Our stay at this resort was truly unforgettable, thanks to the wonderful people who made our experience so special. We were welcomed with warm smiles and kind hospitality from the moment we arrived. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Coming from a family that travels to at least three countries a year and frequently stays at resorts, I can confidently say that Sharq is number 1 in our books! We were immensely impressed. Special shoutout to Yalda, our front desk concierge; Jaime, our event coordinator; Mohamed Ibrahim, for the dates and the best Arabic coffee; Rafik, for driving us around the resort and helping us with our luggage; Kautar Ezzajym, for the welcoming breakfast and making sure we have our latte and juice shot of the day; and John, who always made sure that our needs were met.

What is there not to like. We felt like we were part of the Royal family.

The hotel was excellent. Super rooms! The staff were fantastic. I've never stayed in a place where the staff (special mention for Sara and her colleague at the front desk in the buffet restaurant.!!) were so helpful. Nothing was a problem form them. Hotel rooms were made up everyday. Buffet food was super and so tasty. It changed every day so yo didn't get bored.

Sometime breakfast was a little chaotic. (it was mid term and the hotel was full) There wasn't enough staff on and they struggled to turn tables around quickly. Sometimes you were seated to your table and it wasn't set. They would often run out of glasses at the Juice bar. Again, this is not a criticism of the staff, they just needed more staff. Also, I didn't like to have to get up early to reserve sunbeds. I don't agree with this system.

The resort was fantastic and cozily decorated. The rooms are located in large villas, making it easy to walk to the restaurant and the pool. The rooms were very charmingly furnished, and we enjoyed the spacious balcony. The cleanliness was top-notch. There was fresh fruit in the room upon arrival. Water was unlimited, and the staff constantly made sure we had plenty in the room. The pool area was lovely, and the staff were very service-minded. They took care of sunbeds and umbrellas. Sunscreen was freely available. The staff brought us water and refreshments throughout the day. The area is very large but designed in a cozy way. The resort is located outside the city, but it was easy to get to and from town. The breakfast was really good. We will definitely come back.

We stayed close to the main building, which meant there was quite a bit of noise from the ventilation when we sat on the balcony. We couldn’t hear any noise inside the room

The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with genuine willingness. The resort's services are excellent in every aspect. The breakfast was outstanding, with high-quality and diverse options that catered to all tastes – nothing was missing. The location of the resort is excellent, just 10 minutes from the airport and 12 minutes from Souq Waqif in the city center. There is plenty of space and sunbeds available at the pool and the beach, so you won't have trouble finding a free spot, even during the day. Cleanliness throughout the entire resort is exemplary.

The resort itself was a decent size, it's not huge, so for families it's perfect. My mom was taken ill during our stay and I'd like to thank the security head who acted promptly and efficiently and had the paramedics out within 5 mins. They were so kind and sent goodies to the room, staff had come over to check on us, can not fault it, lovely team.

I think having travelled alot, I believe the kids club needs working on, there's nothing much going on apart from a room, parents are on holiday too and its important to have a facility available where the child doesn't get bored after an hour. Also the crazy music at the pool was a bit much as our terrace opened onto the pool... was a little odd and disruptive. Perhaps opt for something calmer in line with a 5 star resort?

The amenities at the Sharq are second to none. Whether it is the rooms, swimming pools, restaurants and dining, private beach or spa, all are of the highest standard of quality. The cleanliness and condition of the hotel amenities and grounds is immaculate. What really makes this hotel stand out though is the staff, at all levels. The level of customer service and care is exemplary. All the staff, throughout the hotel are geared to ensuring that your stay is as perfect as it possibly can be. They are all very personable and manage to make you feel as though you are the only person staying there. A particular shout out to Melanie (Afternoon tea), Marouane (Guest services) and Manik (breakfast dining) who are outstanding assets to the hotel.

Nothing.

Beautifully laid out complex of villas close to a beach and the Persian gulf with a series of beautiful pools and water features throughout. Rooms were spacious and clean. Each Villa /Riad had a central courtyard with garden. The effect was one of privacy, quietness and tranquility. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and did everything to make our experience a pleasant one. Whilst we originally booked the Sharq purely as a stop over and somewhere to rest between legs of our flight to Australia - it was so much more than that. I has piqued my interest now to return as a destination in itself and see some of the amazing architecture and learn more about this ancient but very modern city. The buffet breakfast and dinner service catered for every possible menu option - Taxis in Doha are so cheap it was a perfect base from which venture out daily to explore the city. I also availed myself of the Spa facilities at the - the Best Facial and manicure I have ever had - albeit expensive. I will return. And thank you to all the staff who made our visit so special.

Nothing of any significance- But if it had to comment on anything at all - and only because I am a designer by profession - the rooms could be simplified. Remove the draped fabric around the 4 poster bed and the volume of silk curtains- paint the rooms white and add a few simple artifacts reminiscent of the Qatari heritage. More reminiscent of the Spa area.

The property is amazing. It’s like you have stepped into an another world. The pools and grounds are clean and so relaxing. The surrounding gardens are absolutely beautiful and well maintained by the ground staff. Our room had a balcony that faced the pool with a beautiful view. It was clean and very spacious with amenities and coffee, tea and water.The property is positioned close to the attractions and transportation is good and affordable. A big thank you to all the dedicated staff who were so attentive and helpful during our stay! The 5 star rating is well deserved! Definitely be back!

Beach, Room, Park, Friendly People, SPA Area and Gym

Food was lacking in variety. 1. only two Restaurant Persian and Lebanese. The other ones are not really for dinning. 2. Maincourse in a liwan were not 5 Star Standard. Desert and Appatizer have been good. I would recommend to make 3 restaurant and concentrate on the style. Serving (bad) Pizza and Sushi in a Lebanese Restaurant is not the right way. Make different style and concentrate on the conzept and make it high class.

Beautifully designed hotel. Loved the heated pool and spa facilities. Buffet was extensive for breakfast especially. Staff around the pool exceptionally friendly and helpful

The cost of food and drink here was so prohibitive that we went without during the day between breakfast and dinner. We understood alcohol would be expensive so £25 for a cocktail wasn’t too much of a shock but £6.85 for a can of coke and £9 for an iced coffee seemed utterly ridiculous!
