I liked everything, personally I always pay attention to toilets and these were very comfortable and clean!! I could even smell the bleach. The shower and toilet are together that makes it comfortable. The beds had curtains for more privacy and there are drawers to put your personal belongings. Also, staff was really nice and explained details of possible things to do. They organise nights with guests which makes it easy to get to know people.
It’s a bit noisy when you leave the windows open but I could sleep properly. You also depend on other guests noise. The door of the room was broken so we couldn’t close it properly and it slammed with the wind. The key didn’t work either because once locked from inside I couldn’t open.

Probably one of the best hostels you can find in Portugal. I was there 6 nights. The staff is amazing and also the housekeeping staff they keep everything so clean. It's really chilled atmosphere and you feel welcome there. They also have family dinner and a pub crawl with there sister hostel " Hostelicius"Every night!! so if Yr travelling solo it's easy to get to know everyone and the family dinner is really good. Sooo good value for money i really reccomend. Elín from Iceland 🇮🇸 ❤️

The hostel is very centrally located. The most important thing in this hostel are their staff, Patricia, Sabrina, I am not remembering the names sorry, all 3 girls were super good 👍 Also Max, from the pub crawl. The beds are comfortable with a curtain. The toilets are always cleaned and there are pretty many bathrooms. Also, there's a nice rooftop, but as it was winter, nothing was happening there, maybe good in summer. The kitchen was fully equipped and also the area is nice to sit and chill with other guests. Join their WhatsApp group, there's something going on every night 🥳
It could be a bit noisy when there's someone at the rooftop or the corridor talking as the doors and windows are not tightly closed.

I haven't stayed in a hostel for a while so I was a bit nervous. Casa d'Alagoa was such a lovely stay. The receptionists were always helpful and friendly and the reception area is stocked with essentials (beer on tap)! There is a dinner and drinks every night which was a good way to meet other travellers. The location was great and in a pretty area of Faro. The beds were comfy and the curtain was great for privacy. It was all super clean and the bathrooms were nice too. I was able to leave my stuff in the room after check out and use all the common areas until i left which was a bonus. Loved the roof terrace!
The 6 person room was a little small for 6 people. I saw some of the other rooms and it was small in comparison. No air con, I think it might be a bit uncomfortable in the summer.

Everything was great. Everyone working in the hostel was friendly and helpful, and the place was very clean. Nice vibe 😀 During my stay there was a pizza night and barbecue organised - good for everyone who likes to socialise and party. I don't, but even during the party it was not very loud, and I slept very well 😀 Bed very comfy, clean, white sheets, very good water pressure under the shower. This place has it all, and I am sure everyone can feel great there 😀 thank you !
Everything was prefect

Good costume service, and modern building.
One of the business partners who offered a tour of the bars, came in intensely offering the tour charging 5 euros, I didn't want to participate in the tour, however I went with another friend to the same bar he went to, and he treated me super arrogant, telling me that I was disturbing him, and that if I wanted to stay there I would have to pay 5 euros, considering that the bar was not exclusive to everyone, I knew the place before so it didn't make sense to pay for the tour, in Then I met friends from hostel on the street and I didn't know they were still on the tour, when this person approached me again and was rude to me again, I was super embarrassed by the way he treated me and other guests too

The hostel is fairly centrally located, a few minutes walk from the Old Town and a few more from the port where beachgoers can find the ferry to get there. The rooms are clean and comfortable, some of the best nights of sleep I've had anywhere. The beds have curtains so you can get some privacy if you want it. The bathrooms (especially the ones outside of the dorms) are clean and cleaned on a regular schedule. The staff are friendly and helpful and gave me some really good suggestions for restaurants and bars, so definitely do ask. They will also help you find/book a range of activities besides the ones that are hosted by Casa and their sister hostel, which happen daily. Nightly dinners and weekend pub crawls are a good way for solo travellers to meet fellow travellers. All that and the fairly active WhatsApp group chat means that you don't have to eat/do things alone unless you want to and I personally found it a nice mix of independence and sociability.
If I was being picky, I'd say that it'd be nice to have the option to have single gender dorms but that's definitely not a dealbreaker. I can understand what other travellers have said about the noise from the reception after 11PM but I personally didn't notice it much, was either out or too tuckered out to notice. Either way, I don't begrudge the staff for having a good time and, as with everything else, communication is key. If it bothers you, just politely ask for some quiet.

Great service 24×7 ,cheerful young adult crowd ,clean rooms and vibrant energy. Many activities like the Pub crawl, daily special dinners and more with the sister hostel are comforting and worth the money .The rooms are clean and the bedding very cozy.Great location.
The doors were challenging to open sometimes. The main door access is solely governed by the reception and you will have to disturb the poor staff Everytime to enter.A entry code would have sorted this trouble. The toilets are good but outnumbered by the number of people who stay .

The location was perfect, very close to the city center. The bed was comfortable and had everything you needed: a large locker underneath the beds, curtains, a socket and a reading light. Everything was kept super clean too!
The only thing that could be an improvement was that when I arrived the guy only brought me to my room and didn't explain anything else. So I had to find out by myself where the bathrooms and kitchen were, what the wifi password was etc.

- amazing location - very central, 10 mins walk to the harbor/central market - outdoor spaces - my absolute favourite thing about this hostel. Just beautiful! - really spacious. Would recommend 12 bed dorm because it’s so big it really doesn’t feel crowded, plus mine had a balcony and 2 en suite bathrooms. I saw a couple of the 6 bed dorms (I think) and they looked fairly cramped. The shared spaces felt really spacious too, with lots of different terraces and places to sit. - Loved the curtains on the beds- added privacy and meant it was easier to sleep with people coming in and out.
- the 12-bed dorm was really noisy and very light too so if you’re a light sleeper this would be a problem - paying for towels - 5€ total, you get 2€ back for retuning the towel. Usually towels are included in hostels/hotels - you have to buy a padlock or bring your own lock to keep your stuff secure. There are drawers under each bunk but locks not included. Overall though would really recommend and would absolutely stay again. The hostel had a really nice vibe, it’s so big it feels really spacious /you don’t feel like you’re on top of other guests and it’s in a beautiful building in central Faro.
