which is what I was looking for. I found the price very reasonable. The guesthouse has a shared kitchen and sitting room. I also enjoyed a message while I was staying there which was amazing.

I was staying for over a week and although my towels were changed regularly and my bed made daily I would have preferred my bedding changed more and my room swept more

Well, this is certainly a hidden Gem in Carvoeiro, which by itself is a good town to stay in if you want to escape from the usual chaos found in Albufeira, Lagos, and others, especially in Summer. The property itself had everything that was needed. The location was great, really near to the beach, and the rooms, as well as the bedsheets, were impeccable. The room had a pleasant smell, the shower was very decent, and there was even a jacuzzi and a small swimming pool that we did not use as we spent only one day in Carvoeiro. The staff takes the cake though, both host ladies were incredibly helpful, friendly, and communicative. The younger lady(daughter), gave us some valuable(local) tips of places to visit before our next destination in the Algarve. 100 % recomend.

Carla and Ligia are wonderful hosts. I felt very welcome from the moment I entered. It felt like being home while there. There is a small pool which was refreshing at the end of the day. Also Ligia offers incredible therapeutic massages (many choices). I ended up getting two massages while there! I’m happy there was a mini fridge I. Room and cold water in a lovely glass container every day as well as hot water maker with tea or coffee. There is a large kitchen that the guests can use as well. Centrally located near beach and in town.

We had a brilliant experience staying at O Quintal, Carla from the start to end was extremely helpful and kind to us. The facilities are all like new with an amazing pool and relaxation area, it truly was a home away from home. We enjoyed massages which were offered in house and laundry service was also available. There is a restaurant downstairs and the food is possibly the best I have ever tasted. We were very lucky to have found O Quintal and hope to visit again soon.

Excellent location in the centre of a cute coast town, 5min walk from the beach and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. The staff was super kind and attentive with us, they gave us the best dinner recommendation just in the restaurant downstairs. The room was decorated nicely and the bed comfortable. The common spaces (kitchen, terrace and pool) were equipped with all we needed and places to chill, read a book.

Carla’s home exceeded our expectations. Carla was super friendly and welcoming, provided us with lots of local recommendations. The location was great, only about 5 mins from the main beach in town. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. It had everything we needed. Towels were changed regularly too. Every little detail was well thought out, for example there were beach umbrellas for guests to borrow. We had a massage as well that was great for value. Thank you for hosting us 🙂
