Centrally based apartment hotel with plenty of amenities for a short stay.

There was a chipped glass in the cupboard, safe hadn’t been left unlocked and there was a problem with the shower control meaning we couldn’t turn it off and two light bulbs out in the kitchen. Minor things that could’ve been checked by housekeeping before we checked in. The shower problem was resolved promptly. We stayed in Room 12 on the first floor. There is an external street light attached to the property wall directly beside the bedroom window. The light is on all night and the light seeps into the room through the gap between the roller blind and window frame. If you’re a “light” sleeper 😉 it might bother you.

The apartment was very complete, with the basic stuff that you usually get plus extras like a washing machine and dish washer, that you don't get that often in other reservations. You can do self-checking, although the machine was not working, but the receptionist did that for us. Plus, you can leave your luggage at the reception with no problem until you do your check-in.

I would love Stewart by Heeton Concepts to give a bit more care to their apartments. Although they are very complete, there were a couple of things that were not working. For example, the hairdryer was broken, so I had to ask for a new one at the reception, then the safe to store sensitive documents or money was already locked, so I couldnt use it; and the toaster was also broken. Another aspect to improve is the cleaning. For example the interior of the oven was clearly not clean, it is as if somebody just finished using it and they forgot to clean it. You could notice dust in some areas of the bathroom and the bedroom.

The aparthotel is in a good central location. The one bedroom apartment with sitting room, bathroom and kitchen is a reasonable size, though the bedroom is a little tight around the queen sized bed. The kitchen area at one end of the sitting room is quite serviceable, large and well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine, though we didn't use any of this kit on our two-night stay for a family wedding.

The check-in tablet didn't work and an attendant had to check us in. Having been deluged with numerous emails about check-in prior to arriving, including a random name on one, we still struggled to follow the instructions as to how to use the tablet, which was frustrating after a long journey. The light over the bathroom sink was u/s. The hot water in the bathroom basin didn't come through even after leaving the tap running for more than five minutes. This was incomprehensible given the abundant hot water in the shower two feet away; likewise in the kitchen sink. Miraculously, on the morning of the second day, hot water appeared from this tap. You cannot explain it. There were insufficient towels on arrival, but we found some in the corridor and helped ourselves.

The apartment was clean, well maintained and in an excellent location close to the city centre and the garden village of Stockbridge. Everything was in easy walking distance but public transport was also very convenient with stops close by. In the flat, the kitchen and bathroom were in very good condition - better than many similar places I have stayed in other cities and there were dishwasher and washing machine tablets readily available if needed.

The washer dryer is an old discontinued model and we couldn't find any online help or manuals to use it and make sure the dry function worked properly. It really is worth someone at the business making a laminated sheet of instructions for users and leaving this within the property. The other thing was that the flat did get a bit too warm (were there late October / late November)

The apartment was clean, fairly comfortable and well equipped. The check-in process was super easy, although we did have to wait whilst the cleaning was completed. The bathroom was great and the shower was hot. The double bed was comfortable. The kitchen area was compact but still had a dishwasher and washer dryer.

The dining area only had two chairs for the three of us. The oven did not have any usable oven trays and the ones inside were stuck. Generally there were a lack of pans and ovenware. The TV in the lounge did not work despite re-tuning but the bedroom TV was fine. The sofa bed was hard.

Had everything we needed for a comfortable few days stay. Excellent location. Close to the Old Town to easily explore the sights yet quiet and away from main streets for a relaxing stay. Lovely to have privacy of self contained apartment in safe building. Had a little issue with the shower but called customer service and it was dealt with quickly and professionally.

Sofa (sofa-bed) was a bit hard and slightly uncomfortable to sit on. Didn’t use as a bed so cannot comment on this.

The property is perfect for solo, couple or group of people traveling because their rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The location is very near to public transport, restaurants and grocery stores. The staff were very helpful and informative too. Check in was very smooth.

The pin code emailed to me was wrong so good thing that there were guests coming in and out of the place who helped me since I came in the evening to check in so please make sure to contact the property for help if any of that happens to you. Up and down slopes are there on the way to the property so if you have big luggages make sure you can carry it or have someone to help you out with it.

The hotel is exceptional. Great rooms, automated check-in and check out. Someone was on hand if any queries and they let us store bags before we checked in and again after we checked out while we waited to return to airport. Central location was a 2minute walk from Princess Street.

The only improvement I could suggest is marking the washing and dishwasher tablets. When we went to leave we put on the dishwasher but it took a while to figure which tablets were for the dishwasher and which were for the washing machine and we didn't want to get it wrong!

Our choice to stay here was really a tough decision. Me and my family literally spent 2/3 days to search for every reviews about this aparthotels and compared it to others. We then decided to booked this aparthotel despite unpleasant reviews that we read. However, it was really the best decisions. We spent 3 weeks in the UK and stayed in four different cities. For sure Stewart by Heeton Concept was one of the best accommodation we stayed at compared to the other three. We only found difficulties at the check in as it was a self check in system, but worry not as the receptionist was there ready to help us. As we got our key cards ready, we were really surprised of how well-equipped. The staffs were also very helpful as they directly came to our room when we didn’t know how to operate some of the stuffs. Extra paper towels, soap, and detergent are also available for us just under the self check-in counter that we can get for as much as we need. And not to mention the strategic location of this aparthotel! Wonderful. It’s just a 5 minutes walk to get to Princes Street. Also walkable distance to get to the famous sight such as the National Gallery and the station. I mean it is Edinburgh.. I really don’t mind walking with the views though. The staffs also very kind as they allowed us for late check out for an hour or so. Very helpful and communicative. Overall it was a very pleasant and wonderful stay here. Definitely recommend this 10/10. If you are hesitating to place your stay, don’t be!

Great value for the price. Location was central and in walking distance to the historic center of town. There was great amenities to make a comfortable stay for my family of 4. There was air conditioning in the bedroom which worked great and is not common in a lot of places. Coffee and tea supplies are provided in the lobby to take to your room. Very clean overall and comfortable bedding was provided. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Nothing that would be a deal breaker. The whole place and specifically living room is smaller than was shown in the picture. When the pull out bed is out, there is not much room to walk around in the living room. There are automatic lights in the barlthroom that you can not control manually. The light turned off several times while showering and had to wave at it to turn back on.
