I felt like a guest in someone's cozy home. The appearance of the house inside gave me that feeling. And it is located in the heart of the city, 5 minutes walk to the train station or the main streets of the city, and at the same time it is in a very quiet area.
Since it is a very old house with old furniture, doors and stuff, it can be a bit noisy when there are a lot of guests (talking, slamming doors etc.). The house is not perfectly clean and it would be a good idea to have at least a small brush in the room to sweep the floor from time to time. The mattresses, although comfortable, could also be replaced with new ones, because the ones are worn out. The shower door sometimes does not close properly. My single room was big enough for me as a solo backpacker. However, there was no space for luggage, even if I had one.

It was a lovely room. Very close to the city center and in a lovely area. I loved the fact that you had your own room key and an extra code on the door. I was allowed to check in early and a private transfer from the airport to the property was arranged for me (perfect communication). The host was wonderful. The room was small but cosy and I did not need anything more. There is a kitchen with all the necessary items if you want to cook. You share the bathroom but in my case with only one other person. So that was perfect. Price-quality was good.
It was about 26-30 degrees when I was there. In the single room there is no airco. There is a ventilator but that is not enough to keep the room cold. That is fine at night when the windows are open but not nice during the day when its also hot outside. Next time I would book in another time period or the room with airco (as I see that is also an option). That is the only negative aspect for me.

I had a very cozy single room. Very functionally furnished. The bed was very comfortable, I slept wonderfully. The shared bathroom was clean, everything you need was there. The wifi worked perfectly. The roof terrace looked very inviting for relaxing. The self check-in worked wonderfully. I was even allowed to check in early. The owner Francisco provided all necessary information and access data on time and was always available via WhatsApp. Heartfelt thanks for that. I didn't see or used the kitchen, so I can't say anything about it. As I only used the room to stay overnight, it was perfect for my needs. In summary, I had a very pleasant stay.
The windows in the room were quite heavily steamed up with condensation in the morning after getting up. The old wooden doors are difficult to close and are poorly soundproofed. However, with a bit of practice, the lock works quite well.

This property suited my overnight stay in Faro. It was in a quiet area but still close to bars and restaurants. The room, shared kitchen and bathroom was fine. A range of toiletries was available for use. Check-in and access to the property was easy and trouble-free and communication with the host was very clear. This is the third time that I have stayed overnight in the past two weeks as I was transiting through Faro. I considered it excellent value for money. I will return again.
All was good.

Brilliant value for money and was exactly what I needed. Clean, lovely room and the facilities I needed at a good price, very well located (only ever a 5 mins walk away even if I just wanted to nip back for the loo!).
This may not suit travellers who expect a hotel. It's a shared space so you share a bathroom, and may hear some noise from others moving around/coming in and out. This worked fine for me but others should know a guesthouse is somewhere between a hostel and a hotel :)

I loved the traditional Portuguese touches, the high ceilings, the lovely terrace upstairs,I loved everything about the property
I would have like the bedroom to have a mirror as the bathroom is shared, sometimes we need to get ready and people are in the bathroom, also some guests don’t leave the bathroom cleaned after they use it

The location was great, just a 7 minute walk from Faro train station and an 11 minute uber to the airport. The room was small but it was as advertised and the kitchen was great as well as the two bathrooms. The area was also very quiet at night so we weren’t disturbed. The terrace was lovely to eat breakfast on.
Although we were fine with it do note that the room is very small and storage is limited. Also although the bed sheets and towels already laid on the bed were clean, I took a thicker duvet out of the wardrobe and felt like it hadn’t been washed since the previous user.

Very clean, well quipped kichen, easy instructions to follow for check in (as no reception), walking distance to bus station and 10min car ride from airport.
That the halls and doors are noisy (it ecos), however the property is located on a very quiet street and no noise heard in the hostel after 10pm and before 9am, so really no a complaint from me.

Very quiet and very good location. All good cleanliness.
The door in my room needs trimming, as it catches on the floor and doesn't open completely unless forced, which makes a lot of noise. I would advise the host to cover one of the windows of the entrance door, as otherwise there is a lot of light coming from the corridor, which interferes with sleep. A television in the room would be a nice touch. I paid less for a previous accommodation and it had one.

Quiet location close to train station. Nice place to stay, would definitely stay again. Good communication with host.
Bed not so comfortable. Mattress sagging. Only One plug socket. Would be nice to put an extension cord then you would have more sockets available. Also no insect screen on window, fine for off season but not so good when the mosquitoes arrive. No sheers on the window, only a heavy curtain, not so private in the daytime when curtains are open.
