Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Helpful people at reception. Great location near the railway station and not far from old town or port.

Not enough sockets. It would make a huge difference if they provided a kettle (and tea/coffee?) so that guests can make a drink first thing in the morning or last thing at night. This is especially useful to solo travellers, especially females. Or have a small room (as in a hostel I stayed in) that has a kettle and fridge etc for guests to use. I didn't like the fact my room didn't have an external window and that I had to keep the curtain closed all the time - blinds would be better and hide the light and offer privacy without feeling one is in a closed box.

The location was great - about 5 mins walk to the train station, restaurants and the shops! The 24 hour reception was brilliant and we were welcomed whatever time of day/evening it was - the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases in a room at reception and go to the beach whilst we were waiting to check in - we were even offered beach towels to take with us! The hotel's reception area was immaculate as was our room. Stayed for 1 night at beginning of our holiday and 1 night at the end of our stay! The first room was overlooking the front of hotel and was a little compact but was fine for 1 nights stay but the room we had at end of our stay was overlooking the court yard and was much bigger and quieter but both were immaculate We had breakfast on the first day which was amazing - the choice was excellent and everything was so fresh and well laid out and we could eat in the breakfast room or out in the court yard - once again ver helpful staff.

Nothing it was a very pleasant stay

I would recommend this hotel for a one-night stay. We arrived very late and stayed here overnight. The location is convenient — an Uber or Bolt ride from the airport to the hotel cost around €10. The room had everything we needed: a hairdryer, shampoo, towels, etc., with no surprises. There was always someone at the reception, which was very convenient.

The problem is the lack of soundproofing — it’s almost nonexistent. When someone walks past your door or talks in the neighboring room, you can hear everything as if the person is right next to you. Another issue is the ventilation in the bathroom — you need to open the window and air it out after taking a shower.

Front desk team were very friendly & helpful. There are a number of on-site parking spaces at a nominal daily cost. Access to underground parking is tight - so take it slowly! Small compact balcony overlooking main road - quite busy so if you prefer quiet ask for a courtyard room. Comfy bed. Good sized bed side tables and plenty of storage / hanging space. Really great sized smart TV, so you can watch Netflix & Chill. Very handy location, short stroll down a side street and you're in the centre of old town / harbour. Mini supermarket right next to front entrance for the basics.

Staff for amazing and very helpful. They arranged a transfer to the airport for me which was seamless. Can't comment on breakfast as I didn't have it. It was only a 3 minute walk to a variety of restaurants.

Bedroom was worn, shower and head rest on the bed especially. The head rest was peeling material. The location was great in the sense it was 5 minute walk to the marina but it was on a dark quiet street and as a solo female traveller I didn't feel safe in the dark and there was a lot of people drinking from bottles and cans on the street on the way to it. This wouldn't be as much of a problem in the summer with the longer evenings. Soundproofing could definitely a problem although I'm a heavy sleeper so it didn't affect me too much but you can hear every door open/close and footsteps in the corridors

Really good location. Close to the railway station and an easy walk to the old town. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The room had really effective air conditioning-it was very hot weather so really appreciated. We had a small balcony overlooking the courtyard which was lovely in the evening.

The bottom sheets on the double bed didn’t tuck in at the sides so came undone and was uncomfortable to lie on, which was a shame because everything else was great.

It was clean functional and did the job. staff were efficient and pleasant . It is not far from the Marina restaraunt area of Faro so all good. Also within easy walking distance of the train station. we did not have breakfast preferring to walk to the local cafe's to see what was on offer

Not keen on the temporary air conditioning modification (wooden board in sliding doors) It made me worry about room security, which is an issue these days. I think I should have been informed about this on check in at the desk. I know we were on the 1st floor but I do watch James Bond and he could have got in :-)

Not our first stay in Faro, but our first stay in Hotel Sol Algarve. Excellent location, close enough to everything Faro has to offer, but just far enough away to be quiet when you want it to be. Facilities and staff all first class class (although I can't comment on the breakfast as we sleep to late to take advantage of it) If you're looking for a great value place to stay for a short break in Faro, you can't go far wrong here.

Kettle in room would have been nice, but it is a budget hotel, so still can't complain.

We were staying in a triple room with our teen son. The room was basic but clean. Hot, powerful shower.. Nice view from the balcony ( 3rd floor). Beds were very comfortable, I mean it. I had worse sleep in some 3 - 4* hotels in the past. The cleaning lady did a wonderful job to keep our room clean, nice with clean towels. We opted to have a breakfast in the hotel and I am glad we did. Excellent coffee, hot chocolate etc. fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, juices, cereals. sets you for the day of exploring. This quiet hotel is only 3 minutes from the airport-city( bus 16 ) stop and only 5 minutes from the marina, churches and other places of interest. The staff are nice and friendly. I would suggest extra hooks in the bathroom, so guests can hang towel and clothes when going for a shower.

We really loved this hotel. When we arrived the person on reception desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and tidy. The hotel location is just perfect for the train and bus station and for wandering around the city and marina. There are some great restaurants close by. In terms of the hotel itself, we stayed 5 nights and our room was spotlessly cleaned every morning with fresh towels left. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well, the area was so quiet at night. We tried the breakfast buffet and there was a lot of choice, very fresh and tasty. After checking out we were able to securely leave our luggage until our evening flight so that was a bonus. We would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Faro.

We couldn't see any negatives at this hotel.
