The hotel is fantastic. I've loved the interior design: it's beautiful and you really get the Scottish vibe. I recommend to include breakfast because you get a breathtaking view on Edinburgh Castle while eating. The location is amazing: I've been walking to every main Edinburgh attraction. EVERY person in the staff is amazingly helpful and warm. They gave me great advice about where to go, what to do and it has made my trip much easier and better. I'm super grateful and I'll come back with the family!

100 Princes st is a gem! It is absolutely beautiful. The staff is extraordinary. It belongs in the 9.5-10 category. We stayed 5 days and I didn’t want to leave, they were so accommodating and just lovely. There are so many small and large luxuries. Please order a whisky sour from the beautiful bar on your way to dinner, it is the best! I would not stay anywhere else in Edinburgh

My one complaint would be about the beds. It’s a small hotel so to accommodate different room configurations they join twin beds together w a bed joiner. This isn’t a problem but they need to do a better job of covering that strip. Trust me I had zero problems sleeping. I hesitate to even include this as it’s picky. I’m sure they would have fixed that issue had I brought it to their attention. I will 100% return.

Location was fabulous as were the staff team. The mural on the stairway was a real eye opener and added to the authenticity of the hotel. We felt so welcomed.

First and foremost, the staff of the hotel is absolutely amazing and make you feel like you're the most important guest that ever stayed at the hotel. They're all very kind and will go above and beyond to help you. The facilities are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable and spotless clean (albeit very small). It's not a cheap stay (obviously), so worth it if you're looking for a more exclusive experience and not just a nice bed, if that makes sense.

The location doesn't really "match" the hotel. For such an exclusive place, it is located on a very busy street and I (as a very light sleeper) could hear some noise from buses/cars during the night. Having said that, it is a very central location...if you don't mind it being a very busy/touristy street, it shouldn't be an issue... Also, we had a small issue in our room where an small area of the carpet kept getting wet due to some type of leaking issue. The hotel staff was very gracious and offered for us to change rooms, but as we were leaving the next day we decided not to.

Absolutely stunning hotel and location. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this hotel. Staff professionalism is world class and the team are clearly led by an excellent manager as the service is outstanding and the staff seem genuinely happy to be there. Champagne on arrival, treats in our room, incredible views over the castle, turn down service with more treats- we were made to feel welcome and valued for the entirety of our stay, without it being over the top. Tip: Make time for drinks overlooking the castle pre or post dinner and try the cocktails- they are incredible! I rarely return to the same hotel as I like to have different experiences. However, I’ll be making an exception for 100 Princes Street and will definitely be making a return trip!

Nothing. Don’t listen to reviews saying the location is on a busy road. You’re paying for a superb location and with that comes people walking past the hotel when you enter and exit. It’s really not a big deal!

A beautiful oasis just off the busy Princes street with the most amazing and iconic views of Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful and made sure you had everything you needed at all times.

The welcome is warm and lovely, but after a long journey you either want to get straight to your room or relax. They could make the welcome perfect by taking your drink order when you walk through the door and have it ready when you reach the second floor to sit down and check in. The check in process was a little clunky for such a slick hotel.

I loved the style of the hotel. It is charmingly Scottish with its plaid decor. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always inquiring about our comfort and satisfaction. My favorite was the guest services department, with whom I spent quite a bit of time communicating with before our arrival. They assisted me with planning and organizing our trip to our specific needs. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this location. The rooms were gorgeous, the location perfection, food delicious, drinks almost too good, and every single staff member was amazing. This is hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had while traveling. Highly recommend getting breakfast with a cappuccino from the hotel. The expresso martini was my favorite.

I’m not kidding when I say absolutely nothing. 10/10

staff were exceptionally polite attentive and kind

our only criticism was the tables at which breakfast was served - we could not sit up to s was so low and unable to put feet under table because of the design and was very uncomfortable to eat a meal I asked to be moved but could not be offered an alternative - given the very high quality of the hotel and the excellent staff this was disappointing and should be addressed.

The property definitely met our expectations, but the staff surpassed our expectations. The friendly customer service and attention to detail during our anniversary stay made us appreciate the space even more. Thank you. The room with views to the castle and plaid walls also made our time here super cozy during our winter stay. We loved it and will definitely stay here again when we are back in town!
