The room we stayed in was absolutely amazing. Very spacious. The outside eating area and garden were fantastic. Well maintained. And the swimming pool was absolutely perfect after a long day of site seeing. Very clean. We had a lovely breakfast each morning. Lots to choose from. I had some amazing scrambled eggs and the fruit selection was brilliant. The owners & staff were so helpful. Had some great tips for what to do in Faro and where to eat. The whole experience was a delight. Couldn't have asked for more.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about this place. Everything was perfect.

Charming, individual place run by lovely people. Adults-only (never tried this before but works well here in smaller place) and just ten or so rooms (maybe even fewer) so very peaceful and quiet; also close to rail and bus stations for trips out of town, and to the tourist area with restaurants, shops etc. Cute little cool-off/short-lengths pool and leafy garden Where The Breakfast Papayas Grow (and some "blue" (!) bananas but they were still green when we were there). Enjoyed being in a lovely, cool first-floor suite with interesting, quirky decor, enjoyed meeting resident tortoiseshell cat Héra - "mother of all the gods, mother of Apollo" - just as much. Thanks! 😻

No issues, all good 🙂 (NB: worth knowing that there is no reception 1200-1500 so you can't check in or leave luggage between those times. This is made clear so it was not a surprise or a problem but it's worth planning for if you arrive on a morning flight/train. Can recommend nearby Vanilla Faro for a light lunch/coffee/beer/ice-cream meantime. Looks like there are also Stasher left-luggage places nearby but we didn't try that.)

Such a tasteful and stunning design of rooms and garden, behind an anonymous facade and entrance, like a hidden gem. Very clean and quiet. A beautiful and tasty breakfast with everything fresh made the morning such a good start. The casa is situated within a short walking distance to shopping streets, a big variety of restaurants and cafés, harbour, old city and train station. If I were looking for a real break from hustle and bustle and searching for a meditative place, yet with everything reachable if needed, this will be the place! Thank you so much to the owners/staff who certainly offer a "petit paradis"

Casa Apollo is a fabulous guesthouse. It is a real oasis of calm, surrounded by walls, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the town. Breakfasts were just amazing, with so much fresh food and choice. The whole property was beautifully clean and tidy and the host was very friendly and helpful. We had some great chats with him. The location is just great for exploring Faro itself and is also within very easy walking distance of both the train and bus station, for venturing further afield.

The seats in the lounge area could have been a little comfier

Room and breakfast were excellent. Room was terrific and breakfast was wonderful. You had freshly squeezed orange juice along with eggs prepared how you like them. There was a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruits, and cereals for breakfast as well. The hotel is also within walking distance of downtown. There are more than enough restaurants for dining. Luckily for us, we also happened to be there for the local fest, Festa da Ria Formosa. It was a great, festive atmosphere and the seafood was excellent (happens from late July until early August).

This is not a dislike but a recommendation. If you want to see or do things outside of Faro (i.e. Lisbon or Seville, Spain), I highly suggest renting a car. Not that expensive and most of the rental places have pickup and drop-off right at the airport. However, you can utilize the ferries to reach the beaches if that is all you want to do. My only downside is that finding parking around the guesthouse is a challenge.

The location was good in that it was within walking distance to the old town (was in the old town). it had a nice breakfast room and outdoor patio for eating breakfast. the breakfast was very nice and they would make you eggs to order if you wanted. They always had home baked coffee cake or other breakfast pastries.

They did not provide tissues (Kleenex) in the rooms and only one waste basket which was minorly inconvenient. We walked around the city a lot (didn't use taxi's or Ubers to get around and it was so hard to get back to the guest house because directions on our phone took us around and around so we got lost a lot. Our advice is just take a cab to save yourself time, frustration and steps!

Everything was excellent - from the spacious clean room to the relaxing garden and pool. Jean Paul and his staff were always on hand to help when needed. Tasty fresh breakfast on the terrace every morning with freshly cooked eggs. Perfect weeks stay, shopping streets, cafes and restaurants all within a short walk. Regular, cheap, ferry to a sandy beach and Jean Paul even supplies parasols for use.

Nothing. There is building work going on in the surrounding area but this didn't stop us enjoying the garden and pool everyday.

Well kept and beautifully designed. Felt very looked after and loved how there was always gentle music playing in the seating area. Pool was delightful and plenty of sun loungers to sit outside

Building work on neighbouring property was quite noisy (no fault of Casa Apollo). Was okay while in the room, but noisy by the pool. Having said that, we just listened to music with our headphones and that worked perfectly to block it out and relax

Very well located in Faro with very friendly staff/owners. Impressed by the cleanliness. Everything feels kind of reduced to the minimum, even the breakfast offer, but actually you don’t miss anything. Perfect for me, beceause it is my lifestyle anyway as it is the sustainable way…

It is not really a big issue, but the first breakfast slot is at 8.45 am, what is a little late for people, who are on their way… 7.30 would be perfect!

great location, close to the airport, the town, the beach. lots of guides on things to do locally. though we didn't do it, a trip was arranged for anyone who wanted to join for the day to go on a boat. breakfast was lovely, the pool and garden area were beautiful and a great place to relax with plenty of sun throughout the day. also there's a cat which was so sweet.

at no fault of the property at all, there were some building works taking place next door which was loud when trying to relax by the pool and also woke us up one morning.
