Front desk staff (Marcelo and Lilyan) were friendly,warm and extremely helpful. It is ideally located with short walk to the harbour where the old town is beautiful. Recommend going on the red tour "bus". We loved eating in Amore Mio restaurant with the food excellent and ambiance superb. Room was clean and well fitted. Shower excellent. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Shopping mall just a 15 mins walk and is very pretty.

Lovely apartment which was really clean. Comfortable bed & nice bathroom with a good shower. Kitchen area was OK & had virtually all we needed for our week long stay. Loved the free coffee available. Having the plunge pool & little sunbathing deck area is welcome in a city hotel too. Really good location for the old town & marina. Close to lots of restaurants. Close to airport, so short transfer time.

Lack of storage for clothes, for guests on a longer stay. The sofa bed wasn't comfortable to sit on as the cushions keep sliding off. The fridge was next to the wall-the door would be better fitted next to the wall rather than on the right-it was awkward getting in to the fridge.

Smart clean hotel. No breakfast except a room tray you could order that was in fact excellent. Free coffee in the seated area downstairs. Plunge pool. Nice area to relax. Excellent staff!!! Loved the balcony over the street. Made one feel you were on a continental holiday while seated out there. Excellent kitchenette, dining and seated area in the suite. Hired bicycles caught the train one day to Tavira then the next to Praia de Faro. Cycled all round Faro. Brilliant.

Booked a double bedded room, unfortunately had twins pushed together made up as a double meaning then only one bedside cabinet as well. No blinds if you want to let the light in but would like a little privacy so you have to keep the curtains drawn. Not ideal when on a romantic holiday adventure.

Roots Hotel it’s a really nice hotel, unfortunately we stayed there only for one night. We rented a small studio with small kitchen, table and double bed. It was nice clean with the view to the recreational area, bed was comfortable. The hotel has a recreational area with a small outdoor pool, outside tables and egg chair. There is a some common are where you can serve yourself a free coffee which was really nice. All hotel looks nice a renovated, really pleasant place to stay in Faro. Location is good close to the Marina and the Old Town and only 10 minutes from Faro Airport.

This is probably the best B&B I've stayed in - the host was very nice and welcoming, a nice comfortable room with enough space, and everything you could really need (incl suncream and aftersun!). Kitchen was great - stocked with water, coffee and tea and plenty of plates/cutlery etc. There's 2 parking spots on the B&B's driveway and alternatively plenty of free street parking. Very close to Aldi and Lidl. Would highly recommend.

It's a little bit further out from the town centre, ~20-25 min walk - which we didn't mind. Also means finding non-tourist trap restaurants along the way.

My son and I stayed here in early September and we loved everything about this hotel. The room was perfect for two people and very comfortable. The building may not look too appealing from outside but the inside seems new and very sleek. Our room was on the fourth floor and quiet. It had mini kitchen with sink, microwave and two burner stove, dishwasher and all of the amenities you would need. We had two single beds and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. Everything was quality. They offered a breakfast but we did not have it. There is limited parking in a garage below the property. There was a lovely back garden area with mini pool. The staff were so kind, helpful and nice. The hotel is in a safe area and very close and walkable to the centre, train station, bus station and the large shopping area is a short walking distance too.

The little pool in the back was chilly. Other than that there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The small pool is ideal to refresh on hot days. Loved the free coffee in the lobby (very tasty!). The room for reduced mobility was very spacious and comfortable.

The bedding was quite hot. Outside the room for reduced mobility, there is a bright light that shines all night long. Sadly, the blackout curtains are not big enough to block all the light. So, not recommended for light or light-sensitive sleepers.

The parking situation is a bit challenging. First, there are only a few parking spots at the hotel entrance. If those are taken by other guests, you won't be able to park for a check-in. This is also a pretty busy one way street, so there is not much time to think there. So, I stopped a few blocks away, came to check-in, got a card from the garage and then went back to bring the car. Second, the garage entrance is a bit tight. I was fine with my 4,5m sedan, but you might be struggling with big cars. Third, there is a crack in the asphalt between the road and the sidewalk, which can be a problem if your car is quite low. Would be great if the hotel personal was able to get it fixed, as this could be a really unnecessary stress for the guests. Note, that there is a lift and stairs from the garage back to the lobby.

I stayed in a studio with balcony with my sister the room was very well presented and clean, bedding changed each day. It had everything we needed.Could not fault this hotel albeit some buildings around it are getting renovated. You can reach the train station by cutting though the little garden opposite the hotel then turn left and its facing you. You can get trains to tavira, Olhão and fuseta etc. Tavira is definitely worth a visit as you can also catch a ferry to the beach if you want the best of both worlds. Fuseta is a great little fishing village with a beach. Staff in the hotel are very friendly and approachable and helped us with our queries. Faro is a great place to visit everyones friendly cafes and restaurants are 5 mins walk away and there's a good selection. If you walk further on passed the faro sign/marina you will come to the old town. There are great restaurants there especially the old tavern. We thought everything about our holiday was fabulous.
