An amazing resort with beautiful rooms. The hotel has a breath taking view of Lisbon and there are plenty of areas to take in the views. Breakfast was outstanding with attentive staff and a good selection of typical continental foods as well as some local speciality dishes. The welcome from the staff was great, they are all very attentive. Housekeeping were brilliant and provided an excellent service on a daily basis. The room was spacious and very comfortable with access to all modern amenities as well as grand pieces of vintage furniture.

There was a slight "stale" smell coming from within the room I was staying in. I think this may be due to the old fittings and furnishings, some air freshener would have neutralised the odour.

Torel Palace has to be one of the most beautiful hotels out there, with the added bonus of been perfectly locatated to take in the stunning views of the city. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to chose from with both hot & cold options, so would be hard pushed to not find something you'll like.  But what really makes this hotel a stand out from others is the staff. From the minute you arrive at the hotel, to literally the minute you leave they look after you.  Everyone is so friendly, helpful and attentive and you really get the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for them. The really want to do everything thing they can to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible and they really do just that. It's all the little touches that make this hotel stand out.  We had a lovely bottle of wine waiting in our room when we arrived and since returning home and looking at the rooms again, it looks like we may have received an upgrade that we weren't aware of at the time.  We knew all the rooms were amazing but did think this one was extra special and that would be why 😊 we will definitely be back !

Nothing, everything was great

The staff were all amazing. Special mention to Fillip, Harry and Pedro. The view was spectacular and the location was sensational. The food was great. Having a Michelin star restaurant on site was truly special. We loved it - the food and the chefs. It was a memorable stay. Thank you 🤩

Not enough power points in the rooms…and was just looking a bit tired. The lift didn’t work…not a biggie but if we were not fit and able I’m not sure how we would have managed.

The staff are terrific. They go above and beyond to be helpful. And they are extremely pleasant as well. The room air conditioner worked very well. And the location and view are superb.

The room was very old. The only closet has the kind of hangars you find in a motel, i.e., anti-theft. Bad vibe about that. One night we returned to find chocolates on the pillow (good) but the door left unlocked (bad). The funicular is fun but twice the conductor gave us trouble. He double-charged us and insisted upon it. He did the same with a German couple next to us. Very anti-foreigner and yet he Is in a customer-forward job. I realize this is not the hotel’s fault, but a warning.

We were given a corner room with windows facing south to the river and west to Barrio Alto and overlooking the hotel gardens and swimming pool. We were lucky with the weather and had the most wonderful light streaming the whole day in the room. The bathroom also had a huge window overlooking the garden, very nice mixture of old furniture and very good size shower. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with plenty of things to choose from, very nice pastries and fresh juice. You can order eggs or omelettes if you don't want scrambled eggs from the buffet. Tables in the conservatory are particularly nice, wonderful view of the hill opposite the hotel. It was our wedding anniversary and my husband ask the hotel to organise some flowers delivered on the day. They arranged with their florist partner the most beautiful bouquet. All the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient but the people working in reception were exceptional and charming. Even though it was the beginning of April the one of the pools was open and guest could use the sun loungers and balinese beds. Most relaxing place to read or have a drink while sunbathing after a day walking and exploring the city. There is a tower - at some point the highest place in Lisbon- in the hotel. If you ask someone will take you up there, incredible views and great opportunity for pictures. Very narrow but very Instagramable ( if you are into that sort of thing)spiral staircase leading to the top.

I think the lighting in the room could be improved, the bedside table lamps were not great for reading and the chandelier in the middle of the ceiling didn't give the best light. Maybe a couple of extra lamps with warm lightbulbs would make the room feel cosier in the evenings. Maybe it was more noticeable because the room had the most fantastic light and feeling during the day.

Second stay at Torel Palace. Amazing boutique hotel, with awesome staff who are always happy to help. Breakfast is amazing with fresh and quality ingredients and plenty of variety. The views from the resort are breathtaking. There are plenty of places to see in the area, including the beautiful Torel Gardens. There are a couple of convenience stores close by as well as a barbers. The resort has undergone some work and this has only added to its beauty. The waiting staff are always polite and provide a good service. The housekeeping keep the rooms spotless and front of house staff are always polite, helpful and willing to assist with any issues. The stay was so comfortable, I decided to extend my time here.

Amazing and romantic place . One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed. From our room (executive) we could see Lisbon from above even if we're lying in our bed . The orientation of the hotel is also fantastic. You can enjoy the sunset from one of the two swimming pools. The place is fantastic very nice breakfast. The old buildings are full of history. Next to the hotel there is one of this trams that help you to go down to the center. The place is better than the photos.

Authentic location with a very nice terrace with a fantastic view on the city. Feels like a holiday location. In the middle of Lisbon yet quiet. Nice authentic English Bar inside the hotel. Rooms are very spacious, well equiped, nicely decorated. They rather feel like an appartment instead of a room. Staff very helpful and in line with 5* standards. Good for a city trip, but also long stays.

The breakfast might look less impressive in this hotel compared to other 5* locations.

Location situated above the city with a wonderful view. In the warmer weather the patio and pool area would be a delight. breakfast was very good and the staff vey helpful . Over all the front desk, house keeping and concierge were very helpful . In fact very responsive to anything we needed. There were two exceptions. One on a food request and the other was it took a bit of insistence for a room change.

The property has had some room refurbishment but is in need of work. The first room we were assigned was dark, poorly lit and very small. Finally. We were shown a room, no view but bright, spacious and quite comfortable. That building was historic so there were sound issues but one could overlook.

Such an elegant hotel with best staff . They cleaned the suite twice a day. Breakfast was amazing. Great views, really helpful and friendly staff. They also had a pool and rooftop, but it was winter so we didn’t use it. I loved this place!

We weren’t informed about the room service. We didn’t see any menu at the room. So we thought there was none but it was. Also heather does not reach the bathroom. It can get cold sometimes.
