Spacious, very clean including the pool, felt incredibly safe, everything was to a very high standard and the location was so scenic- beautiful sunsets!

For those staying in the mezzanine bedroom it was loud- perhaps a door on the kitchen needed to stop the fridge noise affecting sleep? Little things missing like hooks in the bathroom for your robe and tea towels in the kitchen (we used bathroom hand towels)

Perfect place for relaxing holidays, had everything we needed in resort. Beds were so comfortable. Resort was better than we expected, property looks better than on photos. Swimming pools were fantastic, spa area was also nice.

It is far enough from the sea and restaurants, but we had cars rented to move around. I would recommend to rent the car.

Beautiful stay at Vale Da Lapa! We are a family of 3 (an almost 2 year old and mum and dad) the villa was really spacious, clean and there were stair gates installed without even asking! The travel cot was super comfortable and big for our little girl and they even gave her a little welcome pack. It was very quiet and peaceful and we loved the stream running through the whole resort full of frogs! They were loud at night like other reviews said but honestly it was a lovely thing to hear and didn’t annoy us at all. The staff at reception can’t do more for you. Very helpful and replied via whatsapp for anything we needed instantly. Pool was great! Location is perfect - walking distance to a shop and a couple of restaurants (Luisa’s 5 mins walk away was nice - but book!) beaches just a short drive away. We rented a car.

The pool needs more beds to accomodate everyone staying there. Lots of people hogged the beds all day and we had to wait for beds on a couple of occasions. Which was disappointing and for a 5 star should be better. If it’s a space issue then guests should be told that if they leave their beds over an hour or so, they will be handed over to someone else to make it fair… £9.50 for an iced coffee is outrageous so please look at your pricing. Would be cheaper to pay $12 for the breakfast buffet and ask for a coffee with ice on the side!!! Internet isn’t amazing and intermittent in villas but I guess good to switch off on holiday anyway :)

breakfast special offer, and quality and range of food on offer. Pool was well laid out, but it was very hot certain days, so shade was necessary. Bedroom was large, fantastic cupboard space and coat hangers. Bed was enormous and maid service virtually daily. Good quality towels. Kitchen was very well stocked, with a dishwasher, cooker, microwave and frideg/freezer.

The level of light in the evenings was almost too subdued, and the sofa was too deep - not comfortable. No ice cube mouls in the freezer. Rather disappointed with the evening meal offers in the restaurant, and cost of a glass of wine.

It's all the comforts of a home from home with the added benefit of having your own private pool and access to resort facilities (bar, restaurant, gym, spa, etc). The food is delicious and the cocktails are extremely moreish. The staff are always eager to help and happy to chat. This is our 3rd time staying here as a family of 4 in the villas, and we love it every time we stay. The villa is lavish and is cleaned daily. There is a local restaurant (Luisa's) which we can't recommend enough and a shop for any food/toiletry items you need. The town is a 4 minute taxi drive away and is approximately 3 euros. We love it here and will continue to come back.

The only downside is that the private pools aren't heated; however, this is only a problem in the colder months as it's extremely refreshing in the hotter months. The upside is that they have an indoor heated pool, which is right next to the bar (always a bonus), so you can still enjoy a pool holiday at any time of the year

Amazing value for money. The villa was huge, modern and spotless. The kids loved the heated pool. Would definitely go back.

Breakfast was OK but the villa is so well equipped that we ate our breakfast there every day.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, showing true professionalism. Breakfast was excellent, offering a delightful mix of Continental options and traditional Portuguese pastries. We only used the indoor swimming pool, which was fantastic, but the gym, sauna, jacuzzi, and Turkish bath were also very enjoyable

The location can feel somewhat remote, especially without a rental car. While the house was very nice, it could benefit from additional lighting inside, as it felt quite dark in the evenings. The kitchen utensils were also somewhat limited, which could be improved for a more convenient stay. Lastly, it would be great to have the option for dinner service, as the lunch service ends quite early at 5:30 PM

The staff were all amazing and couldn't be more helpful. Everyone we met from reception to security to cleaners and the restaurant and bar staff were all so friendly and helpful and great at their jobs. The facilities were perfect for us - we all stayed in two bed villas and they are modern, clean, really well equipped and so so spacious. The beds and pillows were so comfy and the rooms had blackout shutters which we appreciated for small children's sleep :-). The general facilities were great with a heated pool for us to use as the weather was just a little too cool for the outside pools. We made use of the padel and basketball/football courts, and the playground and jacuzzi too. They even had daily activities for kids to participate in, although we didn't try that out as our kids were maybe a bit small (just turned 3 yrs and a baby). The grounds themselves are lovely to wander around and we had lots of fun walking around the ponds to find the frogs. The ponds all around the grounds were an extra lovely and unique bonus for us as we found it fun to find the frogs and also listening to them, especially at night time when they are really loud, was lovely and so therapeutic. It seemed very family friendly to us and we had an amazing holiday here. We travelled as a group of 11 and everyone from nearly 1 yr old to 72 yr old were very happy. You do have to drive, in my opinion, to get to Carvoeiro but it is so easy to get an Uber and so cheap or you can rent a car - we did both.

The villa was amazing, exactly what you see in the pictures. The rooms are spacious and modern, the kitchen is well equipped, the pool area in the villa is great and the WiFi is good. Great having the option to have daily housekeeping or get €5 to spend in the restaurant or bar each day you opt not to have cleaning. The gym and spa area are quite small but I like that. We went in September and it was never overrun with people whenever we used it. The resort is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful dealing with any issues or requests promptly. Being able to WhatsApp any requests to reception was really good and convenient. It was the perfect holiday home for us.

Nothing I didn’t like but we would have liked a BBQ to cook out on the patio. If I was being super picky I’d say a shuttle service to Carvoeiro would be handy as you really do need a car to get about quickly.

As always. Splendid! Restaurant bar pool area spotlessly clean. Apartment overlooking the gardens again spotless however with the prices you wouldn’t expect anything different. A few restaurants and local supermarket. In fact I ate at the same restaurant four nights in a row which was about a five minute walk.

Nothing not to like I’m not sure how they justify their extortionate prices come summer compared to out of season for the same rooms but it is quite exceptional 😊
