We were met on arrival by the owner’s son who showed us everything we needed to know about. There was a welcome basket with biscuits and wine - which was a nice touch. There was a starter pack of coffee /tea etc. The apartment was comfortable ; a pleasure to wake up in and to get back to in the evening.

Just a couple of quirks - you might expect in an older property. The roll top bath was beautiful and stylish, but a bit impractical for those who want to pop in and out of the shower (it is a bit of a climb and there’s nothing to hold onto). The hot water should be set at a higher temperature. The toilet cistern in the bathroom is slow to fill up.

We booked this property for my daughter’s wedding and with the permission of the owners they allowed us to have some pictures when she came to us in the morning to get ready. The property is stunning with everything you could need. A lovely welcome package greeted us and the owner took us through everything we needed to know. The location is perfect for the centre and we had an amazing 3 days.

Nothing at all. I would just suggest a small bottle of milk would be great so people can have a cup of tea/coffee after what was a long journey.

The host, Craig met us at the property and showed us around the apartment. Informative and welcoming. Also left a very nice welcome pack with chocolates wine etc. The apartment was very spacious with lots of original Georgian features

There was nothing not to like. Only slight issue was the shape of the bath. It was rounded at the bottom and a little unbalancing when having a shower.

Stunningly beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated and in a great location for exploring Edinburgh. The owners have created a little piece of perfection.

The shower over the bath wouldn’t be ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

Overall, I must say it was a fantastic stay. First and foremost, the apartment itself was absolutely stunning. In fact, I would go as far as to say it was the most beautiful flat I've ever seen. It truly exceeded my expectations and created a wonderful atmosphere for our stay. The host was kind and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a basket filled with sweets and champagne waiting for us. The location was also great. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again in the future. Highly recommend!

It is a beautiful property and made us feel like we were staying in a luxury hotel. We liked the history theme for the property and the decoration was just right. It was very clean and comfortable and Fiona and Craig were very helpful.

We struggled with the over bath shower, as we are used to having a large walk in one at home, but we soon got used to it by the time we left.

Very luxurious and comfortable apartment with heaps of character; has everything you could possibly need for a stay; very comfortable bed; central location. It is even lovelier than the photos show.

Didn’t dislike anything about the property.

Location was perfect, we got the tram from the airport to Princes street and it was a short walk to the apartment which was so easy to do. The apartment itself was just simply stunning and a great way to spend our 10th wedding anniversary. The gift basket was a lovely touch!

I've read about people not being 100% happy with the hot water. For me the shower was fine however I did have a bath one evening which was a tad on the cold side so I would stick to the shower if we were fortunate to come again.

It’s simply gorgeous. Lots of space, high ceilings, beautifully decorated with lots of class and a splash of fun. Well situated close to the castle and some lovely shops. Excellent check in process and great communication throughout - very thoughtful too, leaving us some yummy snacks and a bottle of bubs.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. It was amazing. One small recommendation would be to have a non slip bath mat available as it’s a wee bit slippy in there.

From the start the communication with the hosts was great. A couple of days before we let them know when we would get to Edinburgh, they were able to arrange to meet us at the apartment to hand over the keys and give us a guided tour. It's a lovely Georgian apartment in the New Town. Great location, less than 20mins on foot from Waverley station. Plenty of great pubs, bars and restaurants nearby.
