We booked a private room with a shared bathroom. The bed was decent, large enough for two. The ceiling was beautiful. There was a clothes rack in the room which was very useful, and a small desk/table in front of the window. The terrace was adorable and The reception staff were so lovely! Great location, walking distance to Old town and the waterfront.

I’m not sure if it was the wool blankets or the headboard but something was very dusty and I could not stop sneezing whenever I was in the room. Opening the windows helped, but you have to close and lock the windows when not in the room because there is no screen. Only two of the outlets worked in the rooms, and only one shower stall on the first floor bathroom worked, except it started flooding on our second shower. Toilet paper and paper towel was often not stocked. The walls are quite thin and the other tenants were quite loud at night between 23:00 and 02:00 AM, but that is not the hostels fault.

Location, roof terrace ,price ,stayed here twice if wasn't good ,would not have come again ,obviously did so all good ,everything in walking distance ,all flat terrain ,bus station, train station harbour ferry to beach ,bus to beach or airport all at a leisurely 10 min walk ,cashpoints, bars restaurants, Chinese indian, supermarket etc 3 to 5 mins depending on your requirements, all good

No bin on roof terrace,should you decide to venture up there ,the roof terrace could really do with a tidy up ,not scruffy at all ,however a general tidy up is required, ,properly secure the artificial grass ,some plants in pots wouldn't go amiss to break up the concrete jungle that surrounds the panoramic view ,and proper seating ,and sun loungers would be highly beneficial, its actually a wasted space at present, usable yes but not aesthetically pleasing to the eye

The hostel is a converted grand old town house with marble floors and high ceilings. The rooms themselves are also spacious, sparsely decorated with plain white walls , white shutters , a white desk and bedside tables. The bed was very comfortable and a fan had been supplied for additional comfort. The shared kitchen and bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly to a good standard. The property’s key feature is the large rooftop terrace - a great place to enjoy your breakfast while you plan your day or have a nightcap in the moonlight. Nothing is more than 15 minutes walk away, mostly nearer. So you can easily access the monuments shops and restaurants , the dock (for great sea views and fabulous boat trips to the islands and beaches of the national park ) bus and train stations.

Only a small thing but because it’s an old building, understandably, some of the infrastructure is well worn, so sometimes you can be disturbed by creaking doors or floorboards at night.

Really well located.Within walking distance of the train and bus terminal. Loads of great restaurants and cafes around. Very close to the marina and a couple of museums. The kitchen is well equipped if you are planning on eating in as well and there are mini markets around. The closest just opposite the hotel, and a bigger one down the street. The terrace is really nice in the evening to relax and catch a bit of sun. I stayed in the double room, the bed is a king size with a comfortable mattress on the softer side and the room has a small desk if you need to get some work done. They had cleaning everyday so all the shared spaces were very clean.

The internet is fine to watch videos and I was even able to attend a video call but when trying to login to a computer remotely that was too slow to be practical.

Excellent central location, really good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering us extra blankets and towels at no extra cost. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There is a well stocked shared kitchen, the bathrooms were clean and had a hairdryer, and there is roof top access.

Reception staffed between 10am-6pm but that didn’t cause any issues. There is a whatsapp number available and you can checkout by dropping your key in the box.

Nicely located, close to city centre, comfy beds, affordable price.

Unexpected fauna (pharaoh ants everywhere and some lonely cockroach), no kettle in kitchen.

Loved the rooftop terrace and the kitchen. Location was good, only about 7-8 min walk to the centre. Staff were really kind and helpful too. (Not easy to achieve in a hostel where staff tend to 'burn out' quickly.) With the curtains on the beds and the very high ceilings you have a decent amount of space and even a bit of privacy.

It can be a bit of a challenge fitting in if you are a bit older, but the it's the same issue in any hostel. I still prefer it to a hotel if I'm travelling solo.

shared bathroom quite old but very clean. a bit noisy at night outside but not the fault of the hostel.

I have stayed in this hostel before. It is located in the centre, only a short walk from the marina etc. I think it has been freshened up, rooms painted etc. It had a nice feel to it. Kitchens are available, showers were clean, room was clean and spacious. The staff are lovely and obliging. There is a terrace area outside. The WiFi was good. I'll be staying here again next time I'm in Faro.

Location, 5 mins from bus station, train station, 5 mins from Chapel of bones ,supermarket 3 mins ,loads of bars restaurants, 2 3 minutes walk

Roof terrace great ,however need bins on roof ,and secure artificial grass properly, minor issues ,other than great ,location is fantastic
