This is a long established hotel in Faro. Good atmosphere and good on security. Well reviewed in Rough Guides. Happy with my choice, just right for four nights in Faro. About ten minutes walking time from bus station and buses to Faro airport) and train station. Try the Velha Casa restaurant for a good evening meal, as well as the Adega near the bus station. Trips to the outlying Ilhas are good, reasonably priced.

Only one thing- there was noise around 3am and 4am from groups of people walking past the hotel, down in the street. A careful consideration of a choice of room might help.

Breakfast is basic, staff is very polite, helpful, speak English, ready to help with every piece of information you need to find your way around the place. Room has a balcony with a nice view towards the patio with fig tree and umbrellas, beautiful Marina is just ten minutes walk away, 15 minutes walk to the ferryboat and nice promenade.

Cleanliness: there is room for improvement (the bed linen and the towels); mosquitoes can ruin your night sleep.

The location is great, close to all attractions and close to the centre. Amazing local pubs and restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. Clean hotel, it's a 2 star ⭐⭐ hotel but feels better.

Only one thing we do not really like is the bell always needs to ring to get inside the hotel,but understand its safety reason probably.

This room was exactly what we needed for the type of traveling we do. 2 twin beds, a private bathroom, simple amenities. A place to come home to at the end of a long day of walking and sight seeing. We didn't encounter any issues. Staff was really friendly. Check in and checkout was smooth. Amazing value. Close to everything (5-10 min walk or less to everything)

I take ear plugs everywhere I travel so it's not really a problem, but for others... you might hear tvs, conversations from neighboring rooms.

The hotel was nice and clean, freshly renovated The area was very bad possible dangerous at night with drunks and druggies sleeping rough in the small nearby park, with the smell of urine. There is a small keybab hut near by run by a nice guy from Bangladesh, the food is good and cheap and he stays open late -? 2am. Reception was open all night Good for late arrivals.

The room and Shower good and the staff friendly especially the elderly Lady. Was within 10 minute walk to railway station and bus station with a few left and right turns OK once you got your bearings. We ate twice at the Aqua Ria and the food was excellent. We also ate at the demo and the food was excellent there as well.

The breakfast was basic a bread roll with butter cheese and jam and Brioche coffee in paper cup. The gentlemen doing the breakfast was friendly. There was nothing wrong with it but we are use to a choice.

Minor point but had to keep ringing the outside bell to gain entry. 24 hour desk so someone is always there but ot would have been great to have a key to let ourselves in. Again strange parking arrangement. The hotel only has one free space but we found cheap paid parking on the same street no problem, except you can only pay for 3 hours maximum at a time (!) and so we had to keep returning to car to pay for the next 3 hours. Luckily it was free parking between 19.00 and 9.00 (overnight) though.

No kettle in the kitchen .

Clean and quiet accommodation. Excellent location for business or tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast and I liked that rolls were individually wrapped. Plentiful choice of fruit too. Lovely freshly made coffee on request.

No wifi in room 101 although I did connect the router ( it was unplugged on arrival). I also asked at reception if the issue could be resolved but the desk clerk was unable to help. He said he would pass on the complaint but nothing was done during our stay. No alternatives were offered either. Frustrating when I wanted to communicate using wifi.
